The Vatican defrocks pro-life priest while letting heretical leftist priests remain

According to a correspondence from The Vatican, pro-life Priests for Life founder Father Frank Pavone, 63, was defrocked by Pope Francis’ Vatican, claiming Pavone posted “blasphemous communications on social media” while citing his “persistent disobedience of the lawful instructions of his diocesan bishop.”

A letter from U.S. Apostolic Nuncio Archbishop Christophe Pierre, “I have been informed by the Prefect of the Dicastery for the Clergy that, on 9 November 2022, a Supreme Decision admitting of no possibility of appeal directed that Rev. Frank Pavone be dismissed from the clerical state.”

“As you will know, Father Pavone was a very public and high profile figure associated with the Right to Life Movement in the U.S. His dismissal from the clerical state may, therefore, be a matter of interest among the faithful. In anticipation of that potential interest, the attached statement regarding Frank Pavone is provided for your information, and for release within your (arch)diocese as and if you deem appropriate. The attached statement has been approved by the Dicastery for the Clergy.”

The statement claimed, “Rev. Frank Pavone, the founder of the organization, Priests for Life, Inc., was dismissed from the clerical state by the Holy See on 9 November 2022. This action was taken after Father Pavone was found guilty in canonical proceedings of blasphemous communications on social media, and of persistent disobedience of the lawful instructions of his diocesan bishop.”

“Father Pavone was given ample opportunity to defend himself in the canonical proceedings, and he was also given multiple opportunities to submit himself to the authority of his diocesan bishop. It was determined that Father Pavone had no reasonable justification for his actions. Since Priests for Life, Inc. is not a Catholic organization, Mr. Pavone’s continuing role in it as a lay person would be entirely up to the leadership of that organization.”

It is unclear what specific charges Pavone was laicized under. The Catholic News Agency wrote, “Pavone’s sudden laicization has shocked many Catholics and pro-life advocates. It also raises a host of still-unanswered questions about his case. Among them: What are the specific canonical crimes with which Pavone was charged? And when, and how, was he notified he is no longer a priest? Pavone, for his part, claims that he had no prior notification about the Vatican’s action until contacted by CNA on Dec. 17. Is this plausible?”

According to the “Modern Catholic Dictionary” by Father John Hardon, SJ, “blasphemy” is defined as “Speaking against God in a contemptuous, scornful, or abusive manner. Serious contemptuous ridicule of the saints, sacred objects, or of persons consecrated to God is also blasphemous because God is indirectly attacked.”

Pavone responded to the announcement, saying to Life News, “I have made an irrevocable commitment to defend the unborn and to be a priest. I will not walk away from either one.”

“Ultimately, this is about how the Church will respond to abortion, and whose view of this battle will hold sway in the Catholic Church and beyond. It’s about whom the Church wants to punish: Pro-abortion politicians or pro-life priests. It’s about whom the Church wants to abort: Babies in the womb, or priests who defend them,” he added.

It is unclear why the pro-life priest was charged and defrocked under such accusations, while heretical priests such as leftist Father James Martin are still allowed to spew heretical anti-Catholic doctrines. These include statements supporting transgenderism for children and sharing blasphemous depictions of Our Lady of Guadalupe, among other examples.

NM Dems received big campaign check from disgraced FTX founder

According to financial reports filed by the Democratic Party of New Mexico’s federal political action committee (PAC), the entity received $10,000 from disgraced crypto founder Sam Bankman-Fried on August 31, 2022. He founded the failed crypto exchange FTX, which he used to launder money, according to a federal indictment.

The failed crypto mogul may have illegally taken about $10 billion in FTX customers’ funds for his trading firm, Alameda Research, whose future is also in peril, according to the Wall Street Journal. He is now worth close to nothing after his downfall.

Bankman-Fried was one of the Democrat Party’s largest donors until his downfall. On December 13, he was indicted on charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, wire fraud, conspiracy to commit commodities fraud, conspiracy to commit securities fraud, conspiracy to commit money laundering, and conspiracy to defraud the Federal Election Commission and commit campaign finance violations.

The disgraced ex-crypto boss gave mostly to Democrats, although some Republicans received cash from him as well. The Democratic Party of New Mexico, however, was one of the largest 25 recipients of campaign donations.

The Democrat Party has not refunded Bankman-Fried’s contribution, nor has it made any public statements regarding taking the large contribution from the accused money launderer.

CNN, Fox Business: Higher gas prices likely on the horizon

According to reports from leftist and more right-of-center news organizations, there is a consensus that gas prices are likely headed upward in the near future.

Due to the Saudi-ruled Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC+) decision to reduce oil output by two million barrels per day could lead to higher oil prices and, thus, higher gasoline prices at the fuel pump, according to Fox Business.

“Gas prices are dropping sharply and are only a nickel more per gallon than a year ago,” Andrew Gross, AAA spokesperson, said to Fox. “But with oil being the main ingredient in gasoline, OPEC+’s move could slow this decline.”

CNN added, in a report titled, “Big Oil stocks are pointing to higher gas prices to come,” “The S&P 500 is down more than 17% this year while shares of Exxon, Halliburton and Chevron are all up more than 45%. Oil prices and energy stocks are closely interlinked — so this discrepancy is an odd one and could mean that lower gas prices may not be here to stay.”

“While crude prices are dropping, equities traders appear to be taking on a different bet: They’re hoping that OPEC’s recent decision to stick with supply cuts and Europe’s agreement to cap the price of Russian oil at $60 a barrel will keep the global supply of oil very tight, even if demand drops.”

The report continued that prices are likely to go up, though, according to historical trends, noting, “In the end, the divergence may be temporary: In four of the five major splits between oil and energy stock prices since 1990, oil returned to a rally in the year that followed, according to Bespoke Investment Group.”

Gas price averages across the country are down by one cent versus last week, while down by an average of 14 cents versus last month, according to AAA.

New Mexico’s average gas price is $3.13. The county with the lowest price is reported to be Valencia County at $2.82. Under the Joe Biden administration, New Mexico recorded its highest-ever average gas price of $4.83 for regular unleaded and $5.60 for diesel in June of 2022.

Haaland renames 13 supposedly racist NM federal ‘features’ with ‘squaw’ title

This week, far-left Department of the Interior (DOI) Sec. Deb Haaland announced DOI had removed 650 federal “features” with the name “squaw,” which she claims is a racial slur. In a press release, the Department insisted that squaw has been used as “an offensive ethnic, racial and sexist slur, particularly for Indigenous women.”

The move came after a vote by the Haaland-established “Derogatory Geographic Names Task Force,” which moved to strike the names from federal lands.

“I feel a deep obligation to use my platform to ensure that our public lands and waters are accessible and welcoming. That starts with removing racist and derogatory names that have graced federal locations for far too long,” said Haaland.

In New Mexico, there are 13 places renamed, including Squaw Creek Tank reservoir in Catron County, which is now named “Tin Tank Number Two.”

Other instances include Grant County’s Squaw Creek Ridge Tank and Squaw Creek, now named “Ridge Tank” and “Meason Creek,” respectively, Chaves County’s Squaw Canyon valley and Squaw Creek, now named “Janey Canyon,” and “Squaw Creek,” respectively, Soccorro County’s Squaw Peak, renamed to “Bear Peak,” Sierra County’s Squaw Tit Canyon and Squaw Tit summit, now named “Horse Camp Canyon” and “Grandview Peak,” respectively, Catron and Sierra Counties’ Squaw Creek, now named “Tin Creek,” Otero County’s Squaw Tank reservoir, now named “Lone Butte Tank,” Doña Ana County’s Squaw Mountain, now “Bar Mountain,” San Juan County’s Squaw Spring, now “Tuurkava Paachihpi Spring,” and Sandoval County’s Squaw Peak, now “Tamayameh Kah Sta Mah.”

The DOI press release notes, “Secretary’s Order 3405 created a Federal Advisory Committee for the Department to formally receive advice from the public regarding additional derogatory terms, derogatory terms on federal land units, and the process for derogatory name reconciliation. Next steps on the status of that Committee will be announced in the coming weeks.”

This means the renaming of supposedly racist federal lands from “squaw” is just the tip of the iceberg for Haaland, who is prioritizing social justice over anything else. It is unclear how much the mass renaming of federal lands will cost the taxpayers, who will have to pay to replace signage, maps, merchandise, and all other necessary modifications.

Poll: GOP beating Dems on ‘preservation of American democracy’

Democrats have been screaming in the national media about a supposed GOP-led “breakdown of American democracy,” as Democrat New Mexico Secretary Of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver did while on MSNBC, Americans have a much different perspective.

The claims of erosion of democracy have gotten louder after the 2020 election, where statistically impossible abnormalities put Joe Biden in the White House. Then, on January 6, 2021, as the U.S. Capitol was breached, Democrats screamed “insurrection” and “assault on our democracy” even louder.

But a new Fox News poll just released last week shows Republicans are beating Democrats in the “preservation of American democracy,” with Republicans garnering 46% to Democrats’ 45%.

On many other issues, such as inflation and higher prices, Republicans beat Democrats 55% to 36%, while Republicans crush Democrats on crime, with 52% to Democrats’ 39%.

Toulouse Oliver and other Democrats claiming to be supporting democracy appear not to translate to results in the public eye, with the poll appearing to prove Republicans are better at preserving the Republic than Democrats.

Pedophile-linked Lincoln Project targets GOP Rep. Herrell: Report

According to Alex Ross of the Roswell Daily Record, the disgraced pedophile-linked fake “Republican” group the Lincoln Project has conservative Republican Congresswoman Yvette Herrell (NM-CD-2) on its “preliminary list” of Republicans it is trying to target in 2022.

Ross writes, “Spokesperson for Lincoln Project told me today they are ‘finalizing’ the House Republicans they hope to target in 2022, but say Yvette Herrell of #NM02 is ‘on our preliminary list.’ Herrell last November unseated Democrat Xochitl Torres Small 54 to 46%.”

He added, “Herrell has been one of [President] Trump’s most ardent supporters in Congress, voting against certifying the election results in states Biden won in an attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. Trump also carried #NM02 by a large margin.”

The Lincoln Project has been dubbed the “Pedophile Project” by Donald Trump, Jr. after the group’s co-founder John Weaver reportedly harassed nearly two dozen underaged boys, one young man saying the sexual messages started when he was 14. The group is also known for widely condemned media stunts, such as in Virginia’s gubernatorial election where it paid actors dressed as racist Charlottesville protesters to erroneously claim support for Republican Glenn Youngkin. Despite the desperate ploy, Youngkin won the election.

Now, the scandal-plagued D.C. group is attempting to get back on its feet after its fall from grace by helping out radical leftist Democrats to attempt to unseat Herrell.

But Congresswoman Herrell responded, “Bring it on! I’m proud to be a true conservative representing our New Mexico values, and I won’t back down.”

It appears the hand-selected choice of the radical New Mexico Democrat Party for the Second District is Gabe Vasquez, a Trump-hating social justice keyboard warrior and Las Cruces City Councilor who believes the United States is “deeply rooted” in “white supremacy.” He has already snagged many of New Mexico’s high-profile endorsements, including that of Democrat Sen. Martin Heinrich. He is also endorsed by porn actor-turned Democrat state Rep. Roger Montoya.
Herrell is asking donors to help her combat the left-wing extremism of the Lincoln Project by donating here.

Stansbury votes against human rights, sides with bloodthirsty communist Cuban regime

On Thursday, far-left Rep. Melanie Stansbury (D-NM-01) voted against a bipartisan resolution standing in solidarity with the Cuban people who are fighting for their freedom against their communist dictatorship.

Human Rights Watch found that the communist Cuban regime “systematically engaged in arbitrary detention, ill-treatment of detainees, and abuse-ridden criminal prosecutions in response to overwhelmingly peaceful anti-government protests in July 2021.”

The House passed the resolution in a 382-40 vote, “with all 40 votes against it coming from Democrats,” according to The Hill.

The resolution said it was focused on “expressing solidarity with Cuban citizens demonstrating peacefully for fundamental freedoms, condemning the Cuban regime’s acts of repression, and calling for the immediate release of arbitrarily detained Cuban citizens.”

But for Stansbury, a far-left extremist, who votes along the same vein as “Squad” members Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-NY) and Ilhan Omar (D-MN), the commonsense resolution of solidarity opposing a bloodthirsty communist failed state’s treatment of citizens, was not something she could support.

Stansbury has been known for racist statements toward minorities, specifically Dinè people. She told displaced Navajo energy workers to go “sell your art or your wool” instead of having good-paying energy jobs.

Stansbury already has one Republican 2022 challenger, Michelle Garcia Holmes, and more candidates may emerge following Stansbury’s extreme votes. During the special election which put Stansbury in Congress, her statements in support of anti-police groups like “Black Lives Matter” were front-and-center.

Heinrich and Luján vote for eco-terrorist to lead the Bureau of Land Management

In a 50-45 party-line vote, Tracy Stone-Manning was confirmed as the director of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) on Thursday evening, with both New Mexico senators Martin Heinrich (who resides in Maryland) and Ben Ray Luján voting for the controversial nominee.

Stone-Manning is a known eco-terrorist who was involved in a tree spiking plot in the Idaho forest.

According to one report, “Tree spiking is a dangerous and violent eco-terrorism tactic where metal rods are inserted into trees to prevent them from being cut down. The metal rods damage saws that, in turn, have severely injured people, such as a mill worker whose jaw was split in two from an exploding saw.”

In 1993, Stone-Manning was reportedly granted legal immunity for her testimony that she retyped and sent an anonymous letter to the U.S. Forest Service on behalf of John P. Blount, her former roommate, and friend. The letter can be seen here:

Despite her eco-terrorism, all Democrats, including Luján and Heinrich supported her nomination, giving her extreme power to oversee the Bureau of Land Management. According to the BLM website, “BLM employees in New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, and Kansas care for 13.5 million acres of public lands plus 42 million acres of Federal oil, natural gas, and minerals for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations.”

Following Stone-Manning’s confirmation, pro-energy group Power The Future’s Larry Behrens wrote:

Senators Heinrich and Lujan are hoping the wreckage of Joe Biden’s legislative agenda will distract New Mexicans from the confirmation of an eco-terrorist to a high-ranking government position. All the while, green policies are sending energy prices soaring at home and putting Europe on the brink of a supply crisis heading into winter. Tracey Stone-Manning’s confirmation is the clearest sign yet that ‘Blue Collar Joe’ values extreme environmentalism above all else and certainly more than the well-being of our energy workers. New Mexicans are watching, and they won’t be fooled.

Haaland sued by watchdog group for unreleased travel logs

On Wednesday, the watchdog group Protect the Public’s Trust filed a lawsuit in federal court seeking unreleased records of Interior Secretary Deb Haaland’s schedule and travel log. The group says the suit followed indications that “political appointees may be responsible for the lack of transparency,” according to Just The News

The group says that during Haaland’s time on the House Natural Resources Committee while she served in Congress, she and her colleagues “lodged multiple complaints regarding online calendars they believed were delayed or provided insufficient detail.”

Now, her staffer who formerly worked for far-left Rep. Raúl Grijalva, the chairman of the Committee, oversees Haaland’s calendar. Protect the Public’s Trust says that “it appears the agency may be intentionally withholding” the full schedule, which is only publicly accessible in a “skeleton version.”

In July, Interior Department communications director Melissa Schwartz was asked why the agency’s website had “nothing” about Haaland’s meetings or travels.

Schwartz claimed, “I was on a call earlier this week specific to FOIA requests for her calendar and then how we put those up online.” She said, “Sometimes the data dump for FOIA. … just doesn’t look as nice as a communications professional might want it to look … We actually did have something up and then it wasn’t inclusive enough and then we took it down. Just trying to sort of navigate how much to include, whether or not people’s personally identifiable information needs to be redacted and what that looks …”

“One thing I will say is we take our 508 compliance rules very, very seriously … The secretary in her first week did two pen and pad briefings with reporters and I myself promised reporters that we would have the calendar up. I have blown through my own deadline that I committed to because it’s just taking a little bit more time in the beautiful bureaucracy we work in than I expected. It’s very much on our minds. We’re really trying to use August, perhaps slightly quieter time, to get all of this up, and get us all caught up.”

Haaland has been under intense scrutiny for her time in office as Interior Secretary, especially regarding her desire to hold a superspreader event at the Department, which would have gone against policies outlined by the Biden regime. She also held a maskless indoor wedding at the Hyatt Tamaya Resort in New Mexico that went against state health guidelines, a story exclusively broken by the Piñon Post.
