Fernandez, Stansbury vote for Biden’s extremist $1.9 trillion spending bill

Like clockwork, on Friday, the far-left Democrats in New Mexico’s U.S. House delegation, Reps. Teresa Leger de Fernandez (D-NM-03) and Melanie Stansbury (D-NM-01) voted with the radical Democrats for Joe Biden’s extremist spending bill, erroneously dubbed the “Build Back Better Act.”

The far-left bill, which is estimated to cost around $1.9 trillion, included $500 billion for so-called “climate change” initiatives, which are largely spent through “clean energy tax credits” to heavily subsidize failing “alternative” energy sources like wind and solar.

The bill also includes “[u]niversal preschool for all 3- and 4-year olds” and “4 weeks of federal paid parental, sick or caregiver leave,” according to CNBC among other fringe spending proposals that will cost future Americans trillions in debt.

Following the bill’s passage, far-left Sen. Ben Ray Luján, who voted for the Senate version of the bill, claimed, “With the support of Americans across this country, this historic legislation will make a difference in the lives of every community across America.” 

Rep. Yvette Herrell (R-NM-02), who did not vote for Biden’s boondoggle, wrote, “Build Back Broke will go down in history as more disastrous than ‘Too Big to Fail’ bailouts, Obamacare, and the 2016 Ghostbusters movie combined.”

Stansbury claimed on Twitter, “It’s hard to overstate how historic the BBB is for New Mexico. It will help address the climate crisis & touch every aspect of our lives from childcare to elder care, cut taxes for families, and reduce the costs of childcare, home care, education, healthcare, Rx drugs, & housing.” 

The fringe spending package, which heavily targets leftist industries, may backfire on the Democrats if it reaches final passage, just adding another feather in Republicans’ caps come election time. Democrats have already suffered electoral losses at the ballot box in 2021 and those losses are predicted to extend to 2022 and beyond.

Stansbury votes against human rights, sides with bloodthirsty communist Cuban regime

On Thursday, far-left Rep. Melanie Stansbury (D-NM-01) voted against a bipartisan resolution standing in solidarity with the Cuban people who are fighting for their freedom against their communist dictatorship. 

Human Rights Watch found that the communist Cuban regime “systematically engaged in arbitrary detention, ill-treatment of detainees, and abuse-ridden criminal prosecutions in response to overwhelmingly peaceful anti-government protests in July 2021.”

The House passed the resolution in a 382-40 vote, “with all 40 votes against it coming from Democrats,” according to The Hill.

The resolution said it was focused on “expressing solidarity with Cuban citizens demonstrating peacefully for fundamental freedoms, condemning the Cuban regime’s acts of repression, and calling for the immediate release of arbitrarily detained Cuban citizens.”

But for Stansbury, a far-left extremist, who votes along the same vein as “Squad” members Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-NY) and Ilhan Omar (D-MN), the commonsense resolution of solidarity opposing a bloodthirsty communist failed state’s treatment of citizens, was not something she could support.

Stansbury has been known for racist statements toward minorities, specifically Dinè people. She told displaced Navajo energy workers to go “sell your art or your wool” instead of having good-paying energy jobs. 

Stansbury already has one Republican 2022 challenger, Michelle Garcia Holmes, and more candidates may emerge following Stansbury’s extreme votes. During the special election which put Stansbury in Congress, her statements in support of anti-police groups like “Black Lives Matter” were front-and-center.

Michelle Garcia Holmes announces candidacy for CD-1

On Saturday, Republican Michelle Garcia Holmes, a former law enforcer and congressional candidate announced her candidacy for the First Congressional District to challenge incumbent Rep. Melanie Stansbury who won a special election by defeating Republican nominee Mark Moores. 

Holmes has 30 years of experience as a commissioned law enforcement officer. She served as chief of staff for Attorney General Gary King and says she “is a strong advocate for children and families.”

“I have a solid life long record of fighting for New Mexico’s citizens.  I will be a leader who listens – one with the vision to make the changes we need – and someone who will not quit fighting to support working families, our business community, our veterans and seniors.  The people of New Mexico will be my number one priority,” she said in a press release.

Garcia Holmes touts her work for the Attorney General’s office, where she “oversaw cross-cultural projects to educate New Mexicans on the dangers of methamphetamine. She also worked on collaborative efforts to fight government corruption, starting New Mexico’s first Government Accountability Division.  Garcia Holmes also worked to pass New Mexico’s first anti-human trafficking law and tougher Child Pornography laws,” the candidate declared.

“We need to get past pandemic shutdowns. Let’s focus on addressing our State’s economic needs; let’s fight the crime wave that has overwhelmed us. Let’s embrace the value of a hard day’s work, just like our parents did. I will work hard to make New Mexico safe and economically strong,” she said.

“I am running for Congress because we need leaders in Washington who will support our seniors and Veterans. The present leadership is out of touch with our citizens’ needs. I will bring people together and get us moving in the right direction,” she added.

Garcia Holmes is the first Republican to throw their hat in the ring to challenge Stansbury. Stansbury is a far-left extremist who demeaned Native Americans, telling displaced Dinè workers to go “sell your art or your wool.” Stansbury supports defunding the police, crippling the economy with the Green New Deal, full-term abortion, among other extremist views.

Radical pro-abortion Dems cry on Twitter about life-saving Texas law

On Wednesday, Texas’ Heartbeat Bill became law, effectively banning all abortions after a heartbeat is detected in the state. Following the victory for human life, far-left politicians who have taken tens of thousands from the late-term abortion lobby over the years screamed on social media about the supposed “injustice” of not being able to execute full-term babies in the Lone Star State.

New Mexico politicians joined in on the pro-abortion lobby’s lamentations. 

Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, who paid off a staffer $62,500 for allegedly grabbing his crotch, claimed on Twitter, “Access to health care is in grave danger in Texas and across the country. Here in NM, we know women deserve the right to make their own healthcare decisions — and that’s why we’ve protected those rights.” Lujan Grisham erroneously claims abortion is “health care” and signed an extreme abortion up-to-birth and infanticide bill into law.

She used the Texas bill to fundraise, sharing a link to her donation page with the comment that she’s “stood up for women and the right to choose my entire career.” 

Rep. Teresa Leger de Fernandez (D-NM-03) wrote on Twitter, “It’s unacceptable that SCOTUS allowed such a dangerous & extreme abortion bans (sic) to take effect in Texas.” She added, “We must immediately act to codify Roe & pass the Women’s Health Protection Act to protect abortion rights. Abortion care is a personal decision & a fundamental right.” 

It is unclear where in the Constitution or in the medical code of ethics Leger de Fernandez sees the “right” to execute babies in the womb. It is also unclear how she believes banning an elective procedure to kill a baby in the womb is “dangerous” or “extreme.” Most believe the opposite, according to polls. 

Rep. Melanie Stansbury (D-NM-01) wrote on Twitter, “Let’s be clear. Abortion bans endanger the health, self-determination, opportunities & well-being of our communities—especially BIPOC & low-income communities. That’s why I’m supporting the #WomensHealthProtectionAct. Congress must act.  #ProtectRoevsWade.” 

Stansbury apparently believes that “BIPOC” or “Black, Indigenous, People of Color,” and low-income Americans’ well-being is determined by how many of their babies are killed in the womb. Previously, Stansbury told Native American (Indigenous) people displaced from their high-paying jobs that they should just “sell your art or your wool.” Stansbury clearly has revamped this racist rhetoric to push abortions on minority communities through the extreme “Women’s Health Protection Act,” which would allow the execution of many more babies in the womb in the United States. 

Now, as the pro-abortion extremists scream about them not being able to kill full-term children in Texas, New Mexico’s radical abortion bill has encouraged “abortion tourism” from out-of-state for mothers to kill their babies in New Mexico at any time in pregnancy. Southwestern Women’s Options allows babies to be killed up to and after 32 weeks in pregnancy while some babies have made it out of the womb and been killed on the delivery room table. Many women, including Keisha Atkins, have died from these dangerous abortion procedures.

Far-left Dem ballot harvester seeks appointment to Stansbury’s vacated legislative seat

Far-left establishment Democrat operative Pamelya Herndon, who also serves as a caucus chair for the Democrat Party of New Mexico, is seeking appointment by the Bernalillo County Commission to be the next state representative to the New Mexico House District 28 seat vacated by Rep. Melanie Stansbury, who was sworn into Congress this week.

During a 2020 closed-door fundraising call for Ben Ray Luján and Xochitl Torres Small, Herndon revealed that she was organizing people to harvest absentee ballots from senior citizens, a tactic that has contributed to voter fraud. 

She said on the call, “Go by and talk to your senior citizens. See if those ballots have been put in the mail, and if not, pick it up and take it to a polling location… you can take at least one absentee ballot for a member of your family to a polling location. We want every ballot counted, Congressman [Ben Ray Luján] because we want to see that you and Xochitl Torres Small and everybody on that ballot for the Democratic Party gets elected.”

New Mexico doesn’t require a “witness” when filling out an absentee ballot, which makes it just that much easier for fraud to sneak in. According to the Daily Signal, “Previously, New Mexico required the signature of a witness as well as the voter on an absentee ballot. However, in 1993, the state Legislature passed a law removing that requirement.”

Herndon also testified as an “expert witness” on extreme far-left bills during the 2021 Legislative Session, including one to harm small businesses by hiking the minimum wage to $15 per hour, a policy championed by socialists like U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).

Now, Herndon, who has also advocated for other far-left Democrat party-line policies, claims she is the best one for the job, while she is likely to try to hide her radicalism in the moderate district, which has traditionally gone to Republicans in the past. Her top priorities, according to her website, are “social justice” and “civil rights.”

Herndon will face Democrat competition from a prostitute and “jello shot girl” going by the name “Bunni Benton Cruse,” who is also seeking the spot. 

Cruse, who openly has a “conviction” for prostitution, would not be the first controversial figure to seek public office. State Rep. Roger Montoya (D-Colfax, Mora, Rio Arriba & San Miguel), who was endorsed by Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham in 2020, was a porn actor before running for his state legislative seat.

Liberal group warns that CD-1 blowout win is not a bellwether for Democrats

On Tuesday, the liberal group “Progressive Majority PAC” sounded the alarm about New Mexico’s First Congressional District June 1st blowout win for Democrats and how it should not be a bellwether to determine how liberals will do in 2022.

The group noted how the Republican nominee, state Sen. Mark Moores, lost to epic proportions, getting an 8% lower vote total than Deb Haaland during her 2020 run for the seat she vacated. 

The PAC noted that “This district has trended towards the Democrats in recent years and isn’t the best example of tougher purple districts we need to win in 2022 to expand our House majority.” 

It also noted how “New Mexico is controlled by Democrats” and the voter fraud efforts in the state by liberals have not been hampered by Republicans, such as in states like Florida or Georgia where voter laws have made it easier to vote but harder to cheat. 

Progressive Majority PAC wrote that the institution of these anti-fraud laws “will make it even harder for Democrats to compete on an even playing field.” 

Moores’ blowout loss is closely tied not as much with fraud as it is with voters being disenfranchised by the closed-door primary comprised of a couple of hundred people and not the entire GOP electorate in the First District. 

That mixed with Moores’ votes with radical Democrats on things like the Green New Deal and his hollow campaign messaging all contributed to Moores’ monumental loss to socialist Melanie Stansbury. 

On Tuesday, RINO has-beens spilled their guts to the liberal Washington, D.C. paper POLITICO trying to criticize President Trump for Moores’ embarrassing loss. Naturally, the hit piece fell flat among Republicans.

Moderate Moores walloped by socialist Stansbury in CD-1, teaches big lesson to GOP

On Tuesday, state Sen. Mark Moores (R-Bernalillo) lost decisively to socialist state Rep. Melanie Stansbury (R-Bernalillo) in the First District race to replace Deb Haaland after a lackluster campaign. Most news outlets reported the massive loss only about an hour after precincts closed.

Moores’ defeat proved that moderate Republicans chosen in a closed process by a couple of hundred people (instead of the entire electorate) cannot and will not win elections in New Mexico, at least with a limp message of supposed “bipartisanship” and the refusal even to utter “America First” or President Donald J. Trump’s name.

It also didn’t help that “insiders” (those who voted for Moores in the closed-door primary) knew full well that Moores voted for far-left Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s job-crushing “Green New Deal” and devastating trapping ban bills but still lent their support to him in the convention.

Melanie Stansbury is a radical’s radical—one of the most extreme far-left members of the New Mexico state House imaginable. She has voted to the extreme left on every single issue, from environmental bills to education initiatives and abortion, she has been on the fringe. Her comments toward displaced Navajo workers telling them to just “sell your art or your wool” would have resonated with moderate voters who are not okay with racism, no matter how casual it may appear.

But Moores didn’t even touch on a single one of those key issues that directly impact New Mexicans. All he could talk about was Stansbury’s support for the “BREATHE Act,” which lets incarcerated criminals back on the street and defunds police. While he was 100% correct on this issue, he was a one-issue candidate with no substance other than that he supposedly “stands tall” for New Mexico while not showing anything to back up his hollow and over-used rhetoric.

The only time he mentioned Melanie Stansbury’s support for eco-Marxist proposals was when he sent emails to supporters (who are already on his side) telling them that Stansbury backs the Green New Deal, even though Moores voted for that very thing—complete hypocrisy.

It is a shame that the GOP convention delegates let the guy out of the primary, to begin with, and with 2022 on the horizon (and a REAL primary in the works), “moderate” Republicans in the state House should watch their backs because TRUE Republicans are coming for their seats. And no amount of darkroom dealings can stop the Red Wave from sweeping across the state and wiping every RINO “Republican In Name Only” clean out of the state’s lower chamber.

Moderate, weak, and spineless Republicans who will say whatever they think they need to win an election do not win elections and only make people who are forced to vote for them in general elections look like fools. RINOs bring ZERO excitement, ZERO trust, and ZERO electability to the table. Moores’ blowout loss was an irresponsible waste of an opportunity for a GOP pickup. Hopefully, it will be a lesson for New Mexico that moderates lose and keep voters home.

Even with the massive fraud in New Mexico elections, Republicans who can build momentum can overcome the fraud to win. Just look at people in extremely competitive districts like Republican state Rep. Stefani Lord. She had a tough election fight, but she did not sway in the wind like a Moores. She stuck to her pro-gun, pro-life, pro-Trump convictions. Despite the closeness of her race, she annihilated a well-funded Democrat who now sits as the Chair of the Democrat Party of New Mexico, Jessica Velasquez. And Rep. Lord did not swing to the “middle” when she got to the House. She stuck to her convictions and voted against radical bills, even if many of the limp “Republicans” voted along with the Democrats and admitted defeat.

Strong Republicans win elections (even in competitive districts) and RINOs lose. Take those words to the bank in 2022 and prepare for a Red Wave come next November. It’s time to clean the swamp.

Moores lost in the final vote numbers by 24 points, garnering 36% to Stansbury’s 60%, a larger margin of failure than 2020 for the Republicans in the District.

Special Election Day in CD-1: What you need to know before you vote

It’s Election Day in New Mexico’s First Congressional District to fill Democrat ex-Rep. Deb Haaland’s seat following her abdication to work at the Department of the Interior, and here’s what you have to know: 

Liberal news outlets and pundits have touted the race in the Democrat-leaning district as a “big first test” for Democrats, with cash coming into the state from the deepest crevices in the Washington, D.C. swamp for the Democrats’ nominee, state Rep. Melanie Stansbury.

According to OpenSecrets, large out-of-state organizations, including the sexist abortion up-to-birth and infanticide group EMILY’s List contributed $11,000 to Stansbury’s war chest. Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) PAC donated $10,000 to the Democrat, while the fringe leftist group “Elect Democratic Women” chipped in $15,000. 

Stansbury made the racist statement toward displaced Navajo energy workers, telling them to just “sell you art or your wool” to pay the bills. She also has been in the D.C. area for the better part of the last 20 years despite her claims she is in touch with New Mexicans. Despite the backlash over Stansbury’s racism, Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, Rep. Adam Schiff, and some state legislators have thrown their support behind the extreme candidate. 

According to state Sen. Mark Moores, the Republican nominee for the congressional race, “Stansbury’s original House Personal Financial Disclosure listed her as a “consultant” and receiving at least $5,000 for the TerraMar Project in Woburn MA (1). The TerraMar Project was founded by Jeffrey Epstein’s madame Ghislaine Maxwell who is currently on trial for sex trafficking teenagers.”

Stansbury is also a large proponent of the “BREATHE Act,” which defunds the police and lets dangerous incarcerated criminals back on the streets to ravage communities. 

Mark Moores is a long-time moderate Albuquerque-area legislator who won his primary election, like Stansbury, through a closed-door convention of delegates. He has been strong on some issues, including the right to life. However, he did vote for Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s Green New Deal, also known as the “Energy Transition Act” and he voted for a trapping ban on public lands to the ire of rural New Mexico, among other bad measures.

Despite his flaws, he is much more conservative than independent longshot perennial candidate Aubrey Dunn, who has focused his campaign on hating President Donald J. Trump, and libertarian Chris Manning who lives hundreds of miles outside of the First District.

Democrats are trying to hype up this race, which leans Democrat, in order to boost their public image following multiple runoff election losses in races across the country this year. They are marketing CD-1 as a bellwether despite its large lean to the left to save face. There is a chance Republican Moores can win, although the early voting totals released by the Secretary of State’s office lean in the Democrat direction.

On Saturday, embattled Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, Sen. Ben Ray Luján, far-left Democrat state legislators, and others held a canvassing event for fringe Democrat state Rep. Melanie Stansbury who is running in Tuesday’s special election to fill New Mexico’s First District seat vacated by Deb Haaland who left for the Department of the Interior. 

Melanie Stansbury has come under fire for her racist anti-Navajo statements, telling displaced Diné workers to just sell “your art or your wool” after Democrats have decimated their jobs with extreme “green” legislation. 

Despite that, Deb Haaland, Joe Biden, Michelle Lujan Grisham, Ben Ray Luján, and other Democrat officials, such as state Rep. Javier Martinez (D-Bernalillo) and state Sen. Linda Lopez (D-Bernalillo),  have flocked to support her despite her alienation of Native American communities. 

On Twitter, Luján Grisham wrote, “Today we launched canvasses across #NM01. The special election to keep this district blue is on June 1st and we need your help to ensure we send @MelanieforNM to Congress.” 

“Thank you, Rep. Melanie Stansbury, Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham & Cong. Pete Aguilar for energizing Westside voters for the final stretch of the CD1 special election! If you haven’t voted yet, today’s voting ends at 7 pm. Tues., June 1, polls are open from 7 am-7pm,” wrote state Rep. Joy Garratt.

“In our beloved south valley with our next Congresswoman, @MelanieforNM!” wrote state Rep. Martinez.

On Tuesday, former vice president Joe Biden announced his support for far-left Democrat state Rep. Melanie Stansbury in the June 1st special election to replace Deb Haaland in the First Congressional District, who left the job to work at the Department of the Interior.

Biden said in a statement, “As a scientist and state legislator that works on land, water and community issues, Melanie Stansbury has fought for New Mexico her entire career.” He added, “I am proud to endorse Melanie for Congress because I know she has the grit and determination to deliver real results for all New Mexicans.”

Stansbury has been a Washington, D.C. staffer for the last nearly twenty years, moving to New Mexico in 2017 to run for a state House seat and consulting on the side for many eyebrow-raising outfits.

According to state Sen. According to the Albuquerque Journal, Haaland and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) have also endorsed Stansbury for the congressional race. She also has the full support of “Russian collusion” conspiracy theorist Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA).

Politico reported on Wednesday that Kamala Harris’ husband Doug Emhoff will join Stansbury to campaign ahead of the Tuesday special election, which is projected to be too close for comfort for Democrats.
