Democrat gerrymandering ends in win for anti-police Gabe Vasquez

On Wednesday afternoon, Democrat Gabe Vasquez declared victory in New Mexico’s Second Congressional District race against incumbent Republican Rep. Yvette Herrell, who has held the seat since 2021.

Rep. Herrell wrote the following in a concession statement:

While we are disappointed by the final results, I am incredibly proud of our team and the work we did serving our district, and I am grateful for the steadfast support of so many who helped us along the way. I’d also like to congratulate Gabe Vasquez on his victory.

Two years ago, the Democrats in Santa Fe announced they would gerrymander our district to ensure they would totally control our state’s federal delegation. Unfortunately, they did just that, ignoring the will of the people in the process by splitting up communities of interest and concentrating power in urban areas at the expense of rural New Mexico voices. While this was enough to give them a victory by less than 1% in this election, I am confident in our party’s ability to retake this seat next cycle as Joe Biden’s agenda continues to damage our great nation. Stay tuned!

Vasquez, who was hand-picked by Democrat Sen. Martin Heinrich, who lives in Maryland, to run for the seat, only won due to Democrats’ aggressive partisan gerrymandering of New Mexico’s congressional map, which is currently pending in court. The map totally disregarded communities of interest and cut major chunks of the formerly conservative district into others, leaving three Democrat-dominated districts.

During the redistricting process, Democrat groups paid activists to show up at Citizens Redistricting Committee meetings and spew leftist propaganda to push for gerrymandered maps. The Democrat-controlled Legislature ultimately chucked out all the work of the supposed “nonpartisan” committee and instead just rammed through extreme partisan maps for political gain.

If the case is won by the Republican Party, it would switch the district back to the compact, non-gerrymandered previous maps, which had one central Albuquerque District and the northern and southern districts, the north leaning Democrat, while the south leaning Republican.

The move was pushed by Democrat soon-to-be former New Mexico House Speaker, who was accused of using his power to ram through nakedly partisan maps via a dark money group, the Center for Civic Policy.

As of Tuesday night, Vasquez and Herrell both were tied at 50 percent, with the Democrat narrowly leading by 1,277 votes.

The loss in the Second District comes as national Democrats, including U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, dunked tons of cash into the race to help Vasquez cross the finish. Polls in the race consistently showed a nearly tied contest.

Vasquez is a rabid opponent of the police, who backed “deconstructing” and defunding police departments. He supports full-term abortion, the Green New Deal, and a whole swath of other extremist left-wing policies.

Dems forced to discount tickets to fundraiser honoring cop hater Gabe Vasquez

In an embarrassing turn, the Democrat Party of New Mexico (DPNM) are now being forced to heavily discount tickets to their 2022 “Rising Star” awards event happening Saturday. DPNM is slashing prices for general admission tickets from $100 each to $50.

The dinner will honor far-left cop hater Gabe Vasquez, the Democrats’ nominee for the Second Congressional District in southern New Mexico.

In the original invite from September 3, the Democrats wrote, “Don’t miss your opportunity to meet Gabe, the all-woman Las Cruces City Council, and special guest – Jessica Cisneros, Immigration and Civil Rights attorney who catapulted to progressive prominence for running an inspirational congressional campaign in Texas earlier in 2022.”

Cisneros is the socialist who failed twice in a run for Congress against more moderate Democrat Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX). Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), the far-left “Justice Democrats,” and others recruited and endorsed her two failed runs for the seat. Despite that, she is being lauded by DPNM as a “stupendous ‘rising star’ in her own right.”

The dinner will also feature “performances by ballet dancer Than Povi, Latin Pop musician Buddy Abeyta, Jazz musician Tracey Whitney, Zia Queens breakdance crew, and the Atrisco Heritage High School Mariachi Group.”

Previous honorees include one-term Rep. Xochitl Torres Small, who lost reelection in the Second District, to Republican Congresswoman Yvette Herrell, who Vasquez is now running against.

With prices being heavily slashed, it appears the Democrats are having trouble funding the event with willing participants, with the Party stressing that “Rising Star is how we are able to fund our most important Democratic initiatives and support our candidates throughout the year.”

Gabe Vasquez outed as cowardly cop hater

A new report from the Washington Free Beacon exposes Democrat congressional nominee Gabe Vasquez in New Mexico’s Second District for his cowardly anti-cop comments during the Black Lives Matter/Antifa unrest in 2020.

The report notes, “During a June 2020 Black Lives Matter protest in Las Cruces, N.M., a local reporter interviewed one attendee who furiously expressed his desire to defund police. ‘We need serious police reform in this country,’ the man said over chants of ‘no justice, no peace.’ ‘It’s not just about defunding police, it’s about defunding a system that privileges white people over everyone else.’ While the interviewee—who shielded much of his face in a hat, neck gaiter, and sunglasses—identified himself as ‘James Hall,’ a ‘Las Cruces resident,’ the facial features he did show bore a curious resemblance to then-city council member Gabe Vasquez.”

“That’s because the interviewee was, in fact, Vasquez, a former city official who monitored the protest told the Free Beacon. Contemporaneous evidence reviewed by the Free Beacon, meanwhile, supports the assertion. Vasquez tweeted live from the event on June 6, 2020, sharing first-person photos accompanied with the hashtags ‘BlackLivesMattters [sic]’ and ‘Las Cruces.’ Six months later, Vasquez shared a photo that showed him sporting the same distinct, teal-and-orange neck gaiter he wore in the interview.”

Vasquez “quietly” deleted all the evidence tying him to the cop-hating, police-defunding comments made under a false name.

The Democrat, who is aiming to unseat GOP Congresswoman Yvette Herrell, did not return the Free Beacon’s request for comment for obvious reasons.

Vasquez, who has often lobbed inflammatory rhetoric toward Herrell, erroneously calling her an “extremist,” has proven to be an extremist himself due to his previous radical statements calling America “AmeriKKKa.”

As we previously reported

In June, during the George Floyd protests, Vasquez once again claimed the United States is systemically racist and the “systems” (referring to police) are “built on oppression. He wrote, “Black lives matter. Until we deconstruct and rebuild the systems of oppression that keep black people in perpetual harm, justice will not be served. That includes law enforcement, the economy, and the disgusting wealth inequality that keeps white rich men in power.”

Vasquez’s campaign is heavily funded by the likes of Nancy Pelosi, other leftist members of Congress, and even DUI-charged state Rep. Georgene Lous, who is retiring due to the politically cancerous scandal.

Schiff to headline ‘virtual’ fundraiser for Toulouse Oliver, Vasquez

On Monday, the Democrat Party of New Mexico (DPNM) announced that far-left U.S. Reps. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Jamie Raskin (D-MD) would headline a “virtual” fundraiser Wednesday along with dark money George Soros group League of Conservation Voters on behalf of Democrats Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver and Gabe Vasquez, who is running for Congress in the Second Congressional District.

DPNM added that Reps. Melanie Stansbury of the First District and Teresa Leger Fernandez of the Third District would also be in attendance to raise cash for the far-left candidates.

The leftist congressional representatives are joining the event put together by a radical group called “The Next 50,” which attempts to elect candidates who support “justice, equity, and opportunity for all.”

Regarding Vasquez, the group openly admits that gerrymandering allowed the Second District to be more attainable for Democrats this year, writing, “Due to redistricting, NM-02 is in play again.” Vasquez is a known anti-American radical who thinks the United States is a racist nation. Yet, now he wants to serve in the U.S. Congress.

The group wrote regarding Toulouse Oliver, “We cannot take any secretary of state seat for granted, especially in a year that Democrats are facing headwinds and in a state that had a Republican governor as recently as 2018.”

Toulouse Oliver supports radical policies to remove protections from New Mexico’s election system that will implement more fraud into the state’s voting processes. She has taken money from dark money groups, including the League of Conservation Voters, despite claiming to be against dark money.

Schiff peddled conspiracy theories about the 2016 election and was a main player in the “Russia Hoax,” which resulted in no findings of so-called “collusion” between President Donald Trump and Russians.

Also dubbed “Little Pencil Neck” by Trump, Schiff was one of the masterminds behind the two impeachment hoaxes that both exonerated Trump from wrongdoing.

Gabe Vasquez brags about Dem gerrymandering for political gain

On Monday, far-left Gabe Vasquez, the Democrat nominee for Congress in the Second Congressional District, sent out a press release bragging about the Democrats’ partisan gerrymandered maps making it easier for a leftist to reclaim the Second District from Republican incumbent U.S. Rep. Yvette Herrell.

Vasquez, in a press release, wrote regarding a new Democrat-funded poll that shows him leading by one point, “The poll was conducted by Global Strategy Group and shared exclusively to National Journal Hotline, which noted that, after redistricting, … Republican Herrell is one of the most vulnerable Republican members in the country.”

“Redistricting moved the 2nd Congressional district from a Trump +12 to Biden +6 district and that is reflected in these results,” it concludes.

The Democrats rammed through maps drawn by the left-wing dark money group “Center for Civic Policy” (CCP), which gerrymandered New Mexico’s congressional districts to favor Democrats and steal the voice of conservatives, especially those living in the Second District.

The gerrymandered CCP map segregates the South Valley of Albuquerque into the Second District and lumps a large chunk of Albuquerque into a strange district that sprawls all the way to Roswell. The strange shape of the districts also lumps Hobbs with communities like Española and Santa Fe, which have astronomically different cultures and needs. The snake-like figures in the Democrats’ gerrymander denote signs of extreme partisan redistricting for political gain.

But despite that, Vasquez is bragging about the partisan ploy to steal back the Second District by hook or by crook. The map is currently in litigation.

Vasquez believes the United States is a racist country, believes in abortion up-to-birth, and supports sweeping socialist policies, such as the destructive Green New Deal.

FEC reports: Pelosi, disgraced state Rep. Georgene Louis donate big to Vasquez

Federal Election Commission reports recently hit for candidates running for U.S. House. We analyzed the donations and expenses of all three Democrat nominees. Here’s how much money they raised and spent in the second quarter.

Rep. Melanie Stansbury of New Mexico’s First Congressional District brought in a total of $136,878.94. Her donors include the Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians ($2,900), the Solar Energy Industries Association PAC ($1,000), the George Soros-funded League of Conservation Voters Action Fund ($40), Ted Lieu for Congress ($1,000 – Democrat U.S. representative from California), Progressive Majority PAC ($1,000), Democrat Santa Fe-area state Sen. Liz Stefanics ($250), and Democrat Santa Fe-area state Sen. Peter Wirth ($500).

Stansbury spent $60,190.06 in the second quarter, most of her expenses being donations to other far-left Democrats’ political committees. Those included $500 donations to Tony Vargas for Congress (NE), Caraveo for Congress (CO), Scholten for Congress (MI), Susan Wild for Congress (PA), Christina Bohannan for Congress (IA), Sharice for Congress (KS), Jay Chen for Congress (CA), Rudy Salas for Congress (CA), Emilia Sykes for Congress (OH), Nevadans for Steven Horsford (NV), and Brittany Pettersen for Colorado (CO).

The far-left Democrat also gave $1,000 to Gabe Vasquez, running for New Mexico’s Second Congressional District, $1,000 to incumbent Rep. Teresa Leger Fernandez of New Mexico’s Third Congressional District, and $1,500 to state Rep. Andrea Romero of Santa Fe.

Rep. Leger Fernandez raised a grand total of $350,702.25 in the reporting period. Her donors included End Citizens United PAC ($5,000), Bringing Everyone Together Through Advocacy PAC ($3,000), AIPAC ($2,900), Santa Fe attorney and former congressional candidate Rani McGinn ($2,900), the Pueblo of Isleta ($2,800), “Game of Thrones” author George R.R. Martin ($1,500), Veronica Escobar for Congress ($1,000 – Texas), The Wilderness Society Action Fund PAC ($1,000), Jamie Raskin for Congress ($2,000 – Maryland), NRDC Action Fund Inc., PAC ($1,000), LRA PAC ($1,000), Indivisible Action ($1,000), Castro for Congress ($1,000 – Texas), Mohegan Tribe of Indians of Connecticut ($1,000), former U.S. Sen. Jeff Bingaman ($1,000), state Sen. Peter Wirth and his wife, Nancy ($1,000 combined), and Albuquerque late-term abortionist Curtis Boyd’s wife, Glenna Halverson-Boyd ($1,000).

Leger Fernandez’s expenses totaled $57,855.56, with payments of $3,201.83 to partisan operative Kyra Ellis-Moore, consulting fees to Elections in Motion for $9,708.75, and MRM & Co. for $3,500, among other expenses. The far-left congresswoman also spent a lot on food, with a payment of $281.00 to District Taco and $233.60 to Chopsmith, both restaurants in Washington, D.C. She is left with $1,219,829.45 cash-on-hand.

Extreme far-left candidate for New Mexico’s Second Congressional District, Gabe Vasquez, raised a total of $411,876.96 in the reporting period, with help from Democrat U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi ($2,000) Ted Lieu for Congress ($4,000), House Majority PAC ($10,000), Elect More Democrats PAC ($1,000), PAC to the Future ($5,000), Veronica Escobar for Congress ($1,000), Progressive Turnout PAC ($1,000), and former U.S. Sen. Jeff Bingaman and Cynthia Bingaman ($1,250 combined).

Vasquez also received a $1,500 donation from disgraced state Rep. Georgene Louis (D-Albuquerque), who was arrested and charged for driving while under the influence. She was the subject of an ethics complaint for using her office for personal gain by noting how she was a legislator during the encounter with police.

Vasquez spent a massive amount on polling, with a $44,000 disbursement to the New York City-based Global Strategy Group. He also spent big on printing, with disbursements of $19,165.18 and $17,906.52 to the Arlington, Virginia-based Deliver Strategies LLC. His total expenditures for the period came to $145,278.13, leaving him with $623,230.37 cash-on-hand. Vasquez is endorsed by the abortion up-to-birth group NARAL.

Notably, the finance reports show tighter races in the Second and Third Congressional Districts due to the volume of donations and expenditures, while Stansbury looks more comfortable due to her large number of contributions to other Democrat candidates and not her own race as much. In Vasquez’s race, the establishment Democrat machine has clearly noticed the race as a pickup opportunity, and Pelosi has put her full power behind flipping the seat back to Democrat control. Incumbent U.S. Rep. Yvette Herrell, however, has strong allies who will pour much money into the state to keep her in the House.

Pedophile-linked Lincoln Project targets GOP Rep. Herrell: Report

According to Alex Ross of the Roswell Daily Record, the disgraced pedophile-linked fake “Republican” group the Lincoln Project has conservative Republican Congresswoman Yvette Herrell (NM-CD-2) on its “preliminary list” of Republicans it is trying to target in 2022.

Ross writes, “Spokesperson for Lincoln Project told me today they are ‘finalizing’ the House Republicans they hope to target in 2022, but say Yvette Herrell of #NM02 is ‘on our preliminary list.’ Herrell last November unseated Democrat Xochitl Torres Small 54 to 46%.”

He added, “Herrell has been one of [President] Trump’s most ardent supporters in Congress, voting against certifying the election results in states Biden won in an attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. Trump also carried #NM02 by a large margin.”

The Lincoln Project has been dubbed the “Pedophile Project” by Donald Trump, Jr. after the group’s co-founder John Weaver reportedly harassed nearly two dozen underaged boys, one young man saying the sexual messages started when he was 14. The group is also known for widely condemned media stunts, such as in Virginia’s gubernatorial election where it paid actors dressed as racist Charlottesville protesters to erroneously claim support for Republican Glenn Youngkin. Despite the desperate ploy, Youngkin won the election.

Now, the scandal-plagued D.C. group is attempting to get back on its feet after its fall from grace by helping out radical leftist Democrats to attempt to unseat Herrell.

But Congresswoman Herrell responded, “Bring it on! I’m proud to be a true conservative representing our New Mexico values, and I won’t back down.”

It appears the hand-selected choice of the radical New Mexico Democrat Party for the Second District is Gabe Vasquez, a Trump-hating social justice keyboard warrior and Las Cruces City Councilor who believes the United States is “deeply rooted” in “white supremacy.” He has already snagged many of New Mexico’s high-profile endorsements, including that of Democrat Sen. Martin Heinrich. He is also endorsed by porn actor-turned Democrat state Rep. Roger Montoya.
Herrell is asking donors to help her combat the left-wing extremism of the Lincoln Project by donating here.

Rep. Yvette Herrell crushes Democrat opponent in fundraising by 700%

According to the latest Federal Election Commission reports, Congresswoman Yvette Herrell (R-NM-2) is crushing her Democrat opponent Gave Vasquez in with her fundraising numbers.

The reports show that donors poured $500,192.70 into Herrell’s war chest between July 15 and September 30.

During that timeframe, Herrell’s campaign spent $218,338.24 and closed the period with nearly one million dollars — $980,687.50 — cash on hand.

The Roswell Daily Record reports, “The latest figures bring Herrell’s total fundraising haul since January to $1.3 million, more than seven times what Gabriel Vasquez has received in contributions. A Las Cruces city councilor, Vasquez last month became the first Democrat to enter the race. Reports state he received $70,182.50, and had $9,281.53 in expenditures. He finished the fundraising cycle with $60,900.97 in his campaign account.”

According to the report, The House Freedom Fund, a fundraising arm of the House Freedom Caucus, has already spent $219,146.59 in support of Herrell.

Vasquez has the endorsement of far-left Sen. Martin Heinrich and other left-wing party leaders. He is a fringe Democrat who believes America is a racist nation.

Trump-hating socialist who thinks America is a racist country running in CD-2

On Wednesday, Gabe Vasquez, a far-left city councilor in Las Cruces, announced he is running for Congress in New Mexico’s Second Congressional District to challenge incumbent Republican Congresswoman Yvette Herrell.

Vasquez is a known socialist who is diametrically opposed to most values held by the district — values that ex-Rep. Xochitl Torres Small — tried to use to sway moderates. He is a far-left rabid partisan with some of the most extreme far-left views available.

Vasquez believes President Donald Trump’s southern border wall is an “insult” and he believes in the naturalization of criminal aliens into New Mexico.

Vasquez claimed that because President Trump was not convicted during the Democrats’ second impeachment inquisition in February, that the country is “deeply rooted” in “white supremacy.” With words like this, it is hard to see how any voters of President Trump would ever consider a vote for Vasquez, as some may have voted for Torres Small.

Vasquez even went so far as to claim Trump, his supporters, and his “enablers” were terrorists toward immigrants.

In an unhinged op-ed, Vasquez even claimed his opponent, Congresswoman Yvette Herrell, should be “expelled.”

Vasquez’s extreme rhetoric appears not only out of step with the norms of the District but of New Mexico. Herrell’s leadership on multiple issues — despite being in the minority — shows her willingness to compromise, such as sending letters to Kamala Harris and Joe Biden. Vasquez on the other hand appears to be a rabid partisan with not much to offer other than constant hatred for President Trump and Congresswoman Herrell.
