Lockdown 2.0? MLG threatens ‘everything is on the table’ amid mask, vaxx pushback

On Monday, scandal-ridden alleged serial groper Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham spoke to the media in her office for a press conference, confirming to them what many New Mexicans have already been feeling amid the next wave of “Delta variant”  

The Governor claimed it was time to make “any number of tough decisions ” and that “everything is on the table.” 

Now, those fears are already becoming a reality, with Lujan Grisham’s New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) sending demanding letters to school districts, including blackmailing them into compliance by threatening to remove their charter, remove superintendents, and even school board members.

Sen. Gregg Schmedes (R-Bernalillo, Sandoval, and Santa Fe) wrote on Monday, “.I just got off the phone with the school board assoc. The New Mexico Public Education Department is threatening to remove superintendents and school board members who pass resolutions against masks. There’s also a threat to remove their insurance.”

Schmedes asked New Mexicans to “please call your local board and superintendent asking them to pass resolutions. The powers in Santa Fe can’t force their will on us if we all participate. Ask simply for local control. Let local boards make their own decisions about masks.” 

The masking and jabbing fiasco begins in places like Albuquerque, where the University of New Mexico is reversing course from a few weeks ago and now requiring every single person on campus to be inoculated with the non-FDA approved virus jab. 

KRQE 13 reports, “In a letter to the campus community Monday night, UNM President Garnett Stokes said officials were optimistic their cash incentive program would prompt enough people to get the shot but she says it has proven not to be enough. The mandate will be for students, facility and staff to get the vaccine as soon as possible and no later than September 30.” 

But other places, such as the Floyd Municipal School District are not complying with the Governor’s push to forcibly mask and jab children and teachers. They voted at the end of July to make masks and inoculations optional, which prompted the Governor’s NMPED to send a threatening letter demanding the district submit by August 3, 2021, or it could result in “could result in adverse licensure actions against licensed individuals, suspension of school board governance, and other applicable enforcement actions.”

The school district did not take kindly to the NMPED’s veiled threats and on Monday voted to send a letter to the Department saying that the NMPED did not have the authority to remove the board for non-compliance. 

Time will tell what adverse actions will result from the Floyd School Board’s unwavering spirit, but it is starting to grow public opinion, with hundreds of New Mexicans joining in statewide protests against Lujan Grisham’s forcible masking of school children. 

It is unclear if the Governor will reinstitute another lockdown, but the last one devastated New Mexico, resulting in 40% of small businesses closing.

Floyd schools to hold Monday meeting amid threats from MLG’s NMPED over mask mandates

On Monday, the Floyd Municipal School District in Roosevelt County will convene for a special meeting following Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s New Mexico Public Education Department and its “bullying tactics” due to the Floyd schools passing a reopening resolution not mandating masks or social distancing.

Floyd School Board President Leon Nall said to KOB 4, “I don’t think the Department of Education understands what’s going on in rural America.” 

The reasonable approach by the school board includes, “If anyone feels safer with a mask, we have no objections to them wearing masks,” according to Nall. “If anyone has a fear of what we are doing, we will make the accommodations.”

KOB reported, “In Floyd, the average class size is about 12 students. The district said last year they saw many students move to nearby Texas districts or private schools. Their guidelines are meant to help attract students back.” 

The Floyd Municipal School Board will hold a meeting on Monday, August 2, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. in the high school computer lab, where the Board will discuss the threats from NMPED. More information on the meeting can be found here.

NM House Dems tap Gallegos for majority leader post following Williams Stapleton’s resignation

On Saturday, New Mexico House Democrats tapped majority whip Rep. Doreen Gallegos (D-Doña Ana) as acting majority leader following the resignation of former majority leader Rep. Sheryl Williams Stapleton, who is under investigation for graft.

Williams Stapleton allegedly took millions from Albuquerque Public Schools (APS) funding, which was spread to businesses tied to her, her son, and non-profits she was associated with. This happened for approximately two decades. 

Following Gallegos’ interim appointment to the post, Speaker Brian Egolf (D-Santa Fe) said, “We are fortunate to have a number of highly-qualified and capable members who would serve as excellent additions to leadership.” He added, “Given the serious responsibilities of this position, we want to ensure that potential candidates and caucus members have the time needed before a careful selection is made.”

“I am honored and ready to step into the role of Acting Majority Floor Leader and ensure that the Majority Office continues to serve all of our constituents seamlessly,” Gallegos said of her appointment. 

The news of Gallegos’ appointment comes amid calls by conservatives, such as Paul Gessing of the Rio Grande Foundation, who are demanding disgraced former Democrat leader Williams Stapleton’s name be taken off of the African American Performing Arts Center at Expo New Mexico which bears the embattled politician’s name.

Gessing says, “We have this facility now named after somebody who is in serious legal hot water, and we don’t know what the results will be, but it doesn’t look good at this time.” He continued, “If she is found guilty of a fraction of what she’s accused of, the name should be taken off the building.”

The Democrats will have to deal with Williams Stapleton’s alleged public corruption and Democrat Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s scandal-ridden tenure in 2022, as they seek to keep their majorities and power in the Governor’s Mansion.

Floyd school district stands up to MLG’s draconian school mask, vaccine mandates

On Monday, July 26, 2021, the Floyd School Board of Roosevelt County held a special meeting to buck scandal-ridden Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s edicts regarding school masking and vaccinations. It passed a resolution stating that masks are optional, social distancing is optional, transportation will return to normal, no temperature checks, surveillance testing is optional for staff, if a staff member wants to be tested, athletic Teams follow the rules of the teams they visit, allow parents to pick up and drop off students to the classroom, and resume all classroom activities/parent involvement, among other measures.

In a letter obtained by the Roosevelt Review dated July 27, 2021, by former Public Education Department secretary Ryan Stewart, he demanded, “By noon on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, the board must take official action at a public meeting to rescind the actions listed above and/or to adopt a course of action that conforms to the published health and safety requirements.” Stewart resigned on July 29, 2021. 

The School Board’s action came after the Governor mandated objectively unreasonable mandates in schools, including requiring all elementary school children to wear masks all day, requiring students to show proof of vaccinations, or else they must be masked, forced vaccinations on teachers and school personnel or else they are subjected to extreme testing, segregating children based on vaccination status, as well as sending students home if they refuse to comply.

In Stewart’s letter, he added, “A failure by the board to provide written confirmation of a vote rescinding the offending course of action and/or adopting a course of action that conforms to the published health and safety requirements by noon on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, or any further violations of COVID-Safe Practices, could result in adverse licensure actions against licensed individuals, suspension of school board governance, and other applicable enforcement actions. Any punitive actions by the board against the Superintendent, other administrators, or school or district staff for following COVID-Safe Practices may result in immediate suspension of school board governance. Furthermore, the District will be subject to ongoing monitoring and site visits to ensure compliance with health protocols.” 

But Leon Nall of the Floyd School Board wrote, “This information we received was unacceptable to proceed to provide the best possible education for the students of Floyd Municipal Schools.  The Floyd School Board reviewed many documents and audio messages by creditable presenters and authors explaining possible Health risk and the ineffectiveness of preventing the spread of Covid-19 with mask use.  Additional information was reviewed stating the health risk potential of getting the Covid Vaccine.  There are many possible undesirable side effects.”

He added, “The motion was made and passed to proceed without required mask usage.  Mask will be optional and choosing to use will be the decision of the individual in the school district.” 

This is just the latest instance of New Mexicans fighting back against Gov. Lujan Grisham’s extreme mandates. New Mexicans will be holding a statewide school mask protest on Saturday, July 31, 2021. More information can be found here.

‘This isn’t a debate’: MLG forces state employees to get vaccinated ‘or else’

On Thursday, Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham announced she will force all employees of the State of New Mexico to be vaccinated with the non-FDA approved COVID-19 inoculation, otherwise, they will be subjected to an unreasonable amount of testing, effective beginning August 2, 2021.

“Under the order, state employees who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 shall be required to demonstrate a negative COVID-19 test at least once every two weeks,” a press release from the Governor’s office read. 

“State employees who are not fully vaccinated, under the order, must wear a facemask when indoors during the course and scope of their employment — with minor exceptions for eating and drinking. (Pursuant to updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, it is recommended vaccinated individuals resume wearing facemasks indoors as well.)” 

The Governor also threatens termination of State employees if they refuse to be coerced into taking the vaccine or if they do not subject themselves to the extreme testing criteria. The press release reads, “Employees who do not comply may be subject to disciplinary action, including termination, in accordance with applicable law.” 

Lujan Grisham proclaimed, “Right now, it’s very simple: Get a vaccine, or else you will be tested.” She added, “There will be no quarter for this virus within state government offices. I will not tolerate any unnecessary risk within the workforce under my authority. And I strongly encourage other New Mexico government agencies and private sector employers to consider doing the same.”

“I have absolutely zero appetite for another unnecessary surge of infections, hospitalizations and death,” the Governor added. “This isn’t a debate. The vaccines are safe, and they work. Misinformation to the contrary will lead to illness and death — not to mention full hospitals and economic disruption.”

“If you are eligible to be vaccinated and choosing not to, you are giving the virus an opportunity to mutate and spread. Please do not jeopardize anyone’s life, anyone’s livelihood or our state’s economic recovery. Get vaccinated,” she demanded.

Following her order, the Republican Party of New Mexico blasted the order, with Chairman Steve Pearce writing, “This is the latest example of Gov. Lujan Grisham overstepping her authority and having government make personal choices for its citizens. Now she is threatening to fire any state employee if they don’t comply with her executive order.”

“Again, there is no rhyme or reason to her random decisions. The Governor has never had a logical or sensible plan to deal with the pandemic from day one, and this latest knee jerk reaction to deal with COVID is a slap in the face to hardworking state employees. No science, just politics. The Governor should be focused on what’s happening at our border as more and more people with COVID are crossing into New Mexico. They are coming here with no proper health checks, vaccinations or masks, posing great threats to the health and well-being of New Mexicans,” he added.

The sudden move by Lujan Grisham comes after months of fear-mongering over the supposed “Delta variant,” which she claims is more dangerous than COVID-19.

Alleged groper MLG amid Dem leader probe: Gov’t must be held to highest ‘standard of behavior’

On Wednesday, following news that Democrat majority leader Rep. Sheryl Williams Stapleton (D-Bernalillo) had been served search warrants by the Attorney General’s Office, scandal-ridden Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham issued the following statement:

“I am deeply, deeply troubled by the reports this morning about a law enforcement investigation into Rep. Stapleton. People are innocent until proven otherwise, and I know investigators will follow the facts wherever they lead. I await more information like all New Mexicans. But I will say that public confidence in government is seriously damaged by even the appearance of impropriety, or illegal activity, which is why public officials must always hold themselves to the highest possible standard of behavior. New Mexicans expect and deserve elected officials who, regardless of party, will put the people before themselves. Anything less violates a sacred public trust and must be dealt with accordingly.”

The sentiments from the Governor ring hollow for many New Mexicans, as she previously spent millions in taxpayer dollars without the Legislature’s approval, had hundreds of millions of dollars go missing from the Department of Workforce Solutions, had paid off $62,500 to an ex-staffer who alleged she poured water on his genitals and grabbed his penis, and paid off her daughter $6,000+ for cosmetics with campaign funds. 

Now, her sudden urge to have public servants “always hold themselves to the highest possible standard of behavior” comes off as massive hypocrisy.

The Albuquerque Public Schools superintendent Scott Elder notified Attorney General Hector Balderas of Leader Stapleton’s relationship with a company, Robotics Management Learning Systems LLC, that has done more than $5 million in business with APS over the last 13 years.

MLG wants citizens, even the fully vaccinated, to wear masks indoors in fear of ‘Delta variant’

On Tuesday, scandal-ridden Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, who was accused and later settled for sexual assault, announced that she had brought back her request for New Mexicans to wear masks indoors, even if they are fully inoculated. 

Her announcement came after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) once again made a backflip in its guidelines, which previously said fully jabbed individuals could go without a mask indoors. Now, due to the “Delta variant” of the virus, it is recommending that “everyone in areas of substantial/high transmission should wear a mask, even if vaccinated.” 

Lujan Grisham, who has been fear-mongering over the Delta variant for some time now, previously said, “It’s a deadly virus, it’s not going to go away. This variant is serious.” 

Either she had some insider information on the CDC’s next move, or her wish came true because now she is reinstituting her pleas for citizens to follow the draconian mask guidelines.

On Twitter, she wrote, “Per the latest @CDCgov guidance, we recommend that all New Mexicans wear a mask indoors out of an abundance of caution as we work to suppress the Delta variant. Unvaccinated New Mexicans are urged to schedule their vaccination appointments immediately at http://VaccineNM.org.”

Joe Biden said, “The more we learn about this virus and the delta variation, the more we have to be worried and concerned. And there’s only one thing we know for sure — if those other 100 million people got vaccinated, we’d be in a very different world.”

Lujan Grisham has been pushing for New Mexicans to get the inoculation, even using $10+ million in taxpayers’ money to bribe New Mexicans via a lottery. She used the percentage of jabbed individuals as a benchmark to “reopen” the state, and coincidentally, all 33 counties turned “turquoise” (the best benchmark) right before her re-election launch.

As the school year comes around the corner, Lujan Grisham has instituted new guidelines forcing masks on kindergarteners, segregating children based on vaccination status, forcing students to carry around proof of vaccination status, and mandating unreasonable testing requirements on teachers and staff.

In a new “scathing” report from the Legislative Finance Committee (FLC), scandal-ridden Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s Department of Health “failed to ensure proper infection control” at the New Mexico State Veterans Home in Truth or Consequences.

The Albuquerque Journal reports that state Sen. Nancy Rodriguez (D-Santa Fe) told them “[t]he facility, she said, houses four disabled veterans to a room.” The facility had 28 people die from COVID-19. 

But Lujan Grisham’s cabinet secretary for Human Services (and now the Department of Health) Dr. David Scrase defended the department.

“He told lawmakers that even the most well-funded private nursing homes in New Mexico faced difficulty limiting the spread of COVID-19 during the pandemic. The veterans home, Scrase said, was particularly challenging, given the layout of the building, with four people to a room,” reports the Journal.

“What happened at the veterans home,” he said, “is about the same as what happened throughout the entire state and, in my opinion, based on design issues, could have been much worse.”

But state analysts don’t agree with Scrace’s attempt to downplay responsibility. The 28 deaths at the facility equaled 19% of the facility’s 145-bed capacity, a percentage higher than the state average, according to an LFC analyst.

The LFC report says the veterans home’s coronavirus deaths ​​“were exacerbated by inadequate oversight,” with other practices such as staffers not changing personal protective equipment between visiting patients, among other issues. 

State Rep. Patricia Lundstrom (D-Gallup) who chairs the LFC, urged the Lujan Grisham administration to use federal stimulus funds to build a new Truth or Consequences facility for these veterans. 

“With this high-risk population, we need to do something, and we need to do it sooner than later,” said Lundstrom. 

In December, Lujan Grisham announced New Mexico hospitals were on the brink of “rationing care” while last April, Lujan Grisham’s administration evicted scores of nursing home patients, some even in their 90s and one aged 102. 

Following the news, Republican Governor’s Association spokesman Will Reinert said, “Instead of working to take care the disabled men and women who fought to keep our country free as COVID-19 ravaged their living quarters, Governor Lujan Grisham dined on taxpayer-funded wagyu beef.” He added, “If Grisham won’t even work to protect New Mexico’s veterans, don’t expect her to fight for families struggling to put food on the table or to clean up Albuquerque’s crime-ridden streets.”

MLG forced NM taxpayers to fork over $1.5 million to advertise during space launch

KOB 4 reported this week that New Mexico taxpayers were forced to fork over $1.5 million of their hard-earned tax dollars to advertise during millionaire Jeffrey Epstein-tied Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic space launch. 

According to Cody Johnson, a spokesman for alleged serial groper Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s New Mexico Tourism Department, Cody Johnson, the “state paid a lot to have the logo on screen during the flight’s broadcast.” 

“That included in total a $1.5 million investment, which includes a $500,000 special appropriation provided by the state legislature for the efforts to market and promote New Mexico during that inaugural flight,” he said.

“The rest came from the tourism department’s budget, a $1.5 million investment that the state expects to pay off,” KOB reported.

The Tourism Department’s “New Mexico True” brand showed on the advertisement, which Johnson alleges had 7.5 million viewers on YouTube alone.

Time will tell if the “investment” by Lujan Grisham’s Tourism Department will pay off, however, the Governor has had not much trouble in terms of her shady finances before, spending millions of dollars in state funds not appropriated by the Legislature during the pandemic, as well as her lavish contingency fund spending, among other things.

After GOP district judge leaves for Texas, MLG has opportunity to put left-winger on bench

A local district judge, Matt Chandler, 45, with a legal career prosecuting and on the bench spanning over 20 years, says he’s retiring to Texas for “a new career in the law,” according to The Eastern New Mexico News. 

Chandler, “joined the District Attorney’s office in 2002. He was elected DA in 2004, held the job 10 years, then was appointed to the bench in 2015,” the outlet reported. The partisan Democrat-controlled New Mexico Senate previously rejected his nomination to be a regent of the University of New Mexico in 2015.

“Serving the state of New Mexico … has been a dream come true,” Chandler said. “It truly has been an absolute honor and privilege.”

Chandler told the News that has accepted a job in Lubbock for a corporation that provides legal representation for all 50 states. “My primary focus will be New Mexico and West Texas,” he said.

The jurist unsuccessfully ran for attorney general against then-incumbent Gary King in 2010 and was subsequently appointed to the bench in 2015 by former Republican Gov. Susana Martinez. 

The News reports that “Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham will select Chandler’s successor.”

This will give the Governor an opportunity to appoint a far-left activist judge to a conservative area of the state’s judicial seats. 

The process to fill the seat reportedly begins Aug. 25 when a Judicial Nominating Commission is slated to meet at 9 a.m. at the Curry County Courthouse to evaluate applicants. The deadline to apply is August 6.
