Extremist anti-gun group endorses Gabe Vasquez

On Tuesday, socialist Rep. Gabe Vasquez took to X, formerly Twitter, to announce he has been endorsed by the fringe anti-gun group, Giffords, run by Democrat ex-Congresswoman Gabby Giffords of Arizona.

Vasquez wrote, “Thank you [Giffords] for the endorsement!”

Ex-Rep. Giffords wrote, “With so much on the line, I’m proud to endorse Representative Gabe Vasquez, who’s committed to passing commonsense gun safety legislation.”

The far-left New Mexico Democrat added on his X post, “In Congress, I will continue to champion gun safety and provide the perspective of a hunter and gun owner. We can, and we must do more to keep our families safe.”

Vasquez backs extreme gun bans that infringe on New Mexicans’ Second Amendment rights. He obviously doesn’t understand that the Constitution’s provisions granting the right to bear arms were not written for the intention of “hunting” but rather upon the discretion of the nation’s citizens, which is why it writes, “… shall not be infringed.”

When asked in a forum about guns the first time he ran for Congress, Vasquez said, as reported by the Las Cruces Sun-News, “I think that I personally have to learn a lot more about different styles of firearms that can be used both for self-defense and for hunting purposes,” admitting he does not know enough about guns even to warrant having an opinion on the matter.

He added at the time, “I know for sure that an AR-15 is not a weapon that you should use for hunting, for example. But I want to be somebody that comes to the table and talks about these in a way that reflects both the values, the culture of New Mexicans, and at the same time keeps our kids safe.”

Vasquez faces a tough race in November against Republican former Congresswoman Yvette Herrell, who is leading in the polls in the Second Congressional District.

Gabe Vasquez doubles down on shameless lie about Yvette Herrell

In another act of desperation, far-left Democrat U.S. Rep. Gabe Vasquez once again attacked Republican former Congresswoman Yvette Herrell, who is running to reclaim the seat she previously held. Vasquez is doubling down in a blatant lie about Herrell’s views on in vitro fertilization (IVF).

Vasquez wrote in the melodramatic X post last week, “Extremist Yvette Herrell is in lockstep with Alabama’s Supreme Court. Republicans are taking away women’s reproductive healthcare rights & now they’re taking away the opportunity for loving couples to start a family. This is shameful & Herrell’s voting record is clear. Enough.”

Then in a recent fundraising email ironically titled “Hypocrites,” Vasquez’s team lied again, writing, “The Alabama Supreme Court just ruled on restricting access to in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment. Gabe’s extremist opponent, Yvette Herrell, has a voting record that proves she would support measures just like this one and MORE at the national level.”

“MAGA Republicans know they’re completely out of touch with the American people. Not only did they push policy to ban IVF treatments, but they voted against policy that would’ve protected it. Now, national Republicans are scrambling to get their candidates to flip-flop,” he wrote — another total lie.

However, Congresswoman Herrell is not against IVF. National Republican Congressional Committee spokeswoman Delanie Bomar posted that “this is a blatant lie,” sharing an article from Axios that noted the former congresswoman’s position.

“Former Reps. Mayra Flores (R-Texas) and Yvette Herrell (R-N.M.), who are running for their old seats, said in statements to Axios that they support access to IVF,” read the article.

But despite the truth, which is so easily fact-checkable, Vasquez’s team continues to spew vicious and blatant lies. Vasquez is a supporter of abortion up-to-birth without exceptions — a true “extremist” and “radical” position for anyone, much less Vasquez, who is desperate to claim to be an “independent leader.”

Even more hilariously, Vasquez’s team wrote, “Just like her MAGA Republican counterparts, Yvette continues to parrot the national Republican playbook rather than actually campaigning on the priorities of the New Mexicans she’s supposedly running to represent. And Republicans continue to shamelessly try (and fail!) to reverse their extremist agenda.”

In reality, Vasquez is clinging to the latest national Democrat talking points to attack Herrell in an attempt to hold onto his seat that he narrowly won in 2022 by the slimmest of margins. Herrell, a former state lawmaker and former U.S. House sub-committee chairwoman, is giving Vasquez a run for his money in one of the most hotly contested races of the 2024 election cycle.

Gabe Vasquez spews ‘blatant lie’ about GOP opponent over recent court ruling

A recent ruling by the Alabama Supreme Court decision has virtually halted in vitro fertilization (IVF) in the state.

Far-left Democrat Rep. Gabe Vasquez of New Mexico’s Second District used the news of the ruling to attack his GOP opponent, former Congresswoman Yvette Herrell, claiming she is “an extremist.” Herrell is the GOP nominee for the seat.

“Extremist Yvette Herrell is in lockstep with Alabama’s Supreme Court. Republicans are taking away women’s reproductive healthcare rights & now they’re taking away the opportunity for loving couples to start a family. This is shameful & Herrell’s voting record is clear. Enough,” he wrote in the melodramatic X post.

Many Republicans are joining in to support IVF. On Friday, the 45th President expressed his endorsement for the continuation of in vitro fertilization treatments amid the contentious legal discourse in Alabama, where a recent court decision has classified frozen embryos as persons. In a statement on Truth Social, President Donald Trump emphasized his commitment to fostering robust, flourishing American families, stating, “Under my leadership, the Republican Party will always support the creation of strong, thriving, healthy American families. We want to make it easier for mothers and fathers to have babies, not harder! That includes supporting the availability of fertility treatments like IVF in every State in America.”

Trump further aligned himself with the general consensus in the country, advocating for the accessibility of IVF for couples striving to conceive. “Like the OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of Americans, including the VAST MAJORITY of Republicans, Conservatives, Christians, and Pro-Life Americans, I strongly support the availability of IVF for couples who are trying to have a precious baby,” he remarked.

In light of the judicial decision in Alabama, which led to several providers’ temporary halt in IVF services, Trump urged the state’s lawmakers to devise a solution to safeguard IVF services promptly.

Vasquez’s shocking allegiance to extremist open borders groups revealed

GreenLatinos, a radical environmental and “social justice” organization, is currently calling on Joe Biden to reject stricter border security measures being considered in Congress. The move has sparked controversy, shedding light on the debate over immigration and border security policies within the Democrat Party.

At the forefront of this call is Gabe Vasquez, the founder of the Nuestra Tierra Conservation Project, an environmental advocacy group. Nuestra Tierra lists GreenLatinos as a community partner, emphasizing their collaboration to address issues. In September, Nuestra Tierra took to Instagram to highlight their partnership with GreenLatinos and the Office of New Mexico’s U.S. Rep. Gabe Vasquez.

Jessica Loya, the Policy Director at GreenLatinos, has also been linked to Vasquez through political contributions. Loya donated $350 in 2022 and $275 in 2023 to Gabe Vasquez for Congress, further solidifying the ties between the two entities.

However, Vasquez’s stance on border security has drawn significant attention. Before entering Congress, Vasquez characterized the border crisis as a “non-existent threat” and criticized previous border security efforts as “ill-informed” and “in bad taste.”

He advocated for the elimination of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency, alleging a lack of humanity in its operations. Since taking office, Vasquez has consistently voted against measures aimed at bolstering border security, including hiring more Border Patrol agents, deploying advanced technology to the southern border, ending catch-and-release policies, and streamlining the asylum process.

Vasquez’s position on border security remains ambiguous as Congress engages in negotiations over proposed border security legislation. While Vasquez is a member of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, which has publicly opposed Joe Biden’s efforts to tighten border security, he has yet to express his stance on the matter.

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) has criticized Vasquez’s affiliations and statements, branding him as a “radical open border activist.” NRCC spokeswoman Delanie Bomar emphasized the company one keeps, stating, “The saying ‘Show me your friends, and I’ll tell you who you are’ rings truer than ever with Gabe Vasquez.”

In response to Vasquez’s recent claim that Republicans are politicizing the border issue due to the upcoming elections, CNN anchor John Berman pushed back, highlighting the genuine concerns surrounding the border situation.

The debate over border security intensifies as immigration remains a critical issue, with 302,000 illegal immigrants crossing the southern border in December alone, an issue that directly affects Vasquez’s district. Vasquez’s stance on border security and his association with GreenLatinos is now under increased scrutiny as the nation grapples with this complex and contentious issue.

Vasquez’s ties to pro-Palestinian extremists revealed

In a recent development that has sparked widespread debate, Democratic politician Gabe Vasquez has been linked to radical pro-Palestine groups, raising questions about his political alliances and beliefs. This connection surfaced following the discovery of Vasquez’s participation in a 2018 rally, where he was photographed speaking in front of a poster bearing the slogan, “From Palestine to Mexico, all walls gotta go.” This phrase has become a controversial rallying cry for various advocacy groups that are critical of immigration policies and Israel’s actions in Palestine.

The slogan has a history of association with extreme advocacy groups and has been notably used in protests against U.S. immigration policies and in demonstrations against Israel. It made appearances in 2017 during airport protests, at UC Santa Barbara, and was prominently chanted at a 2016 protest outside the AIPAC Policy Conference. The recent resurgence of the slogan, especially in light of the latest Palestine-Israel conflict, has been evident at events such as the disruption of Anthony Blinken’s Capitol Hill hearing, a march in Washington DC, and a Baltimore Harbor Christmas Village event.

The U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights (USCPR), known for its strong criticism of Israel, has been credited with popularizing this rallying cry. The USCPR has made several controversial statements, labeling Israel as an apartheid state and accusing it of genocide and occupation.

Other radical and antisemitic groups have also used the slogan. Code Pink, a Left-wing international advocacy group, has utilized similar phrasing in their discussions of the Gaza security fence and the Mexico border wall. United We Dream, a youth-led organization, has echoed the sentiment on social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter.

Amid these revelations, questions arise regarding Vasquez’s stance. Does he align with these radical groups and their advocacy against securing the southern border?

National Republican Congressional Committee Spokeswoman Delanie Bomar commented on the matter, saying, “Whether it’s supporting open borders, defunding law enforcement, or rallying behind antisemitic causes, there’s always a new radical low for Gabe Vasquez. His extremism is out of control, and he’s massively out of step with hardworking, commonsense New Mexicans.”

This controversy emerged just days after Vasquez downplayed the significance of border issues, prompting CNN anchor John Berman to challenge his perspective. In addition, Vasquez’s call for a ceasefire in the Palestine-Israel conflict aligns him with other groups labeled as extreme. His previous statements regarding the southern border crisis and efforts to secure the border have been contentious.

With a recent influx of 302,000 illegal immigrants crossing the southern border in December, which directly affects Vasquez’s district, these connections and his past remarks have become a focal point of concern and discussion.

NM’s conspiracy theorist Dems renew annual performative January 6 theater

On Saturday — the third anniversary of the January 6 incursion of the U.S. Capitol — New Mexico’s Democrat conspiracy theorists outdid themselves with manufactured outrage after the event, which resulted in the death of Ashli Babbitt, whom a Capitol Police Officer brutally murdered.

Democrat Rep. Teresa Leger Fernandez (NM-CD-3) inaccurately claimed an “armed mob” stormed the Capitol, which was not true, as a vast majority of protesters that day were not armed whatsoever.

“On this day three years ago — just my fourth day in Congress — an armed mob of Donald Trump’s supporters desecrated our beloved Capitol Building in a deadly attack on Congress and American democracy itself,” Leger Fernandez wrote, adding, “Trump will undoubtedly try to attack our democracy again.”

Far-left Democrat Rep. Gabe Vasquez (NM-CD-2) wrote in an email, “John, today marks the 3-year anniversary of a dark day in American history. On January 6, 2021, extremists launched an egregious attack on Capitol Hill and our democracy.”

Extreme far-leftist Melanie Stansbury, representative for New Mexico’s First District, wrote on X, “Three years ago we watched Trump spark an insurrection. We saw our capital attacked by extremists and we saw our very Democracy shaken. Today is a reminder that our voice and our vote matter and in 2024 we must defeat Trump.”

Socialist Sen. Martin Heinrich appeared to say January 6 was worse than horrific terrorist attacks, such as September 11, 2001, writing, “Three years ago, I witnessed the most foundationally shaking moment of my adult life. It is a sobering reminder that even our great democracy is vulnerable to those willing to hold on to power at all costs. That day, democracy prevailed. We must work to make sure it always does.”

“Our Democracy isn’t given. We have to work to protect it. Three years ago this was proven. We all have the sacred responsibility of honoring the outcome of our elections. Those who do not must be held accountable,” wrote Sen. Ben Ray Luján.

The New Mexico Democrat Party added, “Even three years after the January 6th, 2021, attack on the US Capitol, NM Republicans are still beholden to insurrectionist MAGA ideology. Despite being largely rejected by the voters ever since the insurrection, New Mexico Republicans and their prominent figureheads refuse to respect our democracy.”

The Party continued, “New Mexican voters spoke loud and clear in the 2022 election and rejected Trump’s radical brand of extremism. But the New Mexico Republican Party continues to put Trump’s MAGA agenda ahead of the needs of everyday New Mexicans.”

Unconstitutional Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham wrote, “As we celebrate the 112th anniversary of statehood, we are also reminded of the duty we all have in upholding democracy. The acts of insurrection on Jan. 6 have no place in the United States. As governor, I commit to safeguarding democracy today and for generations to come,” despite unilaterally taking away New Mexicans’ gun rights via executive order — the opposite of “democracy.”

Note: Not a single individual has been convicted for the charge of “insurrection,” while Democrats attempt to pursue “insurrection” charges to forcibly thwart President Trump from the ballot in 2024. The U.S. Supreme Court will soon hear the case on the matter.

Vulnerable Vasquez calls in far-left Gov. MLG for last-ditch 2023 fundraising plea

On Saturday, far-left U.S. Rep. Gabe Vasquez, who faces tough reelection odds next November, called in far-left Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham to help him rake in last-minute cash ahead of the New Year by appealing to the fringe progressive base.

“Right-wing extremism and petty politics are on the rise, yet Gabe is committed to working across the aisle to vote for common-sense legislation that moves our state/country forward,” wrote Lujan Grisham in a fundraising email, despite Vasquez siding with the far-left on basically everything, including instituting a new land grab in Deming and refusing to vote to help reduce inflation under the Joe Biden regime.

She continued, “Fighting for this amazing state means fighting for progress,” adding, “While his far-right opponent is reliant on extremists like Donald Trump, Mike Johnson, and Kevin McCarthy, we know your support will take him past the finish line and into another term of building progress for New Mexico and America.”

It is unclear why the governor is name-dropping McCarthy, who just quit Congress, but it appears to be a way to fluff up the fringe progressive base in the attempt to drum up cash ahead of 2024. Former Congresswoman Yvette Herrell is running again with the support of all the U.S. House GOP leadership.

Lujan Grisham is woefully unpopular, topping the rankings as one of the least popular governors in America. Those numbers surely worsened when she unilaterally attempted to snatch Bernalillo County and Albuquerque residents’ gun rights via executive order, which a Democrat-appointed judge slapped down.

Now, Vasquez heavily relying on the far-left governor to help him rake in some last-ditch donations appears to be a move toward the unconstitutional governor and her extreme positions on anything from abortion to energy policy.

National group hits Vasquez in new ads running over Christmas

Far-left Democrat U.S. Rep. Gabe Vasquez is facing a fresh wave of criticism over his failure to help clamp down on inflation and rubber stamping the Joe Biden “Bidenomics” agenda that has resulted in over 17 percent inflation and an increase in costs for everyday New Mexicans.

A new ad from the National Republican Congressional Committee appears to liken Vasquez to the Grinch, with the words “Bidenomics Ruined Christmas” next to a photo of the representative pictured in a Santa hat.

It further reads, “Tell Gabe Vasques to stop supporting reckless government spending fueling inflation.”

The digital ad will run throughout the New Year to New Mexicans in the Second Congressional District.

In 2024, the Democrat faces tough competition from Republican former Congresswoman Yvette Herrell, who served from 2021 to 2023.

Herrell has all GOP U.S. House leadership endorsements, including Speaker Mike Johnson of Louisiana, and many high-profile congressional representatives, including Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan of Ohio and Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer of Kentucky.

Gabe Vasquez initiates land grab in southern NM: Report

In an unexpected turn of events, a coalition led by Far-left Democrat U.S. Rep. Gabe Vasquez and State Sen. Carrie Hamblen has revealed their intention to establish a colossal national monument spanning 245,000 acres via a new website, per the Rio Grande Foundation

The proposed monument is set to encompass the Florida Mountains in proximity to Deming, the Cooke’s Range, and Good Sight Mountains to the north of the city, as well as the Tres Hermanas (Three Sisters) peaks near the village of Columbus.

National monuments, known for their stringent land designations, have historically been utilized by presidents to make impactful decisions, often without the need for congressional approval. A precedent for such executive action was set by President Obama in 2014 with the establishment of the Organ Peaks Monument.

John Fowler, Wiki Commons.

Given the prevailing political landscape, where the Joe Biden regime has demonstrated a notable leftward shift compared to its predecessor, speculation arises about potential actions in the concluding phase of Biden’s term.

While it aligns with the character of some presidents to enact significant policy changes as they near the end of their tenure, only time will unveil the course of action. In the interim, the onus falls upon concerned citizens of New Mexico to assert their stance and resist unwarranted interventions.

In pursuit of this objective, the Rio Grande Foundation has arranged a luncheon featuring Gabriela Hoffman, a nationally recognized expert in land and environmental matters. This gathering aims to provide a platform for informed discussions and strategies to address the proposed national monument and related concerns.

Vasquez faces a fierce reelection effort next year against Republican former U.S. Rep. Yvette Herrell, who has the support of the entire GOP U.S. House leadership.

Speaker Mike Johnson endorses Yvette Herrell

On Friday, U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) endorsed former Congresswoman Yvette Herrell for her rematch against Gabe Vasquez, who narrowly won the Second Congressional District seat in 2022 following Democrats’ heavy gerrymandering of the district.

“Yvette Herrell is a dependable conservative leader who represented New Mexico’s 2nd District with diligence and integrity, and I am proud to endorse her today. Serving with Yvette, I saw firsthand how dedicated she is to the people of her district, and I know she will always stand firm for limited government and the protection of our Constitutional rights,” wrote Johnson.

“Yvette is the right choice to return this seat to Republican hands as we work to grow our House majority and get America back on track,” the Speaker continued.

Herrell wrote following the announcement, “I’m proud to announce that Speaker Mike Johnson has officially endorsed our campaign New Mexico’s 2nd District!”

“I am fortunate to have had the privilege of previously serving with Speaker Mike Johnson in Congress, and I know we are in good hands under his leadership. I’m so grateful for his support in our fight to restore conservative leadership in New Mexico and ensure we have leaders in Congress who will work to put America First,” she concluded.

The announcement formalized the entire U.S. House majority leadership endorsing Herrell for her comeback to Congress. Vasquez continues to struggle with his reelection chances, as he voted against lower costs for consumers and refused to vote to condemn antisemitism, among many other actions not in line with the Second Congressional District.
