Leftists holding Sunday RBG-themed rally in ABQ—will MLG scold them for violating her health order?

On Sunday evening, a handful of radical far-left organizations, such as ProgressNow NM, OLÉ, Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, and others will hold a rally honoring late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who died on Friday night, and a “Call to Action” to support “progressive” candidates and causes.

According to the event, which will be held at 6:00 p.m. MDT at Tiguex Park, “there’s still more to do. Now, it’s up to us to continue the fight. Before we even had a chance to mourn her loss the Senate has committed to appointing a new conservative justice. As in 2018 when we felt the outrage and fear of Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination, our rights are once again on the line. Rights for reproductive health and justice, LGBTQ+, equal pay, criminal justice reform, immigration, public education, environmental protections, worker’s rights and so much more.”

The band of pro-abortion, pro-illegal immigration and other fringe groups say in their invite tp “Please bring your mask and practice social distancing,” however over 1,000 people have responded to the Facebook event, meaning it is unlikely they will be able to abide by the Governor’s public health order barring gatherings of ten people or less.

Last week, Democrat Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s Health Department sent a targeted letter to the Republican Party of New Mexico for holding a “Women for Trump” bus tour, where the Department contends it violated the health order due to more than ten people congregating and allegedly not enough people wearing masks or “social distancing.”

Although the leftist event will have more than ten attendees, it is unknown whether the left-wing Governor will reprimand the Democrat-aligned groups as they attempt to fire up their supporters using the death of Bader Ginsburg as their “call to action.” As of 11:45 a.m. MDT, 208 people had RSVP’d as “going” to the event while 829 were “interested.”

MLG’s Health Department singles out NM GOP for non-compliance with her public health order

On Wednesday, the Republican Party of New Mexico posted a letter received from New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan  Grisham’s Department of Health claiming that the Party was not adhering to the Governor’s public health guidelines, not pointing to a particular instance of compliance, just speaking in generalities.

The letter, which was sent by General Counsel and Acting Deputy Secretary Billy J. Jimenez reads, “It has come to our attention these requirements have not been adhered to by parties and candidates. Non-compliance with the operative Public Health Order and related directives will result in enforcement actions including fines or citations.”

The Republican Party blasted the letter, citing leftist demonstrations, including one in front of the Trump Victory Campaign Office, where the Party claims participants were not social distancing or wearing maks.

The Republican Party’s statement is below:

Below is a letter sent to the Republican Party of New Mexico from the Lujan Grisham Administration that is both wrong and insulting. While RPNM believes peoples’ health and safety are paramount, to warn RPNM about compliance with the Public Health Order is a clear violation of equal treatment under the law. There have been a number of demonstrations and mass gatherings—most recently a BLM event outside a Trump Victory Campaign Office in Rio Rancho this past weekend that clearly show people not wearing masks or social distancing.

Mass gatherings in Albuquerque that led to destruction of public and private property have been tolerated where people aren’t complying, and the Governor, herself, broke her own Order by wrongfully and deliberately shopping for jewelry when it wasn’t allowed. To single out RPNM is wrong by the Lujan Grisham Administration. Again, the Governor picks and chooses selected groups—with obvious political implications—that continue to violate the Constitution’s principle of equal protection.

The Governor has used her official authority in multiple cases to “pick and choose” enforcement of her public health orders, including the Lea County Sherriff’s Office, multiple restaurants across the state, the people of Española, and others.

Despite the Governor’s previous “apology” to Españolans for singling them out for supposed non-complicance, her press secretary Nora Sackett blasted the city’s mayor as “self-righteous,” effectively wiping out any believability in the Governor’s apology.

After MLG ‘apologizes’ for demeaning Españolans, her press secretary hits mayor as ‘self-righteous’

A little over two weeks since Gov. Michelle Luján Grisham issued an “apology” to the citizens of Española for scolding them over their mask-wearing habits, now her press secretary, Nora Sackett, is getting her back in the line of fire.

Grisham’s criticism of Española, as Piñon Post first reported on, went as follows:

“Last week, I traveled to Northern New Mexico, and in traveling to Northern New Mexico, I went through Española. I saw a lot of activity in Española and traveling through Main Street going North. I didn’t see a single mask, not one. Not in a parking lot, not in a grocery store that we passed, not at a convenience store, not at a gas station, not by someone in a car, not hanging on a rearview mirror, not on a wrist, not as people were walking, nowhere! Not one. The only masks I saw were in the car I was in, and we have to do better than that because if we don’t, we cannot successfully introduce risk.”

The Governor’s apology, which some have noted as back-handed, read, “My comments were taken as a lack of respect for Española and the work the community has done to fight this virus. I apologize for making that impression. That was not my intent, and I take responsibility for the way my words were conveyed and heard.”

“It is true that I did not see any masks that day on my way through town north and south, but that doesn’t mean I should have made the point that I did in the way I did it. If my intent was to highlight where we can improve and what we can do better, and it was, then I could have communicated that in a different way, and I should have,” she continued.

But on Monday, Gov. Lujan Grisham’s press secretary Nora Sackett took to Twitter to blast the Española mayor and him not wearing a mask while taking a photo at an event. She wrote, “Every media outlet that covered the mayor of Española’s self-righteous op ed will now also cover his flagrant hypocrisy and violation of the public health order, right?”

The condescending comment toward Española Mayor Javier Sanchez, who called out the Governor, which prompted her apology, may reflect the true feelings the Lujan Grisham administration has for Española’s mayor and thus the people of Española.

Even people claiming to be the Governor’s staunchest defenders took offense to Sackett’s comment, one writing, “I’m behind our gov 100% but you totally come off as aggressive and unnecessarily antagonistic. Read the room. Stick with policy.”

It is unclear if the Governor’s office will issue yet another apology for the clear disrespect for Española mayor, but the comments do appear to reflect the opposite of what the previous “apology” was supposed to mend.

Why did MLG ‘apologize’ for belittling Española but she refuses to stop ridiculing Hobbs?

On Friday, after the Mayor of heavily Democrat Española, Javier Sanchez, sent a scathing letter to Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham for making an example of the city for allegedly not wearing masks, Lujan Grisham released a half-hearted “apology.” But the attempt at reconciliation begs the question of why she isn’t apologizing to other communities she has belittled, such as Hobbs.

As Piñon Post first reported on, Lujan Grisham said during her presser, “Last week, I traveled to Northern New Mexico, and in traveling to Northern New Mexico, I went through Española.

Mayor Sanchez rebuked the Governor’s comments, writing in a letter, “Are we truly to believe that the governor slowed down enough to see into our dark tinted windows to find no masks hanging from rear view mirrors? At this rate of condescension, I would be very surprised if the governor’s vehicle even slowed down to a rolling stop at the red lights. How empty those words sound coming from behind the windows of an air-conditioned vehicle while peering in at us like we are children who haven’t cleaned our rooms.”

“My comments were taken as a lack of respect for Española and the work the community has done to fight this virus. I apologize for making that impression. That was not my intent, and I take responsibility for the way my words were conveyed and heard,” wrote Lujan Grisham.

“It is true that I did not see any masks that day on my way through town north and south, but that doesn’t mean I should have made the point that I did in the way I did it. If my intent was to highlight where we can improve and what we can do better, and it was, then I could have communicated that in a different way, and I should have,” she continued.

However, the Governor has refused to apologize for mercilessly ridiculing a restaurant in Hobbs, New Mexico, scolding them for allegedly not wearing masks. The snitch photo she presents looks to demean and criticize the small business that she claims were defying her health orders. But she praised Taos County for wearing masks, a county she won in 2018 with 81.5% of the vote.

But why did she hand-select Espanñola to send her apologies, while other rural communities still suffer from the ramifications of her shaming? The answer is simple: politics.

In 2018, Lujan Grisham won Rio Arriba County, where Española is, by a margin of 73% to 27%, or 46%. The county is also 84% Hispanic/Latino, and the criticism of the county may be seen as possibly racially-charged.

Hobbs, however, which is located in Lea County, is a Republican area, where she lost the county by massive numbers, losing by 55% in the county, or 22.2% to 77.8%. She has also gone after the Lea County Sheriff, having her Attorney General, Hector Balderas file a lawsuit against the department for visiting a local restaurant and eating indoors, a violation of her strict anti-indoor dining mandate. Lujan Grisham’s recent actions show yet again that she is ready and willing to pick on the entire state, while only apologizing for offense when the area she’s berating is heavily Democrat.

Gov. Lujan Grisham mask shames Española residents: ‘I didn’t see a single mask, not one’

On Thursday, Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham held a COVID-19 press conference where she announced a few new steps to reopening, such as museums being able to function at 25% capacity, restaurants with indoor dining at 25% indoors and 75% outdoors, among a handful of other lesser restrictions.

While she was talking about how New Mexicans need to keep with her strict policies, she made sure to make an example of Española in Northern New Mexico, mask shaming residents for not wearing face coverings, according to her observations from her chauffeured car.

Her recent criticism of New Mexicans certainly is not a new development, as she previously berated folks for traveling out of state, making examples of restauranteurs in Hobbs who allegedly were not following her indoor dining ban.

Report: If elected, Biden would likely tap Heinrich for Dept. of the Interior, MLG for Dept. of Energy

On Wednesday, pro-energy group Power the Future released a comprehensive report on former vice president and Democrat nominee for president Joe Biden’s energy policies, which reveal his long history of anti-oil and gas rhetoric, as well as his possible Cabinet secretaries, if elected.

“Biden has proudly embraced ‘net zero-ism.’ ‘Net-zero,’ of course, is the greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) goal that green activists demand all climate policy must aim for to be considered legitimate,” the report reveals. However, “the goal is impossible to meet. But for greens that’s irrelevant.”

Biden has already expressed support for the “Green New Deal,” a far-left socialist proposal brought forth by the farthest left “climate change” activists around, notable New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who once claimed, “the world is going to end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change.”

“No more drilling on federal lands,” Biden pledged. “No ability for the oil industry to continue to drill. Period. Ends.” The total ban on all drilling is a radical proposal, especially since 40% of New Mexico’s state revenue comes from the oil and gas sector, which provides billions in critical funds to keep New Mexico running, specifically in terms of funding public education. In Biden’s America, New Mexico would have to scrape at the bottom of the barrel some way, somehow, to fund schools for our children to receive an education. Biden also claimed, “I’ve never been middle of the road on the environment.”

But even more startling in Power the Future’s report were revelations of who Biden may tap for key Cabinet positions, such as Secretary of the Interior and Secretary of Energy, New Mexico politicians, including Sen. Martin Heinrich (who permanently lives in Maryland), and Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, who signed a law referred to as New Mexico’s mini “Green New Deal,” are being considered.

The report says, “Sen. Heinrich’s record representing the state of New Mexico shows a politician who cares more about earning goodwill with liberal leaders like Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) in Washington, DC then doing what’s right economically for the constituents he represents in an energy-producing state. Usually, when a politician stops looking out for their own constituents’ best interests, it means they have another job they want in life. That makes Sen. Heinrich the front-runner for Interior right now.”

Lujan Grisham is mentioned as a possible pick for Secretary of Energy, “along with former HUD Secretary Julian Castro (D-TX) and Gov. Jay Inslee (D-WA).” Lujan Grisham’s Green New Deal would force through a net-zero carbon mandate by 2045, completely decimating the oil and gas industry by that date.

“Judging by the fact they’ve embraced radical environmentalism at the expense of New Mexicans, there’s no doubt Governor Lujan Grisham and Senator Heinrich would jump at the chance to be in a possible Biden administration,” says Larry Behrens of Power the Future. “The energy policies they’ve forced upon us will continue to have terrible consequences for our families and that’s why they’re hoping for a soft landing in Washington because it means they won’t have to live with the results in New Mexico.”

In conclusion, the report plainly states, “This is what the public should expect from a Biden presidency. On energy and environmental policy (and very likely so much else), Biden is fully simpatico with the most extremist elements of the Democratic party and the green movement. The effect will cripple America’s shale revolution and immiserate consumers, especially the poor.”

MLG hails Haaland as ‘an inspiration’ for her ‘social, racial, and environmental justice’ DNC speech

On Thursday, Rep. Deb Haaland (D-NM) addressed the Democrat National Convention and spoke about how she was one of the first Native American women elected to Congress and her focus on far-left social ideals.

Haaland said, “I’m grateful to be with you here on Indigenous land” in her opening,” going on to explain more about her ancestry, claiming she has been in New Mexico for 35 generations, which has yet to be confirmed.

“Whether we vote and how we vote will determine if our nation’s promise of social, racial, and environmental justice will outlast us. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris respect our past and understand our present. They will see us through this crisis of leadership that is plaguing our country and they will help us to build a better future,” Haaland concluded in ehr remarks.

Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham wrote in response to her address, “You are an inspiration to us all, @Deb4CongressNM. I feel so fortunate to call you a friend, a colleague, and a fellow New Mexican. Thank you for everything you do for our state and our country.”

“Deeply proud to watch [Deb Haaland] tonight. Thank you for speaking to promise of our country and the strength of our people. It’s an honor to call you my friend, wrote Ben Ray Luján.

Haaland has not passed a bill during her time, and votes against her party only 1.1% of the time. She once called the domestic terrorist group, Antifa’s violent rioters  “peaceful protesters.”

MLG touts NM’s Green New Deal in DNC speech, bashes Trump as ‘existential crisis’

On Wednesday night, Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham briefly addressed the Democrat National Convention. She surprisingly spoke about her massive “climate change” proposals, alluding to her work to pass New Mexico’s “mini” Green New Deal, also known as the “Energy Transition Act.” She stood in front of an Albuquerque-area solar array to give her remarks.

Her speech is below:

“I am proud that New Mexico has shown what climate leadership looks like.  While the Trump Administration has been eliminating environmental protections, we expanded them. While they’ve been rolling back regulations on oil and gas, we’ve taken on polluters and held them accountable. We’ve committed to a renewable energy future with exciting and fulfilling careers for workers all across our beautiful state, including right here in the heart of Northern New Mexico. We’re laying a roadmap here for what America can and would look like in the 21st century — an America where we lead again, where we build safer, cleaner, and more affordable cities and communities, where we provide meaningful opportunities for workers and families to thrive and build better lives.

As president, Joe Biden will rejoin the international climate agreement, and the United States will once again lead on this critical issue. At home, he’ll invest in energy workers, and he will deliver for working families across the U.S., helping them build meaningful careers while accelerating our nation and world into a clean, green 21st Century and beyond.

“We know time is running out to save our planet. We have the chance this November to end two existential crises: the Trump presidency and the environmental annihilation he represents. We have the chance this November to attack the climate crisis, invest in green, 21st Century jobs, and embrace the clean energy revolution our country, our young people are crying out for, and the leadership the rest of the world is waiting for. The choice is clear. The choice is Joe Biden.”

Lujan Grisham was also featured in a pro-abortion montage shortly afterward, as well as Rep, Deb Haaland

Rep. Ben Ray Luján, who has claimed Lujan Grisham is not his cousin, tweeted her remarks, writing, “[Michelle Lujan Grisham] has led New Mexico with conviction and set a national example for strong leadership in the face of #COVID19. If you didn’t catch her live at the #DemConvention, check out the recap to watch her make New Mexico proud.”

Afer the speech, Larry Behrens of Power the Future sent out the following statement:

“Governor Lujan Grisham’s feeble defense of the green agenda tonight is made even more insincere as millions of Americans are dealing with blackouts after renewable promises failed our working families.

The Biden/Harris energy plan calls for a ban on fracking which will destroy over 100,000 jobs in New Mexico and cost our state billions. Governor Lujan Grisham knows their plan will upend New Mexico’s economy, but clearly her primetime audition takes priority over our families.”

It was previously speculated that if Biden is elected, Lujan Grisham would be considered for Health and Human Services secretary, however, her anti-Trump climate speech on the national stage makes it clear she is more interested in a role at possibly the Environmental Protection Agency or possibly the Department of Energy.

MLG refuses to reopen NM despite state meeting benchmarks

On Tuesday, it was reported that New Mexico had finally hit Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s gating criteria to reopen New Mexico. The criteria require there to be an average of 168 new COVID-19 cases in a seven-day period, which the state has met, hitting 155.

However, despite KOAT 7 crunching the numbers, the State told them “they are using a different number that is based on the date the actual test was taken, and they could not provide the number.”

Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s office responded, “We have reached this stage only because of the incredible hard work New Mexicans have undertaken in adhering to the state’s public health guidelines and making the right individual and collective decisions. The gating criteria are not a ‘finish line,’ so to speak, implying that once we reach the gating criteria, we are in the clear.”

The move by the Governor to dismiss New Mexico hitting the benchmark, while the state refusing to say what numbers they are measuring, shows a lack of transparency and obstruction of critical information New Mexicans deserve to know regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.

If the Governor, as she has so often claims, is relying on data and science, then there should be no problem letting the public know what those metrics that she’s measuring are.

Lujan Grisham is set to address the Democrat National Convention tonight, and she is expected to address, at least in part, her “leadership” during the coronavirus pandemic, which has left countless businesses closed and working families devastated.

Former VP contender MLG throws support for Biden/Harris ticket

On Tuesday, former Vice President Joe Biden announced his selection of California U.S. Senator Kamala Harris to be his running mate.

New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham sent out a message of support for the team, writing on Twitter, “It’s time to rebuild our country better than ever before. It’s time to take back the White House. It’s time to elect [Joe Biden] & [Kamala Harris]. Join us”

Harris wrote on Twitter previously, “[Joe Biden] can unify the American people because he’s spent his life fighting for us. And as president, he’ll build an America that lives up to our ideals.

I’m honored to join him as our party’s nominee for Vice President, and do what it takes to make him our Commander-in-Chief.”

The Trump campaign responded to the news by tweeting a video blasting the decision in a new video.

Harris previously blasted Biden for his record on race, his alleged sexual assults on women, and his policies not being progressive enough for the California politician. Now, Harris will bring her suppor for Medicare for All, trillions more in taxes, abortion up-to-birth, and countless other proposals to the forefront in the race for the presidency.
