Biden to nominate failed ex-Rep. Torres Small for role at Department of Agriculture

Failed ex-Rep. Xochitl Torres Small, who was soundly defeated in 2020 by Congresswoman Yvette Herrell of the Second District, is reportedly being nominated on Friday for a role in the Joe Biden regime at the Department of Agriculture. The role will require U.S. Senate approval.

The White House is planning to announce on Friday that Biden will nominate former Rep. XOCHITL TORRES SMALL (D-N.M.) to be undersecretary of rural development at the Department of Agriculture, according to two sources familiar with the plans.

Torres Small is the second lawmaker who lost reelection last year whom Biden has moved to add to the administration, along with former Rep. GIL CISNEROS (D-Calif.), whom he nominated in April to be under secretary of Defense for personnel and readiness. The White House declined to comment (POLITICO).

After the Politico report, far-left Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-NM), a resident of Maryland, applauded the decision, writing on Facebook, “…Biden could not have found a better suited person to lead his administration’s rural economic development work than Xochitl Torres Small.” 

He added, “I can’t wait to support her nomination and work with her once again to advance key investments in rural economies including universal broadband deployment, affordable housing, clean water and clean energy infrastructure, and assistance for small business owners.” 

But after Heinrich’s statement, constituents roasted him in the comments. Here are some of the most brutal:

“Seriously. You are so disconnected from the State you are a Senator for. How ignorant.” 

“As someone who voted for her, I ended up unconvinced that there were circumstances in which she would prioritize doing the right thing over not rocking the boat.” 

“Never mind that she represented Texas in one of their many fights over water with New Mexico…but yeah sure, she’s good for government…good like a virus or fungus.” 

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) applauded Torres Small’s nomination, writing,

“Thrilled to hear @POTUS has nominated @xochnm to serve as USDA U-S of Rural Development. In her home of Las Cruces & in Congress, Xochitl has dedicated years to advancing opportunity & prosperity, esp for our rural communities, so that all can share in the American Dream.“

Torres Small was a far-left extremist while serving in Congress, backing New Mexico’s Green New Deal, “free“ college initiatives, abortion up-to-birth and infanticide, among other radical proposals championed by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the socialist Squad. She accepted campaign donations from anti-Semitic Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN).

Heinrich ‘mourns’ death of woman who attacked two with knife, disobeyed police

On Wednesday in an apparent attempt at “solidarity” with those angered over the death of the late eight-time convicted drug addict George Floyd, Sen. Martin Heinrich sent out an email to his fundraising list titled “justice and reform.”

The email touched on the George Floyd trial and the conviction of former police officer Derek Chauvin. He wrote, “Yesterday, Chauvin was found guilty on all charges in the murder of George Floyd. The jury saw what we all knew — that George Floyd was cruelly and needlessly murdered. This verdict can’t bring him back, but I hope that it can grant a measure of comfort to his loved ones and set our nation on a path of reform.” 

“We mourn George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Antonio Valenzuela, Daunte Wright, Adam Toledo, Ma’Khia Bryant, and all of the other Black, Latino, and Native American men, women, and children whose lives have been cut short. For too long, we received no answers, no justice, and no accountability,” he added.

Interestingly, Heinrich included the name of Ma’Khia Bryant of Columbus Ohio, who experts state explicitly was not a victim of police violence. Bryant, who was shot dead, charged at two individuals with a large knife after repeatedly being told by the officer to stop before shooting her as she lunged at another woman with the knife.

According to Philip Stinson, a Bowling Green State University professor who has compiled nationwide statistics on fatal shootings that have led to criminal charges against officers, “from looking at the video, it appears to me that a reasonable police officer would have had a reasonable apprehension of an imminent threat of serious bodily injury or death being imposed against an officer or someone else. That’s the legal standard.” 

Others, including basketball player LeBron James have been blasted for trying to politicize the justified killing of Bryant to advance a political agenda. James posted a tweet featuring the police officer involved in the shooting. His tweet read, “YOU’RE NEXT,” which many interpreted as a threat on the officer’s life.

It is unclear if Heinrich stands by James’ statement, but his use of Bryant to further a political agenda should be noted, for the evidence is still coming out, showing the policeman who shot Bryant was, indeed, acting within the bounds of his training and the law. Heinrich also used the opportunity to promote the newly signed New Mexico anti-police bill, H.B. 4, but he said he wants national reform on policing. Heinrich wrote:

Earlier this month, New Mexico took an important step forward by enacting important reforms in our criminal justice system. It’s time to take up similar reforms on the national level, beginning with the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act.

U.S. Senate committee to consider nomination of anti-energy extremist Deb Haaland to DOI Tuesday

On Tuesday, the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources will consider the nomination of far-left extremist New Mexico U.S. Rep. Deb Haaland (D-Dist. 1) to be secretary of the Department of the Interior. 

Haaland’s nomination has already gotten backlash from western senators, including Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY), the ranking member of the committee. Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT) has vowed to block Haaland’s nomination over her “radical” views, while Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) has seemed hesitant on Haaland’s nomination. Chairman Joe Manchin (D-WV) has given indications of indifference in recent interviews, where he “didn’t suggest he had a problem with Haaland but didn’t indicate he would defend her against Republican opposition, either.” 

Haaland is a ravenous “Green New Deal” backer and loathes the men and women in the oil and gas industry to her very core–an industry that Chairman Joe Manchin’s state is heavily impacted by. If all Republicans and moderate Sen. Joe Manchin all oppose Haaland’s nomination, it means her nomination would not move forward. 

BACKGROUND:  

Haaland has no qualifications to speak of. Not a single piece of legislation she has sponsored in her short two-year tenure in the House has become law, and she has a record of straight-up lying to the American people. Not to mention the fact that despite her multiple attempts at passing the bar to become a lawyer, she has failed. 

During a candidate debate in October, Haaland misled on multiple issues. She claimed she worked in “a bipartisan way” while in Congress, despite voting with socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez 95% of the time, she called a leftist Black Lives Matter/Antifa mob committing arson and vandalism in Lafayette Square near the White House “peaceful,” she claimed she did not support Antifa, despite calling them “peaceful protestors,” saying she has never “missed a vote,” despite missing several, and falsely claiming President Trump called COVID-19 a “Democrat hoax,” which liberal fact-checkers have even admitted is incorrect. 

While running for Congress in 2018, she said, “Let’s be honest, there is a reason there has never been a Native American woman elected to Congress or to a Governorship in over 240 years. Our electoral system was not designed to elect women like me.” That should say it all about the level of pandering she is willing to go to be elected. 

Also, during COVID-19, Haaland exploited the pandemic to raise campaign cash for her feeble re-election bid while New Mexicans were hurting.

But being of a minority group does not and should not be a test for any candidate up for any office of public trust—qualifications should, and Haaland doesn’t hold a single redeeming qualification other than being a partisan Democrat loyalist, who will say just about anything to hold onto power. Qualifications make someone qualified for a position, and Haaland has none.

Fifty of the farthest left Democrats in the House have sent a letter to Joe Biden begging him to pick her to run the Department of Interior along with a group of fringe organizations also lobbying him to tap Haaland for the post. Haaland’s backers say an awful lot about her extremism now and when she could arrive at the Department of the Interior. 34.72% of New Mexico is federally controlled land, meaning Deb would control over 1/3 of our state’s natural resources—meaning sudden death to our state.

ACTION ALERT:

Please call these members of the U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee who are on the fence and tell them to REJECT the nomination of unqualified and dangerous anti-energy extremist Deb Haaland to head the Department of the Interior.

PHOTOS: Trump supporters march on Washington as Congress votes on Electoral College

On Wednesday, American patriots from across the United States gathered in Washington, D.C. for the gigantic “Stop The Steal” rally hosted by multiple groups, spearheaded by Women for America First. Hundreds of thousands of Americans of all ages and backgrounds gathered at the Ellipse in President’s Park all the way past the Washington Monument and beyond.

The protest resulted in multiple individuals interrupting Congress’ certification of Joe Biden’s alleged fraudulent victory when some protesters stormed into the U.S. Congress, resulting in the evacuation of Vice President Pence, as well as all members of Congress. An unarmed woman, Ashli Babbitt, a 14-year Air Force veteran, was shot and died thereafter. Three others were killed, while there were 52 arrests in total.

Democrats, including Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham and the entirety of the U.S. Congressional delegation for New Mexico, including Rep. Herrell, decried the violence at the Capitol. “I am safe, but the violence at the Capitol is entirely unacceptable. I urge all those in Washington today to allow Congress to continue its business as the Constitution requires,” said Rep. Herrell in an initial statement.

In a later statement, Herrell wrote, “The violence at the U.S. Capitol today is reprehensible. I condemn anyone who would endanger our men and women in law enforcement like this in the strongest terms, and I am deeply grateful to the Capitol Police officers who kept me safe today.” 

Gov. Lujan Grisham released stronger language, claiming those who breached the U.S. Capitol were “domestic terrorists.” She wrote, “I am sickened by what is occurring at the U.S. Capitol. It is nothing less than domestic terrorism, enacted in an effort to overturn a free and fair election.” 

Fraud has been proven in the U.S. election, and countless irregularities have been sighted across the board. Evidence of election fraud can be found here. 

The U.S. House was only allowed to vote on two motions certifying electors for the states of Arizona and Pennsylvania. On these allowed votes, Rep. Herrell was the only member of the New Mexico delegation to vote against both measures.

When Vice President Pence asked for objections to the certifications of New Mexico’s electors, no objections were seen, including from Rep. Yvette Herrell.

In a subsequent statement on Facebook, Herrell wrote the following: 

Late last night, I kept my promise to object to the certification of the Electoral College tallies from the two states for which votes were permitted: Arizona and Pennsylvania. No other objections for any other state, including New Mexico, had the required backing of at least one U.S. Senator that would have allowed a vote on the House floor.

The unconstitutional election changes in numerous states disenfranchised my constituents in New Mexico. I hope that by joining so many of my House colleagues in objecting we can shed light on the problems with the 2020 election and move towards solutions that restore integrity and confidence to our electoral system.

As President Trump said this morning, there will be an orderly transition to the new administration on January 20th. I will continue to work on behalf of the people of New Mexico’s Second District to support our shared values of limited government, free markets, and Constitutional rights.

There was a large demonstration at the New Mexico Capitol, with over 300 attendees rallying to stop the steal in Santa Fe. KRQE News reported that the state Capitol was evacuated amidst the pro-Trump protests, however, it was peaceful.

Trump: The ‘Lamestream Media is going CRAZY’ over huge daily COVID-19 press conference ratings

On Sunday, President Trump took to Twitter to point out how the liberal media is “going CRAZY” over the news of gigantic ratings on his daily COVID-19 press briefings.

Trump cites a New York Times article that shows his press conferences are getting Bachelor Season Finale and Monday Night Football-type ratings

“Because the “Ratings” of my News Conferences etc. are so high, “Bachelor finale, Monday Night Football type numbers” according to the @nytimes, the Lamestream Media is going CRAZY. “Trump is reaching too many people, we must stop him.” said one lunatic,” wrote Trump.

According to the Times’ piece, “On Monday, nearly 12.2 million people watched Mr. Trump’s briefing on CNN, Fox News and MSNBC, according to Nielsen — “Monday Night Football” numbers.”

President Trump’s Sunday press conference will happen at 5:00 P.M. Eastern time.
