Dow ad hits Ronchetti over 2019 climate change, anti-Trump comments

On Tuesday, state Rep. Rebecca Dow released a new advertisement showing fellow Republican gubernatorial candidate Mark Ronchetti’s ties to George Soros-funded groups, first reported by the Piñon Post in 2020. Ronchetti addressed a “climate change” event in 2019 at the University of New Mexico, where he pledged to work with climate activists

As we previously reported:

The radical group Ronchetti partnered with, Climate 350, is currently funding a campaign called “Vote Climate” that plans to use people in the media to help “educate” the public, namely REPUBLICAN VOTERS who they believe do not acknowledge the “science of climate change.”

Dow’s campaign wrote about the ad in an email to supporters, “Not only are we battling Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and their liberal crony MLG – but we’re fighting a two-front war against a well-funded fake Republican using DC establishment money to sell the fairy tale that he is still a Republican.”

“Even though he ADMITTED he wasn’t a Republican anymore, because of ‘the orange one’… Three guesses who he’s insulting,” referring to Ronchetti’s jab at President Donald J. Trump.

“That’s right. He’s not only a Never Trumper, but a Soros-backed climate activist and a PRETENDER to the Republican nomination,” added Dow’s team.

Watch the ad, which is titled “Pretender,” below:

MLG’s alleged groping victim may have info on sitting official tied to Epstein

On Monday, scandal-ridden alleged serial groper Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s ex-staffer, James Hallinan, who she paid over $150,000 for groping claims, made a cryptic tweet. He wrote that a “sitting” elected official might have been closely tied to pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Hallinan wrote that these connections between Epstein and this unnamed elected official “include rides to [and] from the airport and his ranch,” referring to Zorro Ranch in Santa Fe County, where Epstein is said to have raped underaged women.

“If the residents can substantiate it, it’ll be explosive and I’ll name said elected,” wrote Hallinan.

He concluded by adding, “stay tuned…”

New Mexicans are well-aware of former Democrat Gov. Bill Richardson’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein, with the ex-state chief executive being named in the pedophile’s “little black book.”

But it is unclear who this “sitting elected official” could be, as there are many who were and still are close to Richardson, including Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham who was the state Secretary of Health under the ex-governor from 2004 to 2007.

Many New Mexicans opined on Hallinan’s tweet, with one person writing, “Keller? Heinrich? Richardson? Michelle Lujan Grisham? Stansbury? Stapleton? I wouldn’t be shocked if it was a WOMAN.”

Another wrote, “Well if this is true, it is going to be fun!”

Time will tell what information Hallinan may know, but to many New Mexicans, it would be no surprise to have such an individual in state government, given the many powerful men and women who have fallen from grace, such as former Democrat House Majority Leader Sheryl Williams Stapleton, who is facing federal charges for racketeering, fraud, and other serious crimes.

Bernie Sanders applauds MLG’s socialist ‘free’ college program

This week, socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) applauded Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham and the Democrats’ free (taxpayer-funded) college proposal that will waste $75 million annually on socialist college programs.

“New Mexico has led the way in making its public colleges and universities tuition-free regardless of income or immigration status. I sincerely hope that the rest of the country follows their lead,” wrote Sanders while posting a video applauding the socialist program.

“The government of New Mexico has made their public colleges and universities tuition-free. I congratulate them. The New Mexico Legislature passed the New Mexico Opportunity Scholarship Act. This will let New Mexicans pursue a higher education for free.

“I hope that other states will be following them,” said Sanders.

Ten House Republicans joined Democrats to vote for Lujan Grisham’s 2022 budget that funded these radical programs when they didn’t even have to. They included Reps. Gail Armstrong (Magdalena), Brian Baca (Valencia), Rachel Black (Alamogordo), Jack Chatfield (Tucumcari), Kelly Fajardo (Tome-Adelino), Joshua Hernandez (Rio Rancho), T. Ryan Lane (Aztec), Bill Rehm (Albuquerque), Luis Terrazas (Bayard), and Jane Powdrell-Culbert (Corrales).

Now, New Mexico taxpayers will be forced to perpetually fund free college because of Lujan Grisham and the Democrats’ legislation.

Taxpayers pay UNM’s $350K legal bill in death of mother during late-term abortion

On Wednesday, the legal group Abortion On Trial released information about a years-long legal settlement after a referral from the University of New Mexico that resulted in the death of 23-year-old Keisha Atkins of Albuquerque.

“According to [a] public records request, The University Of New Mexico has agreed to pay the Estate of Keisha Atkins a settlement of $365,000.00 over the claim of negligent referral to an abortion provider leading to the death of 23-year-old Keisha Atkins, who died of sepsis during her elective 24-week abortion,” wrote the group in a news release.

“UNM should have never referred Keisha to Curtis Boyd’s outpatient abortion facility, Southwestern Women’s Options.” said Jamie Jeffries, Executive Director at Abortion On Trial. “It is unacceptable medical care to perform an induction abortion outside of a hospital. Practitioners everywhere should be aware that referring women to private abortion clinics can result in legal action and subsequent liability.”

The group’s news release continues:

Not only was Keisha Atkin’s elective 6 month abortion taxpayer funded through New Mexico Medicaid, the $365,000.00 settlement agreed to by UNM, a publicly funded university, will be paid for by New Mexico taxpayers. The Decision by UNM to participate in referring women to Curtis Boyd’s Southwestern Women’s Options abortion facility in Albuquerque is a decision taxpayers are now force to be involved in. While public university funding should be going toward further education needs, this case and settlement has redistributed hundreds of thousands of dollars away from New Mexico students.

Attorney Mike Seibel, who was involved in securing the settlement, wrote to his friends, “Of the attorneys fees generated from the UNM, $365000 settlement I donated a good amount to pregnancy centers, sidewalk advocates, pro life candidates and pro life causes.  The money man intended to use for evil God turned to good.  It’s time to win this battle.”

NM Republicans score legal win in Dem gerrymandering case

On Tuesday, the New Mexico Republican Party (RPNM) announced it had scored a legal win in the Fifth Judicial District Court over Democrats in a battle to overturn Democrats’ gerrymandered congressional maps.

Judge Fred Van Soelen denied the defendants’ request to dismiss the case, saying RPNM can “continue its litigation and claims under the state Constitution,” according to a press release.

“(The) Plaintiffs complaint makes a strong, well-developed case that Senate Bill 1 is a partisan gerrymander created in an attempt to dilute Republican votes in Congressional races in New Mexico. They make a strong, well-developed case that Senate Bill 1 does not follow traditional districting principles, including a lack of compactness, lack of preservation of communities of interest, and failure to take into consideration political and geographic boundaries,” ruled Van Soelen.

RPNM’s news release noted, “While the Court ruled there is not enough time to redraw maps or interfere with the 2022 Primary and General Elections, the ruling allows RPNM to continue to move through the courts to change the Congressional maps so that they will provide equal protection under the law and fair and just representation.”

“We are pleased with the Court’s ruling and that the Court understands that we have important and legitimate claims under the Constitution,” said RPNM Chairman Steve Pearce.

“These Congressional maps were ramrodded through the Democrat-led legislature for political gain. This is not a political issue but a fairness issue—we want to ensure that all the voices of New Mexicans are protected and represented by these maps, regardless of their political beliefs. The Court recognizes that we have strong evidence to support our claim of blatant illegal gerrymandering that rips apart communities of interest and disenfranchises voters across the state. RPNM will always stand for fairness, the rule of law, and the core principles of our democracy.”

Previously, the Legislature forewent reasonably drawn maps to adopt radically gerrymandered maps drawn by the George Soros-funded dark money group Center for Civic Policy (CCP). These maps were rammed through the Legislature with little to no debate from the public in a closed-door gerrymandering session where only those who wore masks and were jabbed were allowed entrance.

Kamala Harris to officiate MLG’s wedding in D.C.

On Tuesday, it was reported that scandal-ridden alleged serial groper Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham will have Kamala Harris officiate her wedding on May 21 in Washington, D.C. Lujan Grisham is marrying her fiancé, Manny Cordova.

“We’re delighted to celebrate our wedding in front of family and close friends,” Lujan Grisham and Cordova said in a joint statement. “Like so many New Mexicans, we’ve postponed family celebrations over the past two years during this pandemic. We feel fortunate to be with our loved ones in celebration of our marriage.”

The statement comes as an interesting surprise since Lujan Grisham repeatedly bucked her pandemic orders to buy jewelry. She also feasted on taxpayer-funded Wagyu beef while New Mexicans were ordered to wait in cold breadlines to buy food and basic needs over the holidays during COVID-19.

The couple was initially planning to get married in 2021 but had not set a date, said Jared Leopold, a spokesman for Lujan Grisham,” according to KOB 4.

Woke Santa Fe paper claims CRT doesn’t exist in NM schools

On Monday, the far-left Santa Fe New Mexican editorial board went all-in on defending the racist Critical Race Theory teachings that are indoctrinating New Mexico school children.

The leftist editorial board wrote, “Fights over what is being taught in schools are happening across the United States, framed as parents fight back against so-called critical race theory. Which, by the way, is not being taught in K-12 public schools, if facts mattered.”

The New Mexican’s editorial board appears to have been sleeping under a rock since just in 2021, it was reported that in the Albuquerque Public Schools alone, children were being taught Critical Race Theory through its social studies curriculum.

As we previously reported:

The book list includes the revisionist “A People’s History of the United States” by discredited leftist indoctrinator, Howard Zinn, “A Queer History of the United States for Young People” by left-wing activist Richie Chevat, “THINK Race and Ethnicity” by Mona Scott, which is chock full of racist Critical Race Theory principles and “social justice” indoctrination regarding feminism, immigration, and race in general.

Dr. Lindsay writes on Twitter, “This isn’t education. It’s Critical Theory programming.” He noted that the books shown are for the “social studies curriculum only. Don’t be alarmed that no math or science, etc., is on there. It’s not meant to be.”

“Nearly all of the proposed social studies curriculum in Albuquerque, NM, schools is geared around Critical Theory interpretations of American history and social life. The goal would obviously be to make students think negatively about their country and state. I should also point out how much of the recommended reading list is feminist, which will serve the same Critical agenda. The goal is, yet again, to criticize the existing society (per Marx’s ‘ruthless criticism of everything that exists’) to demolish faith and support for it.” he continued.

“Many of these books will be defended as ‘providing a different perspective/voice,’ and people will be challenged to say what they think is wrong about alternative perspectives/voices. That’s a trap. It’s the leveraging of all curricula to Critical Theory ends, which is wrong.”

The paper claimed that those who are against teaching Critical Race Theory in elementary schools through the updated social studies standards are fighting fictitious “elites” that are attempting to indoctrinate children, calling the outrage “a bunch of hooey.”

They went on to claim pushback over the standards by New Mexicans constitutes “alarmist language”

“That it is becoming a wedge issue in the 2022 election season is unfortunate. The nation and state face real challenges — a pandemic, the climate crisis, rising prices, homelessness and so many more. Time spent going after a threat to children that does not exist is time wasted,” it added.

The New Mexican’s editorial board concluded, “History is rich enough to include many voices. That’s a longstanding New Mexico tradition in this the state of ‘united cultures.’ To do any less would fray the ‘perfect friendship’ among those cultures.”

But the divisive topics that made it to the final version of these standards is not “rich cultural history”

These include having children “[a]ssess how social policies and economic forces offer privilege or systemic inequity in accessing social, political, and economic opportunity for identity groups in education, government, healthcare, industry, and law enforcement.”

Other divisive language in the standards include anti-Hispanic racism targeting Spanish settlers in the United States. One standard reads that students are to “[c]ompare the patterns of exploration, destruction and occupation of the Americas by Spaniards.”

But to the Santa Fe New Mexican editorial board, this is what encompasses a “rich history,” as taught in public schools while CRT supposedly doesn’t exist, in their opinion.

Amid tough reelection, pro-abortion Rep. Leger Fernandez plays up spirituality

This Easter season, far-left U.S. Rep. Teresa Leger Fernandez is playing up her supposed Catholicism, sharing photographs and videos of her pilgrimage to Santuario de Chimayó, an annual Lenten pilgrimage for healing in northern New Mexico.

Leger Fernandez, who was first elected in 2020 as a radical pro-abortion up-to-birth candidate, recently had her district lines redrawn to only favor Democrats by a thin five points. So, this Easter season, she is pulling out all the stops, even posing in front of a statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe to wish Santuario de Chimayó pilgrims a safe journey.

She said in the clip, “It’s Good Friday. I know we’re each doing the thing that sustains us and fulfills us. I’m beginning my walk to the Santuario. And I wish all those who are walking, all those who are reflecting, all those who are thinking about Spring and this beautiful day, a beautiful day today.”

In another clip posted to Twitter, Leger Fernandez admired the lowriders, a staple of Española-area culture, while she walked to the shrine.

Then on Saturday, Leger Fernandez posted on Twitter with some workers from Olivia’s Café in Las Vegas, “Sending gratitude to all those who are working hard to help New Mexicans enjoy this holiday weekend – like the wonderful staff of Olivia’s in Las Vegas! If you are going out to celebrate, please remember to #eatlocal!”

On Easter Sunday, Leger Fernandez posted, “Happy Easter Sunday – y felices Pascuas! May all who are celebrating today have a joyful Sunday surrounded by family and loved ones. May the Lord bless you and keep you – que Dios te bendiga y su familiar.”

Although Leger Fernandez is playing up her spirituality during Easter, she supports full-term abortion and has been one of the most vocal supporters of the child-killing procedure in the state.

She wrote in September 2021 that Congress must pass the abortion up-to-birth “Women’s Health Protection Act,” which she claimed secured access to “abortion care.”

She also posted support for abortions alongside far-left Rep. Melanie Stansbury, who also backs unlimited abortions for any reason:

The irony of Leger Fernandez posing in front of Our Lady of Guadalupe is that the Marian apparition is not only the Patroness of the Americas in the Catholic Church, but she is also the Patroness of the Unborn.

Nearly 500 years ago, Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared to St. Juan Diego nearly 500 years ago as the foremost mother of God.

“Listen, and let it penetrate your heart, my dear little son; do not be troubled or weighted down with grief. Do not fear any illness or vexation, anxiety or pain,” Our Lady of Guadalupe is quoted as comforting Diego. “Am I not here who am your Mother? Are you not under my shadow and protection? Am I not your fountain of life? Are you not in the folds of my mantle? In the crossing of my arms? Is there anything else you need?”

Her miraculous apparition led to the defeat of child sacrifice across the Americas. “In 1531, the apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe brought an end to human sacrifice all over the Americas,” reported AXTCatholic.

During the dedication of a new pyramid temple the Chronicles of 1487 show that up to 80,000 human sacrifices occurred in four days. Woodrow Borah, a leading authority on the demography of Mexico at the time of the Spanish conquest, estimated that the number of humans sacrificed in Mexico in the fifteenth century to be 250,000 per year. The early Mexican historian Ixtlilxochitl estimated that one out of every five children in Mexico was sacrificed to the Aztec gods.

But the apparitions of Our Lady of Guadalupe changed darkness into light almost overnight even though in 1534 King Henry VIII declared himself supreme head of the Church of England. Approximately 8-10 million Catholics left the Church in Europe due to the Reformation and at the same time approximately 8-10 million Aztecs converted to the Roman Catholic Church because of the apparitions.

Now, as Leger Fernandez attempts to cling to power by being elected to another term in Congress, she hopes voters will see her social media posts touting supposed Catholic faith while ignoring her stalwart support for the ending of unborn lives in the womb — the very opposite message of Our Lady of Guadalupe and the teachings of the Church.

MLG extends COVID emergency order, Scrase insists New Mexicans get jabbed

On Friday, Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s New Mexico Department of Health renewed COVID-19 “emergency health orders” throughout May 16, 2022.

In a news release, the Department wrote, “COVID-19 cases have dropped since March and hospitalizations continue to be low. However, the most recent two-week data shows the new Omicron BA.2 variant makes up 22.1 percent of cases in New Mexico and continues to expand across the state, trailing behind the rest of the county.”

Health Secretary Dr. David Scrase, who has repeatedly flip-flopped on science during the pandemic, claimed that New Mexicans must now get another dose of the coronavirus shot.

“If you need your first, second, third or fourth vaccine dose, please get vaccinated – this is especially important for more socially vulnerable individuals and communities, where the risk of severe disease is more than doubled.”

In response to the renewed health orders, state Rep. Rebecca Dow (R-Truth or Consequences), who is running for governor, wrote, “MLG just renewed the ‘emergency health orders’ through May 16th. As long as she is in office they will never end!”

She added, “No more COVID tyranny. No more mandates. No More vaccination requirements as a condition or employment or enrollment at public colleges. End it now!”

Other Democrat-run places like Philadelphia, Pennsylvania have already begun new lockdown orders, with mask mandates returning.

It is unclear if similar measures will be reimplemented again in New Mexico, but it may be unlikely due to Gov. Lujan Grisham facing a tough reelection. Any extension of the pandemic theatre may significantly lose independent and Democrat votes she would need to secure a second term.

MLG’s NM Enviro Dept. releases ‘strict’ Green New Deal-style emissions rule

On Friday, Democrat Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s New Mexico Environment Department released its crippling new enviro-Marxist emissions rules that will further harm New Mexico’s industries and consumers.

According to a release from the Department, “The new rule establishes emission reduction requirements for equipment including storage vessels, compressors, turbines, heaters, engines, dehydrators, pneumatic devices, produced water management units, and more. The new rule also establishes emission reduction requirements for processes such as well workovers, hydrocarbon liquid transfers, liquids unloading, pig launching and receiving, and more.”

“The new rule sets foundational requirements for all oil and gas operators to calculate emission rates and have those calculations certified by a qualified engineer, perform monthly checks for leaks and fix them within 15 days, and maintain records to demonstrate continuous compliance. Building upon the foundational requirements are strict standards for equipment and processes that emit larger quantities of pollution,” it continues.

The Department claims the rule “will eliminate hundreds of millions of pounds” of emissions from oil and gas in New Mexico to establish “ innovative and actionable regulations to curb the formation of ground-level ozone.”

Lujan Grisham lauded the new rule, claiming, “This is a momentous step forward in achieving our goals of lowering emissions and improving air quality.”

Environment Department Secretary James Kenney added, “Over the next few months, we will begin robust and innovative compliance assurance activities to ensure oil and gas operations are adhering to these new requirements.”

Enviro-Marxist groups lauded the emissions rule as a “big win” for “climate action.”

Larry Behrens, the Western States Director for the pro-energy group Power The Future wrote regarding the emissions rule, “Just like Joe Biden, Governor Lujan Grisham is forcing radical green policies through bureaucratic back doors instead of trying to pass them through the legislature. Even a legislature dominated by her party rejected her extreme gas price hike this year, but that’s not stopping her from pushing her agenda. The next time the governor’s shrinking group of supporters claims she has no responsibility in the high gas prices in our state, you can point to decisions like this one.”

“We participated in the … efforts to regulate ozone precursors, even though the oil and gas industry contributes less than 3 parts per billion of ozone out of the roughly 75 parts per billion that exists today,” Doug Ackerman, president and CEO of the New Mexico Oil and Gas Association, wrote in an email to the Santa Fe New Mexican.
