Teresa Leger de Fernandez

Teresa Leger Fernandez added to NRCC’s 2022 target list

On Wednesday, following sweeping Republican victories nationwide, everywhere from Buffalo, New York, to Virginia, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) has listed 13 new names on its target list for 2022, including New Mexico’s Third District, represented by first-term Democrat Rep. Teresa Leger Fernandez.

“In a cycle like this, no Democrat is safe,” said NRCC Chairman Tom Emmer (R-Minn.). “Voters are rejecting Democrat policies that have caused massive price increases, opened our borders and spurred a nationwide crime wave.”

Due to redistricting, which may result in Leger Fernandez’s district shifting from solid blue to light blue, with the right candidate, she could be kicked out of office in the midterms, especially with help from the NRCC and national figures.

Also included on the target list are Reps. Greg Stanton, (D-AZ), Ed Perlmutter (D-CO), Joe Courtney (D-CT), Darren Soto (D-FL), Sanford Bishop (D-GA), Frank Mrvan (D-IN), David Trone (D-MD), G.K. Butterfield (D-NC), Annie Kuster (D-NH), Madeleine Dean (D-PA), Jim Cooper (D-TN), and Jennifer Wexton (D-VA).

“Democrats should immediately abandon their $3.5 trillion reckless tax and spending spree. Last night made it crystal clear that the American people are rejecting Democrats’ radical socialist agenda,” said NRCC spokesman Mike Berg

.The red wave in the 2021 elections, including in New Mexico with many GOP pickups, Republicans are likely to score many more victories in New Mexico and nationwide, including in the 3rd Congressional District, which covers northern New Mexico.

The news comes also as Leger Fernandez has been raising cash to help Texas women get abortions in New Mexico. Many New Mexicans are pro-life, especially in the Third District, which has many pro-life Catholic communities.

Radical pro-abortion Dems cry on Twitter about life-saving Texas law

On Wednesday, Texas’ Heartbeat Bill became law, effectively banning all abortions after a heartbeat is detected in the state. Following the victory for human life, far-left politicians who have taken tens of thousands from the late-term abortion lobby over the years screamed on social media about the supposed “injustice” of not being able to execute full-term babies in the Lone Star State.

New Mexico politicians joined in on the pro-abortion lobby’s lamentations.

Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, who paid off a staffer $62,500 for allegedly grabbing his crotch, claimed on Twitter, “Access to health care is in grave danger in Texas and across the country. Here in NM, we know women deserve the right to make their own healthcare decisions — and that’s why we’ve protected those rights.” Lujan Grisham erroneously claims abortion is “health care” and signed an extreme abortion up-to-birth and infanticide bill into law.

She used the Texas bill to fundraise, sharing a link to her donation page with the comment that she’s “stood up for women and the right to choose my entire career.”

Rep. Teresa Leger de Fernandez (D-NM-03) wrote on Twitter, “It’s unacceptable that SCOTUS allowed such a dangerous & extreme abortion bans (sic) to take effect in Texas.” She added, “We must immediately act to codify Roe & pass the Women’s Health Protection Act to protect abortion rights. Abortion care is a personal decision & a fundamental right.”

It is unclear where in the Constitution or in the medical code of ethics Leger de Fernandez sees the “right” to execute babies in the womb. It is also unclear how she believes banning an elective procedure to kill a baby in the womb is “dangerous” or “extreme.” Most believe the opposite, according to polls

Rep. Melanie Stansbury (D-NM-01) wrote on Twitter, “Let’s be clear. Abortion bans endanger the health, self-determination, opportunities & well-being of our communities—especially BIPOC & low-income communities. That’s why I’m supporting the #WomensHealthProtectionAct. Congress must act.  #ProtectRoevsWade.”

Stansbury apparently believes that “BIPOC” or “Black, Indigenous, People of Color,” and low-income Americans’ well-being is determined by how many of their babies are killed in the womb. Previously, Stansbury told Native American (Indigenous) people displaced from their high-paying jobs that they should just “sell your art or your wool.” Stansbury clearly has revamped this racist rhetoric to push abortions on minority communities through the extreme “Women’s Health Protection Act,” which would allow the execution of many more babies in the womb in the United States.

Now, as the pro-abortion extremists scream about them not being able to kill full-term children in Texas, New Mexico’s radical abortion bill has encouraged “abortion tourism” from out-of-state for mothers to kill their babies in New Mexico at any time in pregnancy. Southwestern Women’s Options allows babies to be killed up to and after 32 weeks in pregnancy while some babies have made it out of the womb and been killed on the delivery room table. Many women, including Keisha Atkins, have died from these dangerous abortion procedures.

Alexis Martinez Johnson running for mayor of Santa Fe

On Thursday, the former congressional candidate for the Third District, Republican Alexis Martinez Johnson, has announced her run for the mayorship of Santa Fe.

“I believe in the potential of this city, but only if we abandon the divisive rhetoric and join under common goals like having safe infrastructure,” she said in a statement. “As the next Santa Fe Mayor, I will prioritize safety, responsible modernization, and cultural heritage.”

According to the Albuquerque Journal, She’ll also begin the process of collecting enough nominating signatures and $5 contributions to meet the city’s candidate qualifying requirement while signing the paperwork on Thursday to become a candidate.

During the nomination for CD-3 in 2020, she only received 11% of the party insider vote from the GOP convention. Still, she earned enough signatures to appear on the ballot and ended up winning the Republican nomination. Although she was unsuccessful in her run against Democrat Teresa Leger de Fernandez, she garnered the third-highest percentage of the vote by a Republican in the District’s 38-year history with 41.4%.

Martinez Johnson now joins two other candidates, incumbent Mayor Alan Webber and city councilor JoAnne Vigil Cobbler for the spot. Webber is a far-left extremist who sat idly by and instructed city police to stand down while domestic terrorists toppled the 152-year-old obelisk in Downtown Santa Fe. Vigil Coppler opposed the Mayor’s actions and supported Hispanic culture, unlike Webber, who partnered with Marxist anti-Hispanic hate groups.

In her 2020 run for Congress, Martinez Johnson was supported by conservative Congressman Paul Gosar (R-AZ), who said at the time, “Elites from the east and west coast want to determine the fate of New Mexico’s elections. I want you to know that Alexis will bring true conservative representation to New Mexico’s 3rd District. Choosing to support Alexis in the General Election will help fight off the elites from the east and west coast.”

Martinez Johnson has stood up for many commonsense principles on the campaign trail, such as family values, pro-life positions, and support for Northern New Mexico’s mixed cultural heritage.

Herrell stands firmly with President Trump as Dems make second partisan impeachment attempt

On Wednesday, U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is set to force through a rushed and vengeful second impeachment attempt in her chamber of Congress, which already has anti-Trump neocons and Democrats licking their lips at the prospect of taking down President Trump.

Democrats in New Mexico’s U.S. House delegation have lined up one by one and proudly shouted their support for another impeachment charade. This time, the impeachment claims the President “incited” what Democrats are calling “insurrection.”

U.S. Sen. Martin Heinrich wrote on his Facebook wall, “So should Donald Trump be impeached? Obviously. Should he be allowed to ever hold office again? Absolutely not. There must be accountability as we hold responsible those who committed these violent acts, those like the President who incited these crimes, and those who enabled the President’s worst impulses.”

According to the Roswell Daily Record, Adan Serna, a spokesman for Democrat Ben Ray Luján, said, “If the impeachment proceedings come to the U.S. Senate and there is a trial, Lujan will support impeachment.”

First-term Rep. Teresa Leger Fernandez posted on Facebook, “Our beloved democracy was violently attacked. It’s time to finally hold this President accountable.”

Rep. Deb Haaland did not respond to comments from the media today about the impeachment. However, she was rabidly supportive of the Democrats’ first impeachment attempt. She is former Vice President Joe Biden’s nominee for Department of the Interior despite her lack of experience in land management.

New Mexico’s lone Republican in the delegation, Rep. Yvette Herrell, spoke out strongly against impeachment or invocation of the 25th Amendment to remove President Trump, writing, “I don’t believe invoking the 25th or going through a second impeachment is really healthy for the nation. I think it puts fuel on the fire and I’m not in favor of that.”

The U.S. House of Representatives is slated to vote on the partisan impeachment attempt this afternoon. All of New Mexico’s congressional Democrats will likely vote for impeachment.

KOB 4 News reports wrong name of newly sworn-in U.S. rep.

On Sunday, liberal media outlet KOB 4 reported the incorrect new U.S. representative being sworn into the 117th Congress from the Third District.

During the evening newscast, Kai Porter, a reporter for the station, reported that “Alexis Martinez Johnson (D)” was sworn in, despite Teresa Leger-Fernandez (D) being sworn in instead. Martinez Johnson was the Republican nominee in the Third District, who is not a Democrat.

Watch the clip below:

The actual new representative posted on her Twitter account, “What a joy to get to share this day with my sons Dario, Alisandro, and Abelino. They made calls, marched in parades, put up signs, and supported me each step of the way – and today they saw their mom sworn in to Congress.”

Alexis Martinez Johnson responded to the flub my KOB, writing in a statement, “I ran over a yearlong campaign as the Republican candidate for U.S. Congress and feel it is important that the media, specifically in this case KOB, clarifies this fact to not confuse the public. It is also important that the 3rdCongressional District knows who in fact is their current congressional representative.”

A ‘WalkAway’ Democrat’s guide to the 2020 New Mexico elections

2020 is a turning point for New Mexico families. We have two choices: continue “business as usual” voting for the same out-of-touch Democrat politicians who have neglected New Mexico while focusing on their careers, such as current Rep. Ben Ray Lujan (NM-03), or we vote our values and elect true conservative champions. For far too long, the politicians in New Mexico have forgotten who they work for and instead focused only on their own careers and political ambitions. 2020 is the year that we, the voters, must unite and Drain the Santa Fe Swamp by firing the career politicians who have neglected New Mexico families.

I come from a generational Democrat family. I always voted Democrat because that’s what my family did. Although I didn’t vote for Donald Trump in 2016, I listened to his inauguration speech in January 2017 and what he was saying resonated with me, especially “America First.” I have grown to respect and appreciate our great president Donald Trump because he is a businessman, and he went to Washington D.C. to “drain the swamp” of the career politicians. He has done great so far, and delivered for American families.

Recently, Trump targeted Albuquerque for “Operation Legend,” where Federal Law Enforcement is working with the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office to apprehend and prosecute the most dangerous criminals in Albuquerque. I am now a Republican because the Republican Party best represents what I care about as a mother: reducing crime, increasing economic opportunity, and education. I walked away from the Democrat Party because I am pro-life, and much of their agenda—such as the Green New Deal—would directly affect the pocketbooks of New Mexico families. In 2020 I will be voting for candidates who best represent my conservative values.

President of the United States

In 2016, New Mexico went for Hillary Clinton, partially explained by Libertarian Gary Johnson (former Governor of New Mexico during the 1990s and early 2000s) running for President in 2016 who received 9% of votes. In 2020 there is an unbridled enthusiasm for President Donald Trump in New Mexico, due to his achievements in office such as the lowest Hispanic unemployment ever recorded, the building of over 300 miles of border wall, and putting New Mexico Families first. The Joe Biden / Kamala Harris ticket is entirely detached from New Mexico politics, with the only connection being that Kamala Harris previously endorsed Democrat Third Congressional District candidate Teresa Leger Fernandez.

New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham was previously considered a top vice presidential contender for Biden, however, with his choice of Harris, there is nothing appealing to New Mexico voters about Biden other than the typical “Vote Blue No Matter Who” tribal mentality of New Mexico politics. I believe that Donald Trump will “Flip NM Red” in 2020 due to his concentrated “boots on the ground” grassroots campaign in our state. Also, due to the general frustration by the government’s overreach through  Michelle Lujan Grisham’s administration in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, it will help his chances.

United States Senate

In the U.S. Senate race, we have a former meteorologist who appeared daily on television for nearly 2 decades, Mark Ronchetti, as the Republican Nominee against the Democrat nominee Re. Ben Ray Lujan, who held the seat for 12 years, and who climbed to the top of the Democrat ranks, second behind Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, and her “Assistant Speaker.” Mark Ronchetti has the benefit of Donald Trump’s reelection campaign efforts, a general “anti-establishment” vibe among New Mexico voters who are eager to “vote out the career politicians,” and the fact that Ben Ray Lujan is virtually the poster boy for career Democrat politicians (partially due to the fact that Tom Udall is retiring and Martin Heinrich isn’t up for reelection until 2022), we have the potential for a huge upset with Mark Ronchetti stopping career politician Ben Ray Lujan in his attempted jump from the U.S. House to the U.S. Senate.

Mark Ronchetti has my full support because he would be the best senator to represent New Mexico families. His dedication to the campaign trail demonstrates that he will continue to listen to the voters of New Mexico, and if we allow Ben Ray Lujan to become our U.S. senator, we can expect him in the U.S. Senate for decades, while ignoring the needs of New Mexico’s families, as he has done for over a decade in the lower chamber.

United States House of Representatives, Congressional District 1

Congressional District 1 is the district where Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham was elected before taking the governorship. Currently, we have Deb Haaland as the first-term incumbent in the district, who has demonstrated her loyalty to the Democrat D.C. Machine rather than working for  New Mexico families.

In November 2019, Haaland was chosen as the campaign co-chair for Elizabeth Warren’s failed presidential run, until she dropped out due to poor showings, even losing her home state of Massachusetts. In the months leading up to the COVID19 pandemic, Deb Haaland was going door to door in Iowa and travelling across the country working for Elizabeth Warren’s campaign rather than doing her job advocating for New Mexico in Washington.

2020 is our year to send a message to the politicians that they need to be doing their job that we pay them to do, or we will vote them out of office. The Republican nominee for CD-1 is Michelle Garcia Holmes, who is a former Albuquerque Police Department Officer / Detective, and former Chief of Staff at the New Mexico Attorney General’s Office, Michelle has the qualifications to make our communities safer in New Mexico.

United States House of Representatives, Congressional District 2

In one of the most highly contested races in the country, we have first-term incumbent Xochitl Torres Small, a Democrat in a Republican-leaning district who was recently named the most vulnerable Democrat in the U.S. House. She is being challenged by real estate professional and former New Mexico Rep. Yvette Herrell, who has the support of leaders in the Republican Party, including Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH), the National Republican Congressional Committee, and even former Democrat Rep. Harry Teague, who previously represented the Second District.

The Republican Primary between Yvette Herrell and Claire Chase was a hard-hitting fight, but since Herrell’s victory, New Mexico Republicans have united behind her. I supported Yvette Herrell before the primary and I will continue until the election due to her previous work as a legislator, her conservative values, and the fact that CD-2 leans Republican.

United States House of Representatives, Congressional District 3

The Third Congressional District leans heavily Democrat, comprising Northern New Mexico, with a mixture of Native American tribal land (Navajo Nation, Jicarilla Apache, a number of pueblos), multi-generational Hispanic families tracing back hundreds of years, and others. CD-3 has only ever elected Democrats, except once during a special election and the Republican incumbent, Rep. Bill Redmond, lost in the following general election to the now-retiring Sen. Tom Udall.

The Democrat nominee, Teresa Leger Fernandez, faced an incredibly difficult Democrat Primary and defeated well funded, big name opponents including former CIA agent Valerie Plame, who received over one million dollars in donations. Teresa Leger Fernandez is the “chosen one” by the Democrat elite and has been endorsed by Ben Ray Luján (current NM CD-3 Representative).

Leger Fernandez will face Republican Alexis Martinez Johnson in the general election. She won the 2020 Republican Primary over other GOP contenders Harry Montoya and Karen Bedonie. Alexis was not the insider party favorite, not making it on the ballot at the pre-primary convention, but gathering petitions to appear on the ballot and winning the primary with less than $9000 dollars. She was outspent 10:1. For the first time in years, CD-3  is in-play for a Republican to win this November!

In 2020, we—the voters of New Mexico—have the opportunity to fire the out-of-touch career politicians and send a message that New Mexico families deserve a seat at the table. For far too long, our politicians have listened to their out-of-state donors and neglected the interests of New Mexico voters.

I believe we will see Republicans elected up and down the ballot because the average New Mexican is tired of government overreach and being “mask shamed” by our Democrat Governor. I believe that 2020 is the year New Mexico will vote our values and elect conservative leaders who will put ‘New Mexico families first.

Biden’s $4 trillion tax hike will happen unless New Mexico votes Republican in November

Joe Biden’s massive $4 trillion tax hike on Americans to finance socialized medicine, “climate change” proposals, and other far-out measures can very well become a reality, and it’s just 78 days away.

Biden’s chances of getting his socialized programs through, not to mention his far-left Supreme Court nominees through, hinges on Republicans flipping the U.S. House back to Republican Contol, keeping a Senate majority, and holding onto the White House.

The stakes of a Biden/Harris win are a coin-flip away from bringing America into full-blown socialism, and communities that have been demonized by Kamala Harris and Joe Biden, such as Catholics, will see their Constitutional freedoms evaporate out of thin air.

Flipping the House of Representatives takes just 20 seats to do that, and New Mexico’s three congressional districts, especially the Second District are in play to return to Republican hands.

1st Congressional District

Incumbent first-term Rep. Deb Haaland is as far-left as possible, voting 95% with “Squad” leader Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), 96% with anti-Semitic Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), and 97% with Ayanna Pressley (D-MA). Haaland has done everything she can while in office to show off her radical leftism, including cries for attention by attending the funeral of George Floyd and backing extreme anti-oil and gas policies proposed by the socialist “Squad.” She also called violent Antifa rioters throwing hammers at cars and pepper-spraying teenagers “peaceful protesters.” Her anti-police rhetoric and record are unmatched in her hatred for the men and women in blue, sponsoring a bill to “demilitarize” the police, her first step in defunding them altogether.

Haaland’s Republican challenger is Michelle Garcia Holmes, who is a conservative activist and former Chief of Staff at the New Mexico Attorney General’s office. She has a long career in Law Enforcement and has high marks on her conservative record. Chip in to her campaign by clicking here

2nd Congressional District

Incumbent Rep. Xochitl Torres Small is also extremely far-left, voting with Nancy Pelosi and Radical Democrats 95% of the time while trying to claim she’s “moderate.” She voted for the partisan impeachment of President Trump after admitting that it was a hoax and there was no “quid pro quo.” She also called President Trump a “racist,” voted for the anti-First Amendment “Equality Act,” which will rip away religious freedom and put men in girls’ sports, disadvantaging female athletes. As well, Torres Small praised Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s socialized “free college” proposal and voted on a partisan “universal background checks” bill on guns despite parading around as a Second Amendment advocate in her ads. This summary is just the tip fo the iceberg on her radical record, which can be read more about here

Torres Small’s Republican challenger is former state Rep. Yvette Herrell, who has high marks on her conservative record in the Legislature. She has the backing of prominent conservative leaders, including Sen. Ted Cruz, Rep. Jim Jordan, President Trump’s Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, the National Rifle Association, Susan B. Anthony’s List, among others. Chip in to her campaign by clicking here

3rd Congressional District

Democrat nominee for Congress in New Mexico’s 3rd Congressional District, Teresa Leger de Fernandez, is also cut from the same cloth as the rest of the state’s radical far-left delegation. She was the lawyer who convinced a judge to rule in favor of “ranked-choice voting” in Santa Fe’s municipal elections, enduring a democratic election was impossible. It just so happens her friend, Judge David Thomson, who ruled in her favor, was appointed to the New Mexico Supreme Court shortly thereafter. Leger de Fernandez has been showered by hundreds of thousands of dollars in dark-money support from the abortion up-to-birth group “EMILY’s List,” among others. She has the full support of Ben Ray Luján, current Rep. for the Third District, and has the “Green New Deal” at the top of her priorities if she gets to Congress. Leger de Fernandez has the endorsement of socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Leger de Fernandez’s Republican challenger is Alexis Martinez Johnson, who has the endorsement of Rep Paul Gosar (R-AZ) and has made her name known by appearing at conservative events and rallies. Chip in to her campaign here.

U.S. Senate

Ben Ray Luján, who serves as “Assistant Speaker” under Nancy Pelosi in the House of Representatives, and supports socialized health care, where citizens will have their doctors ripped away from them, as well as the Green New Deal. He has 100% rankings from abortion up-to-birth and infanticide groups NARAL and Planned Parenthood and has not passed a single bill with his name on it during his 12 years (6 terms) in Congress.

Ben Ray’s Republican challenger is Mark Ronchetti, a former television meteorologist, who handily won his primary to take on Luán in November. Donations to his campaign can be made here

The very heart and soul of New Mexico is at stake in November, and if voters elect Democrats to Congress, they can expect more witch hunts against President Trump, tax hikes, late-term abortion, liberal Supreme Court justices, and a total assault on New Mexicans’ constitutional rights to their First and Second Amendments. The choice is clear, and the stakes could not be higher to elect Republicans in November. Every single Republican needs your support in every race. Together, we can take back our state.

Pro-Trump Congressman Paul Gosar endorses Alexis Martinez Johnson for Congress

On Tuesday, U.S. House of Representatives candidate, Alexis Martinez Johnson, who is running in the Third Congressional District, announced that conservative Republican Representative and Freedom Caucus member Paul Gosar of Arizona has endorsed her run for Congress.

“Alexis Martinez Johnson is conservative, hardworking, and a patriot. My decision to endorse Alexis Martinez Johnson was an easy one. I know Alexis will be the right person for the job and will work tirelessly for New Mexico and will be an ally for conservatives in the House and President Trump,” wrote Gosar.

Gosar continued, “Elites from the east and west coast want to determine the fate of New Mexico’s elections. I want you to know that Alexis will bring true conservative representation to New Mexico’s 3rd District. Choosing to support Alexis in the General Election will help fight off the elites from the east and west coast.”

“I know a lot of people have said that New Mexico’s 3rd district is too much of a battleground seat. I have personally reviewed Alexis’s strategy for winning and met with her campaign strategists, and she can win…with your help,” wrote Gosar, giving some hope for Republicans to reclaim the District after years of Democrat rule.

Martinez Johnson will face Democrat Teresa Leger de Fernandez, a longtime leftist attorney who worked alongside the Obama Administration. Martinez Johnson is an environmental engineer and mother who says on her website, “I do not come from wealth or privilege, but through hard work I have built a life to be proud of.”

Democrat Teresa Leger de Fernandez’s donations include those of Johnathan Soros, former New MExico Lieutenant Governor Diane Denish, former U.S. Senator Jeff Bingaman, as well as dark money abortion up-to-birth groups NARAL and EMILY’s List. Over half of Leger De Fernandez’s campaign donations come from out-of-state.

Torres Small hires ex-lobbyist for Bloomberg’s anti-gun group to manage her campaign

On Wednesday evening, Rep. Xochitl Tores Small’s campaign sent out a fundraising email introducing Emma Caccamo as Torres Small’s new campaign manager. The email, which was signed by Caccamo, reads as follows:

“If we haven’t met yet, I’m Xoch’s new campaign manager Emma! I wanted to reach out today to introduce myself, and say how excited I am to be part of the team working to re-elect Xoch. I joined this team because I believe in the work you and Xoch have been doing for southern New Mexico, and because I know we’re making a difference here. This is one of the most competitive, targeted races in the entire country. The best way to keep up our fight for lower prescription drug costs, improved access to health care close to home, and all the other things we care about is to keep this seat. And on top of that, we’re making sure southern New Mexico has the voice we deserve in Congress.”

The email goes on to ask for money and to get supporters to forward the email to their friends.

Caccamo previously worked as the campaign manager on Teresa Leger de Fernandez’s race up in the 3rd Congressional District, where Leger de Fernandez won against disgraced ex-CIA operative Valerie Plame, state Rep. Joseph L. Sanchez, District 1 District Attorney Marco Sernce, and a handful of others.

During the race, Leger de Fernandez was criticized heavily by her opponents for the “dark money” abortion up-to-birth group EMILY’s List pouring tens of thousands of dollars into the race to support her. At the time, Caccamo said the campaign didn’t know “anything about any other groups and saw their ads when everybody else did.” However, EMILY’s List endorsed Leger de Fernandez, held in-person fundraisers with her and the organization’s founder, and invested heavily in the race. It’s impossible for the campaign to “not know anything about” dark money EMILY’s List’s involvement in helping sway the election toward her.

Far-left, abortion up-to-birth Rep. Xochitl Torres Small is also another benefactor of EMILY’s List, which has endorsed her for her unashamed abortion up-to-birth policies, previously when she worked for Planned Parenthood, and currently as she serves as an anti-life member of Congress.

Another issue both Teresa Leger de Fernandez and Xochitl Torres Small share in common is their unashamed pro-gun control stance. Torres Small has voted for sweeping gun restrictions while in the House, including a “universal background check” bill. Teresa Leger de Fernandez shares Torres Small’s anti-gun stances, telling the Los Alamos Daily Post, “In Congress I will vote for background checks on all gun sales, a red flag law, reinstating the assault weapons ban, and repealing PLCAA, which gives the gun industry unprecedented legal immunity.”

Torres Small’s new campaign manager, Emma Caccamo, is also a friend to gun-grabbing policies, as she worked for nearly five years, part of that time as a lobbyist, for the Michael Bloomberg’s “Everytown for Gun Safety” dark money group, which advocates for extreme, unconstitutional gun bans, such as 2020’s SB-5 in New Mexico, the “red flag” bill. The measure allows the confiscation of firearms merely under the suspicion of another person that a gun owner is “dangerous” and therefore should lose their constitutional right to bear arms and their due process rights.

Xochitl Torres Small’s former campaign manager in 2018 was Brian Sowydra, a Boston native, who currently is her Chief of Staff in Washington, D.C. Torres Small’s new campaign manager, who hails from California, is surely in-line with Torres Small’s radical far-left agenda and is another clear indicator that Torres Small will spare no expense and go to great lengths to remain in Congress to further Nancy Pelosi’s anti-gun, anti-life agenda.

Abortion up-to-birth group ‘EMILY’s List’ applauds anti-life extremists ousting pro-life Dems in primary

For Democrat female candidates, an endorsement from abortion up-to-birth dark money group EMILY’s List essentially makes them a shoo-in to win their primaries, as New Mexicans saw last Tuesday with the EMILY’s List-backed, Teresa Leger de Fernandez, as the Democrat nominee who will face pro-life Republican Alexis Martinez Johnson in the November General Election.

During an October high-dollar “happy hour” held for Leger de Fernandez in Santa Fe with EMILY’s List founder Ellen Malcolm, Martinez Johnson helped organize a peaceful protest against the anti-life organization’s event, with state Senate candidate Joey Tiano joining in the picket line.

But EMILY’s List has been working this election cycle to prop up abortion up-to-birth Democrat women to take out pro-life Democrats who went against Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s 2019 bill, HB-51, which would have legalized abortion up-to-birth for any reason, and ripped away protections for minors, and not required a board-certified doctor to perform the risky procedure.

And many of EMILY’s List’s candidates were successful, including Siah Correa Hemphill who took out appointed Democrat Sen. Gabriel Ramos in District 28, and Pam Cordova, who took out Democrat Sen. Clemente Sanchez in District 30. Other pro-life Democrats ousted by radical pro-abortion candidates included powerful Finance Committee Chairman Sen. John Arthur Smith, Senate President Pro Tem Sen. Marie Kay Papen, and Sen. Richard Martinez, who was arrested for driving under the influence in 2019.

EMILY’s List also made endorsements to candidates vying for the New Mexico House of Representatives, many of them winning their primary elections.

On Monday, EMILY’s List tweeted from their national account support for the pro-abortion candidates who took out the pro-life Democrats, writing, “New Mexico is one step closer to a pro-choice majority in the state Senate AND an all women of color U.S. House delegation!”

EMILY’s List has previously been a big supporter of Michelle Lujan Grisham during her run for the New Mexico governorship and is currently pushing for Rep. Xochitl Torres Small, who believes in abortion up-to-birth and infanticide. The organization has taken nearly a million dollars from leftist billionaire George Soros.

The 2020 November election will be a defining moment between radical abortion up-to-birth extremism and a culture of Life in the Land of Enchantment. It is unclear if the Democrats who lost their seats to anti-life extremists will back the Republicans running against their former challengers. A leftist opinion column in the Santa Fe New Mexican speculated that Sen. Clemente Sanchez may back the Republican running for District 30, who coincidentally shares his surname of Sanchez.

The Republican Party of New Mexico has gone to great lengths to recruit quality candidates for most legislative races, which will be a strong offense to the far-left Democrats in November’s General Election. After Tuesday’s Republican Primary, women of color will be running for all three congressional districts, with Michelle Garcia Holmes (CD-1) and Alexis Martinez Johnson CD-3) being of Hispanic descent and Yvette Herrell (CD-2) being of Cherokee descent.
