Fox News announces shocking split with Tucker Carlson

On Monday, it was revealed in a news release that Fox News’ Tucker Carlson of the high-rated hit show Tucker Carlson Tonight is leaving the network.

It read, “FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.”

“Mr. Carlson’s last program was Friday April 21st. Fox News Tonight will air live at 8 PM/ET starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating FOX News personalities until a new host is named.”

Last week, Fox News settled its lawsuit with Dominion for $787.5 million. It is immediately unclear if Carlson’s departure is related to the multi-million-dollar settlement.

Carlson ended his Fox News career with a staggering 2.99 million viewers of his Thursday night show, trouncing all other networks by millions. Fox News is likely to lose many viewers if Carlson is picked up by another network, and it is unclear who will fill his shoes with his abrupt departure.

Matt Walsh of the Daily Wire wrote following the split, “Wow. Disastrous moment for Fox News. Tucker was by far the most important and relevant figure at the network, and in all of cable news.”

The Fox Corp Class A and B stocks appeared to have lost around five percent following the news:

“An interim program, ‘Fox News Tonight,’ will air at 8 p.m. ET until a permanent replacement for Carlson is named. ‘Fox News Tonight’ will be hosted by a rotation of various Fox News personalities,” according to a Fox News report

U.S. Supreme Court lets abortion pill stay on market for now

A short 7-2 ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court Friday evening ordered the abortion drug mifepristone may remain on the market until a federal lower court rules on the matter, giving the Joe Biden regime a temporary win pending a court determination.

“In this case, the issue is not abortion pills directly, but whether the FDA acted appropriately in approving the drug more than 20 years ago. The Alliance Defending Freedom, which represents the pro-life plaintiffs, alleges the FDA ‘chose politics over science’ in approving the drug and acted unlawfully by removing safeguards around mifepristone, including permitting the pill to be delivered by mail,” reported Fox News

In a dissenting opinion, Justice Samuel A. Alito, Jr. wrote, “ At present, the applicants are not entitled to a stay because they have not shown that they are likely to suffer irreparable harm in the interim. The applicants claim that regulatory “chaos” would occur due to an alleged conflict between the relief awarded in these cases and the relief provided by a decision of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Washington. It is not clear that there actually is a conflict because the relief in these cases is a stay, not an injunction, but even if there is a conflict, that should not be given any weight. Our granting of a stay of a lower-court decision is an equitable remedy.”

He further noted, “The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has engaged in what has become the practice of ‘leverag[ing]’ district court injunctions “as a basis’ for implementing a desired policy while evading both necessary agency procedures and judicial review.”

Justices Alito and Clarence Thomas were the only justices to dissent from the majority opinion, with no other justice weighing in on the matter.

The Supreme Court’s ruling on the matter followed U.S. District Judge Matthew J. Kacsmaryk’s ruling on a case ordering the abortion drug to be banned from being distributed due to the unsafe nature of its contents, which has been proven in the case.

A 2021 scientific study found from FDA data between 2000 and 2019 that there were many deaths and adverse medical events directly linked to the use of mifepristone. The researchers found in their research that “[s]ignificant morbidity and mortality have occurred following the use of mifepristone as an abortifacient.”

Until the Fifth Circuit rules on the case, the abortion drug will be allowed to be disseminated. Some radical far-left pro-abortion sources are claiming they will create a black market for the killing drug even if a court strikes it down, opening the possibility for more women to be maimed and killed by the abortion industry via contraband efforts.

Timeline revealed for Biden’s 2024 announcement

Joe Biden’s 2024 announcement for the presidency is expected as early as Tuesday, according to a report from the New York Times

“Biden is nearing a final decision to formally enter the 2024 presidential race as early as Tuesday, with a video to announce his run already in production, according to four people with knowledge of the plans,” the outlet wrote.

Biden said during his trip to Ireland last week that his announcement for the White House would come “relatively soon.”

However, Biden “has not yet given final approval to the announcement plan, according to one person with knowledge of the discussions,” the Times notes.

At 80, Biden is the oldest person ever to occupy the White House, and if elected in 2024, he would finish that term at the age of 86.

“Mr. Biden has already summoned donors to Washington next week, inviting those who have given at least $1 million to a two-day gathering starting on Friday. The event, which is not a fund-raiser, is intended to rally his army of bundlers and donors ahead of a 2024 campaign that is likely to top more than $1 billion, including super PAC spending,” the report concluded.

Biden faces two opponents so far in the Democrat primary, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., the nephew of President John F. Kennedy, and author Marianne Williamson, who ran unsuccessfully in 2020 for the White House.

Prominent leftist news site is shutting down, laying off 180 staffers

On Thursday, it was revealed that far-left news website BuzzFeed News is shutting down “because it is not able to turn a profit,” according to CEO Jonah Peretti in an internal memo.

The news site’s parent company BuzzFeed is laying off the news team and other staffers from across the company, resulting in 180 people being let go.

The company says it is focusing on its other news property, the Huffington Post, instead of carrying on with BuzzFeed News.

“We will concentrate our news efforts in HuffPost, a brand that is profitable with a highly engaged, loyal audience that is less dependent on social platforms,” wrote Peretti.

“We will empower our editorial teams at all of our brands to do the very best creative work and build an interface where that work can be packaged and brought to advertisers more effectively. And we will bring more innovation to clients in the form of creators, AI, and cultural moments that can only happen across BuzzFeed, Complex, HuffPost, Tasty and First We Feast.”

“It might not feel this way today, but I am confident the future of digital media is ours for the taking. Our industry is hurting and ready to be reborn. We are taking great pains today, and will begin to fight our way to a bright future,” he concluded.

Variety reported, “Alongside the shutdown of BuzzFeed News, chief revenue officer Edgar Hernandez and COO Christian Baesler are leaving the company. BuzzFeed president Marcela Martin will assume responsibility for all revenue functions effective immediately.”

An SEC filing revealed that BuzzFeed will incur between $7 million to $11 million in charges related to the layoffs.

Biden gets alarming revelation as RFK, Jr. enters 2024 race

On Wednesday, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. officially announced his candidacy for the presidency in 2024, seeking the Democrat nomination. This comes as Joe Biden has not yet made a formal announcement of his candidacy for the 2024 election.

However, Biden got some surprising news, as a USA TODAY/Suffolk University Poll found 14 percent of Democrat voters already are ready to ditch Biden for Kennedy.

The outlet reported, “In the survey taken Saturday through Tuesday, only 67% of Biden’s 2020 supporters said they would support him for the Democratic nomination over his current challengers. Kennedy stands at 14%, and self-help author Marianne Williamson, a quixotic candidate for the nomination last time, is at 5%. Another 13% are undecided.”

“The poll was taken by landline and cellphone of 600 Biden voters, identified from national and state polls from 2020 to 2022. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.”

That’s a lot of Biden voters who have jumped ship early in the 2024 race, while the Biden administration has taken a sharp left turn away from moderate stances that he leaned in on while campaigning for the presidency in 2020.

“Kennedy drew the support of 33% of Biden voters who disapprove of the job he is doing as president and 35% of those who say his policies in the White House have been ‘too liberal.’ The challenger’s appeal was strongest among self-identified conservatives, younger voters and those who don’t have a college degree,” further reported USA TODAY.

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is the son of former Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, Sr., who was assassinated while campaigning for the presidency in 1968. He is also the nephew of former President John F. Kennedy, who also lost his life to an assassination in 1963.

The current Democrat candidate for president has leaned in on his uncle’s commonsense Democrat policies, with signs at his announcement rally reading, “I’m a Kennedy Democrat.”

Swalwell called out to his face over ‘sexual relationship’ with Chinese spy

Far-left Congressman Eric Swalwell (D-CA) was confronted Wednesday during a House Committee on Homeland Security hearing by Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) over his reported sexual relationship with a Chinese spy, Fang Fang.

After Swalwell’s attacks upon the GOP during the hearing, Greene said, “That was quite entertaining from someone that had a sexual relationship with a Chinese spy. And everyone knows it!”

Democrats immediately tried to get Greene’s words stricken from the record and demanded she stops speaking.

Rep. Daniel Goldman (D-NY) shouted at the chairman, “I move to take her words down.”

When pressed, he said he wanted “everything that the gentle lady from Georgia has said” to be stricken, including “accusations of an affair with a Chinese spy.”

“Those are engaging in personalities, and … those words should be taken down, and the gentle lady should not be able to speak anymore in this hearing,” he said.

When asked if Greene would retract her statement, she said, “No, I will not.”

“The chair rules that those words that were spoken are not going to be stricken from the record,” said Chairman Mark Greene (R-TN).

The reason Swalwell was removed from the Intelligence Committee was that he had a sexual relationship with a Chinese spy, according to Greene.

“The woman at the center of the operation, a Chinese national named Fang Fang or Christine Fang, targeted up-and-coming local politicians in the Bay Area and across the country who had the potential to make it big on the national stage,” wrote Axios in a 2020 report.

During an interview on The View, Swalwell claimed, “First and foremost, and you don’t have to take my word for it, take the FBI’s word for it…when they told me who she …I did everything that I hoped everyone would do, which was to cooperate and help the FBI, and she was removed,” although he did not deny the sexual relationship with Fang Fang, even if he claims he didn’t know she was a spy.

Leftists rip Dominion for settling with Fox News, ‘go shopping for yachts’

On Tuesday, it was announced that Fox News had settled a multi-billion-dollar lawsuit filed by Dominion Voting Systems, which is responsible for voting machines in many states. Following the 2020 election, many charged that these systems could be tampered with to skew votes, with these perspectives being featured on Fox News.

According to reports, Fox News settled the lawsuit for less than half the $1.6 billion in damages sought by Dominion, with the company getting a whopping $787.5 million from the Rupert Murdoch-owned news company.

Fox released a statement following the settlement news, writing that it is “pleased to have reached a settlement of our dispute with Dominion Voting Systems. We acknowledge the Court’s rulings finding certain claims about Dominion to be false. This settlement reflects FOX’s continued commitment to the highest journalistic standards.”

In its response to the original case, Fox News charged Dominion with taking “an extreme view of defamation law that would stop the media in its tracks,” hampering First Amendment-protected speech.

Leftist media outlets were salivating at the thought of the case going to trial but were noticeably down with the news that there wouldn’t be wall-to-wall coverage of the spectacle.

Late-night hosts Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert were angered by the settlement, with Kimmel saying, “We naively thought this was about making Fox News take responsibility for destroying their reputation because that’s what they told us it was about.”

He added, But no, they took the money instead — which means the liars who knowingly misled their oatmeal-brained viewers and seriously damaged our democracy don’t have to say anything about it at all … while Dominion and their lawyers go shopping for yachts.”

Colbert said, “I guess it’s satisfying. I mean, for Dominion, that Rupee had to fork over a pile of cash, but that does nothing for our democracy.”

The View‘s hosts, including Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin attacked Dominion, claiming the results of the suit failed because Fox News does not have to publicly state it was in the wrong via television.

“I understand there’s a lot coming down the pike,” cohost Whoopi Goldberg said. “But I don’t like the idea that they don’t have to say it out loud. I don’t like that you’re hoping people will read the deposition. I wanted them to have to say, ‘We lied. And we knew we were lying, but we lied anyway.’”

WATCH:

Before the settlement was reached, journalist James O’Keeffe, regarding his own defamation lawsuit against the New York Times, “Whatever the outcome of Dominion, the double standards between that and my libel lawsuit against the NYT – is just insane. Both come down to ‘actual Malice’ Rosenberg at NYT said they ‘f*cked up’ in my case.”

Leftists lose it over Elon Musk’s new Twitter policy change

Before the days of Elon Musk at Twitter, one could have their account suspended and shut down if they “misgendered” someone over the social media platform.

The previous policy read, “We prohibit targeting others with repeated slurs, tropes or other content that intends to dehumanise, degrade or reinforce negative or harmful stereotypes about a protected category. This includes targeted misgendering or deadnaming of transgender individuals.”

But Musk has now rolled back the policy, making leftists’ heads collectively explode.

The radical LGBTQ+ group GLAAD wrote that the rollback is “the latest example of just how unsafe the company is for users and advertisers alike.”

The group’s president and CEO, Sarah Kate Ellis, told Pink News, “This decision to roll back LGBTQ+ safety pulls Twitter even more out of step with TikTok, Pinterest and Meta, which all maintain similar policies to protect their transgender users at a time when anti-transgender rhetoric online is leading to real world discrimination and violence.”

The outlet claimed, “The move means that Twitter is falling behind other social media companies including TikTok and Pinterest, which have both explicitly banned misgendering, deadnaming, misogyny and the promotion of ‘conversion therapy’ practices.”

In response to the news, other leftists wrote responses such as, “I can’t in good faith use Twitter anymore. It’s been like that for a while. Follow me on Mastodon,” referring to the leftist Twitter alternative that rarely anyone uses.

Another wrote, “This site, despite Space Karen claiming to want ‘balance,’ continues to veer towards becoming a right-wing pandering hell hole. And I’m over it. If you haven’t added me on other sites yet, please do. I’ll be phasing out Twitter now. I’m done.”

The freakout has resulted in complete pandemonium among the far-left, with Pink News adding in anger, “Musk himself has posted several anti-LGBTQ+ tweets in the past, including claims that a “woke mind virus” needs to be defeated, blaming “communist” universities for his trans daughter’s fraught relationship with him, and making false claims about gender-affirming surgery. His historically anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric caused several queer pundits to predict that Twitter’s hateful conduct policy would be changed in future.”

Joe Biden gets unlikely competitor in 2024 Dem primary

On Wednesday, KFOR reported that convicted felon and “Tiger King” star Joe “Exotic” Maldonado would be running for the presidency in 2024 as a Democrat — while he is still incarcerated.

Maldonado is currently serving a 21-year conviction for violations of the Endangered Species Act and a murder-for-hire plot against wildlife park rival Carole Baskin.

“I’m joining the Democrats to fight like hell for every child in America. Their future won’t be destroyed by endless laws and the shadow of violence,” wrote Joe Exotic on Twitter. “It’s time for a g****** revolution, and I’m leading the charge!”

The reality television star previously ran unsuccessful campaigns for president in 2016 as an independent and ran for the Oklahoma governorship as a Libertarian in 2018.

“His campaign is advocating for ‘responsible gun regulation,’ reproductive rights, mental health and criminal justice reform,” the outlet reported.

“Unrelenting in his quest for accountability, Joe Exotic seeks to expose deep-rooted corruption within the Department of Justice and fiercely advocate for innocent Americans who are wrongfully imprisoned in federal penitentiaries,” his campaign said.

Maldonado will face an array of other Democrats in his longshot bid for the White House, with Joe Biden indicating he will run again for the office, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. announcing his campaign last week, and failed 2020 candidate Marianne Williamson is giving it another shot.
