Tuesday is the New Mexico March for Life in Albuquerque

On Tuesday, pro-life New Mexicans will gather in Albuquerque for New Mexico’s March for Life one year after pro-abortion Democrats in the state Legislature rammed through bills creating abortion up-to-birth in New Mexico and legalizing physician-assisted suicide via lethal drug cocktails.

The pro-life event will be a collaboration of national and local speakers marching for the most important right to life in New Mexico. Abby Johnson will be the keynote speaker. She is a national pro-life leader who grabbed headlines after she left her job at Planned Parenthood to promote life. Also joining the march will be Alex Schadenberg of the national Euthanasia Prevention Coalition.

Other speakers include Mark Cavalier of the Southwest Coalition for Life, Mike Seibel of Abortion on Trial, Elisa Martinez of the New Mexico Alliance for Life, as well as pro-life Republican candidates for governor state Rep. Rebecca Dow (R-Truth or Consequences) and Ethel Maharg, the executive director of the Right to Life Committee of New Mexico.

On Tuesday morning, pro-lifers will gather at Planned Parenthood abortion facility at 9:00 a.m. where Abby Johnson is set to begin her day, and then at 10:00 a.m., pro-lifers will go to Southwestern Women’s Options, another late-term abortion mill in Albuquerque.

Then at 1:00 p.m., the official event with speakers will take place at Legacy Church Eastside at 4701 Wyoming Blvd., Albuquerque, NM 87109. The march will take place at 3:30 p.m. at Academy Trail. Parking will be on the northeast side of Hoffmantown Church NE located at 8888 Harper Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111.

Harry Montoya, the pro-life Republican candidate for state treasurer, will be speaking at and leading the march. For more information about the New Mexico March for Life, please visit https://www.newmexicomarchforlife.com/.

Massive ‘Let’s Go, Brandon’ message appears in Albuquerque

On January 6, anonymous conservatives put up a slogan most can recognize by now— “Let’s Go, Brandon.”

The anti-Biden message which is a euphemism for “F**k Joe Biden,” appeared on the overpass along I-40 from Los Altos Park right before Exit 165 for Eubank Boulevard in Albuquerque on Thursday in a direct protest to Joe Biden, who was sworn into office despite evidence of election fraud showing he did not win the election.

The conservative activists who erected the slogan and have asked to remain nameless, told the Piñon Post, “One year ago today we were in DC protesting an illegitimate election. Today we protest an illegitimate President, while exercising our First Amendments rights, Freedom of Speech and Freedom to Peacefully Protest.”

They added, “Let Freedom ring across our Great Nation. USA!!! Oh yeah…Let’s Go Brandon!”

Although the far-left City of Albuquerque run by socialist Democrat Mayor Tim Keller took the display down around noon on Thursday, messages circulated across social media sharing the display and celebrating the anti-Biden sentiment.

Far-left ABQ City Council candidate whines about pastor endorsing opponent

A far-left Albuquerque City Council candidate in the December 7 runoff election is crying to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and Attorney General Hector Balderas because her opponent was endorsed by a local pastor.

Tammy Fiebelkorn, the leftist candidate whined, “I have always been told that nonprofit 501(c)(3)s are not supposed to engage in political discourse.” She added, “I really hope that the AG and the IRS look into this and see if what he did violated the church’s nonprofit status. More importantly, I really hope that the District 7 voters get out and make their voices heard.”

Her desperate comments came after Albuquerque pastor from Legacy Church, Steve Smothermon, said in a November 16 video, “We need people like her (Robertson) on the City Council to make sure this crazy guy they call mayor doesn’t continue to push his agenda,” referring to the Republican candidate, Lori Robertson.

Apparently, to Fiebelkorn, she thinks Pastor Smothermon no longer has the right to the First Amendment and is demanding bureaucrats investigate him for merely having an opinion.

Responding on Wednesday, Robertson said, “My opponent is trying to fabricate a scandal that does not exist.”

“What I can say is I appreciated the opportunity to share my faith and to meet with voters and discuss my solutions for our city’s problems,” Robertson said to the Albuquerque Journal.

“Separation of church and state was originally intended to protect the church from government persecution. Indeed this country was in great part founded by those seeking religious freedom,” Pastor Smothermon said.

But despite the crying from Fiebelkorn, the AG’s office has not received a complaint from her and the IRS said it does not comment on individuals or organizations, according to the Journal.

Fiebelkorn is endorsed by scandal-ridden alleged serial groper Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, a far-left extremist. She also has the endorsements of Sen. Martin Heinrich, Bernalillo County District Attorney Raúl Torres, and socialist Mayor Tim Keller.

The December 7 runoff will also take place in District 9, where Republican Renee Grout and Democrat Rob Grilley are vying for the seat. Early voting ends on December 4.

Poll that interviewed 536 people says most ABQ voters back authoritarian ‘vaccine’ mandates

According to an Albuquerque Journal poll done by pollster Brian Sanderoff, most Albuquerque voters support authoritarian“vaccine” mandates. “Do you support or oppose a mandate that requires employees to be vaccinated for COVID-19 or be tested weekly if not vaccinated?” the poll asked.

“Overall, 63% of voters surveyed said they support COVID-19 vaccine mandates, while 32% expressed opposition. The remaining respondents were unsure or had mixed feelings,” the Journal writes. The “unsure” category was about 1%, while those that answered “it depends” made up 4%.

“By party affiliation, 85% of registered Democrats said they supported requiring employees to be vaccinated, while just 10% said they were opposed. In contrast, 29% of registered Republican voters said they supported the vaccine requirements and 69% expressed opposition,” the report noted.

In another question, the poll asked on a five-point scale how safe Albuquerque voters felt doing activities. Over 60% responded they felt very safe or safe going to large outdoor events, 61% said they feel very safe or safe dining at indoor restaurants, with 45% saying they felt very safe or safe at indoor entertainment venues, with 21% saying it felt moderate, and 32% saying it felt unsafe or very unsafe.

The poll, which was conducted from October 15 through the 21st “is based on a scientific, citywide sample of 536 likely regular local election voters, including those who voted in the 2017 and/or 2019 local elections, and a small sample of newly registered voters likely to vote in 2021.”

The poll comes out ahead of the Nov. 2 election, where the control of the Albuquerque City Council and mayorship will be in the hands of voters. Incumbent Mayor Tim Keller is a proponent of extreme mask and vaccine mandates, while both of his challengers are not.

Keller ‘happy’ to be endorsed by Bloomberg gun-grabbing group

On Thursday, socialist Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller announced that he had been endorsed by the radical anti-gun group “Moms Demand Action,” which aims to rip guns out of the hands of law-abiding citizens via extreme anti-gun laws.

The group was founded and is funded by far-left billionaire Mike Bloomberg, who is a failed candidate for president in the 2020 Democrat primary.

Keller said he was “happy” to share that he “recently earned the distinction of 2021 Gun Sense Candidate from [Moms Demand Action]!”

Keller’s campaign wrote, “Since first elected, our Mayor has worked to stem gun violence in [Albuquerque].”

Moms Demand Action previously lobbied on behalf of a radical bill in the 2021 New Mexico Legislative Session to jail parents who teach their children to shoot.

The pro-gun group New Mexico Shooting Sports Association, which works to protect New Mexicans’ gun rights, said, “[Moms Demand Action] endorsing [Tim Keller] while violent crime and homicides are spiking in Albuquerque tells you what you need to know about their agenda. Nothing about their anti-gun agenda is about keeping you safe.”

Keller’s Albuquerque has made history as having the highest annual homicide rate in city history and extreme crime and homelessness ravaging the once-great New Mexico city.

Keller faces two challengers in his re-election efforts, Bernalillo County Sheriff Manny Gonzales and conservative radio talk show Eddy Aragon. The election will be held on November 2 and voters are urged to vote on Election Day instead of via absentee or early voting to curb fraud that may occur by Democrat bad actors. If none of the candidates reach a 50% threshold, a runoff election will be held on December 7, 2021.

Keller, top Dems buck mandate, spotted maskless at indoor wedding reception

According to posts on Facebook from Democrat Bernalillo County City Clerk Linda Stover, Democrat Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller was spotted with her and others at a maskless indoor wedding reception for Kristal Martinez-Ibarra and Shaun Peña, a graphic designer.

The photos posted on Stover’s wall show Stover embracing Keller and posing with Albuquerque City Council President Cynthia Borrego — all maskless. Shaun Peña is the son of Klarissa Peña, who is also a city councilor. Also in attendance were Steven Michael Quezada, a Democrat Bernalillo County Commissioner, and state Sen. Linda Lopez (D-Bernalillo).

When challenged on Facebook over the maskless event, Stover claimed, “[W]e were all vaccinated – [D]on’t jump so quickly to try and make a nice moment look bad.”

The commenter responded, writing, “[U]nfortunately regardless of vaccination status state and local mandates say masks are to be worn indoors in public places. Just sick of seeing politicians make rules fo[r] everyone but themselves.”

The Facebook commenter’s concerns are accurate, as Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s health mandate requires masks to be worn at all times indoors except when actively eating or drinking. Keller’s own mandate requires the same, writing:

“[A]ll individuals age 2 years and older shall wear a mask or multilayer cloth face covering in all indoor public settings except when eating or drinking.”

The maskless wedding reception is in direct violation of these rules that all New Mexicans are forced to live by, except evidently Democrat politicians, who have bucked the mandates.

Previously, the Piñon Post exclusively uncovered photos showing Deb Haaland previously held a maskless indoor wedding at the Hyatt Tamaya resort last month. Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham refused to comment on Haaland’s wedding. It is unclear if Lujan Grisham attended or had surrogates attend the wedding reception where Keller and other top New Mexico officials met.

Keller is running for reelection against Bernalillo County Sheriff Manny Gonzales and radio show host Eddy Aragon.

BernCo Sheriff Gonzales receives slew of GOP endorsements

Over the weekend, Bernalillo County Sheriff Manny Gonzales, one of the two Democrats running for the Albuquerque mayorship received a slew of Republican endorsements from high-profile current and former public officials.

Albuquerque City Councilor Trudy Jones, a Republican, was the first of the slew of endorsements, writing, “Sheriff Manny Gonzales is a strong fiscal conservative who will help us rein in wasteful government spending and ensure we focus government spending on basic services. Sheriff Gonzales will make fighting crime and homelessness a top priority. I enthusiastically endorse Manny Gonzales for Mayor.”

Jones has been known to be one of the most conservative members of the Albuquerque City Council and her endorsement of the Sheriff may add more credibility to the Democrat’s race.

Former state Auditor Wayne Johnson, who served in the position following Tim Keller’s abdication of the role to successfully run for Albuquerque mayor in 2017, also endorsed Gonzales. He wrote, “Sheriff Gonzales has spent his career keeping residents of Bernalillo County safe, even as crime in Albuquerque spiraled out of control. He’s a strong leader who works with everyone who wants to make their community better and safer. I worked with Manny as a Bernalillo County Commissioner and am proud to endorse him for mayor.”

Another Republican, former Secretary of State Brad Winter wrote, “Sheriff Manny Gonzales has earned a reputation as being an honest, tough-on-crime lawman. He’s born and raised in Albuquerque and honorably served in the Marine Corps. For Manny, it has always been about serving his fellow citizens. Manny is exactly the type of leader we need right now in Albuquerque and I’m proud to endorse him for Mayor.”

Gonzales, who is the only law enforcer and the only military veteran in the race, has fought a toxic campaign between the three major candidates in the running, with his unsuccessful battle to receive public financing after a strung-out lawsuit filed by Keller.

After the slew of losses in court, Gonzales has turned to fundraising, saying on September 17 that his campaign had already raised $100,000 in 72 hours. Gonzales formerly endorsed Keller in his race for mayor in 2017 and endorsed Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham for governor in 2018. However, he claims he made a mistake with the endorsement. He did, however, partner with the Trump administration to fight crime in Albuquerque.

Gonzales faces Keller and one Republican opponent, Eddy Aragon, a radio show host. Aragon has made note that he is the only Republican running in the race, and his campaign has even pressured other Republican public officials, some of whom do not even live in the Albuquerque area, to endorse him via his surrogates on Twitter. Aragon has also been critical of Gonzales’ campaign manager, who appears to be a far-leftist. He is running on a “five C’s” platform of “Corruption, Commerce, City, Covid, and Crime.” Retired Brigadier General Greg Zanetti, a Republican gubernatorial candidate, has endorsed Aragon in the race.

Keller is in stark contrast to both Aragon and Gonzales, running on a hard-left ticket. His record includes defunding the police and replacing some outgoing 911 calls with social workers, spending $30,000 on a rainbow crosswalk, achieving the most annual homicides in Albuqurque in history, and championing abortion up-to-birth and infanticide. Keller is endorsed by the Planned Parenthood abortion business.

Leftist TV station prods pro-life group over billboard featuring APD officer

On Tuesday, KRQE News 13 wrote an article going after a local pro-life group, the Right to Life Committee of New Mexico, for its life-affirming billboard featuring Albuquerque Police Officer Ryan Holets in his APD uniform and reading, “My favorite right is life.”

In 2017, Holets gained national when he was on duty and met a woman addicted to heroin while eight months pregnant. Officer Holets adopted her baby and helped the mother get to rehab.

The television station interviewed someone named Dakota Lopez who claimed the billboard “seemed like it was crossing into the realm of like, church and state and how it’s supposed to be separated.” It is unclear what this individual meant by that comment since the group is a non-profit and the officer featured on the billboard is entitled to his own beliefs.

According to an APD spokesman Gilbert Gallegos KRQE 13 contacted, he said, “We are aware of the billboard and we addressed it with the officer, who said he was approached several months ago about the use of his image in uniform. The officer informed the group that he would not give permission because it would be a violation of APD policy for him to provide an image of himself in uniform for a political campaign. The group used the images anyway, without permission and contrary to the wishes of a police officer who has distinguished himself for his integrity.”

Ethel Maharg, the executive director of the Right to Life of New Mexico, who is also a Republican gubernatorial candidate, said she never was told she could not use the images and that “It’s just that I know if they’re online they’re public domain so you can borrow them,”

It is unclear why now liberals and the mainstream media are attacking the pro-life group for the billboard, since it appears to have been up since at least July 12, with the group writing on Facebook, “Look what just went up on Northbound I-25 by the Lomas exit. Our very own hometown hero Officer Holets with 2 of his favorite girls. Hope Holets and Kardence Bero. We are super excited about our billboard and sign campaign. My Favorite Right is Life!”

After the KRQE 13 hit piece, Maharg wrote on Facebook that the news channel“said I chose the image of Officer Holets because it had made national news. Wrong again. I never said that. They lied. We chose Officer Holets for 2 reasons. 1. He is a decent human being who did a noble thing when he offered to adopt his baby Hope (while in uniform). He saved this baby from abortion. The [birth mother] didn’t want one but was in a desperate situation and desperate people do desperate things. Officer Holets saved 3 lives that day. The baby, the mother and father. He went above and beyond and saw to it that the birthparents got the help they needed. 2, When good officers do something good it goes unnoticed. I’m not going to let that happen. Right now the police force is under attack by the government. They are understaffed, on surveillance at all times and frankly there is little respect for them. It’s time we respect our men and women in blue.”

She noted,“As for me asking Officer Holets for permission and he not giving it. Lies AGAIN. I didn’t ask for his permission. It is public domain and I used it. I would NEVER intentionally hurt Officer Holets or our police force. As for the uninformed comment of church and state I laughed because you don’t know who we are. Right to Life is a [nonsectarian] organization. Let me ask you. Did you see the words God, Jesus, or the cross on that billboard? I guess you did because we stand for life from conception to natural death so I guess it did say God, Jesus and the cross.”

“You cannot deny truth. The problem you see here is that this Big, Beautiful billboard is bringing light to life, and the pro-death people are upset especially since it sits right at the exit where women seeking an abortion would see it. Pobresitos! This billboard has been up since July 14th and you just now noticed it? What took you so long? To KRQE Thanks for the free press. If you like our billboards and want to see them continue go to rtlnm.org and give so we can continue this fight, because we will NEVER stop fighting for life,” Maharg concluded.

ABQ restaurant that fought MLG’s draconian edicts says goodbye after judge deals final death blow

Backstreet Grill, an Albuquerque restaurant that put up a valiant 18 month-long fight against Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s extreme pandemic edicts, is now saying goodbye after losing a battle with the State.

On Friday, Judge Franchini reportedly dealt the death blow to the restaurant, ordering the small business to close voluntarily following the Albuquerque city attorney Robyn Rose making an “outrageous” request for the Court to terminate Backstreet Grill’s utilities.

The City of Albuquerque and the liberal media have harassed the struggling small business for months, with Backstreet Grill refusing to close their doors and deprive their employees of work, even when the city’s Environmental Health Department took them to court to try to force closure.

According to a press release reviewed by Backstreet Grill’s attorneys, “Even after the mask mandates were lifted, the city continued its relentless attacks. They filed for a temporary restraining order without giving notice to the attorneys they KNEW were representing Backstreet Grill. The harassment and intimidation [were] intensified by local news outlets and journalists. Managers have had to call in police to remove those harassing their clientele.”

In May, the State of New Mexico filed a temporary restraining order against the restaurant earlier this year, resulting in Judge Lisa Ortega ruling in favor of Backstreet Grill, by declining to extend the restraining order letting it expire in May 2021.

Now, after Judge Franchini’s ruling, Backstreet Grill is saying goodbye to its loyal customers and supporters, who have stood by them throughout these months of harassment and litigation.

The press release notes that “If people want to come by in solidarity and support, many will join to say goodbye this Sunday, 9/5/21. [Attorney] Ana Garner will be there at 5:30 pm to thank the restaurant publicly for [its] efforts in standing up.”

People from across New Mexico are invited to attend and support the business in its final days operating.

Massive crowds of NM medical workers, supporters protest forced shots

On Wednesday, in response to Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s mandate forcing all health care workers to be inoculated by August 27, healthcare workers from across the state protested in Albuquerque, Las Cruces, and Artesia.

“Taking away people’s choice and informed consent violates all medical codes of ethics, as well as the most fundamental of human rights, the Constitution, and the Nuremberg Code. No government or institution can know what is best for any other human being’s medical choices. People have diverse healthcare needs, and one-size-fits-all medical solutions are not appropriate,” read a press release from New Mexico Freedoms Alliance (NMFA).

NMFA’s Melanie Rubin said, “In the last 20 months, healthcare workers have stood by all of us through the most painful and frightening days of our lives. They have treated everyone without bias or discrimination, regardless of each individual’s personal and medical beliefs, often at great physical, emotional and financial cost to themselves and their families. They care for every patient no matter what, honoring each patient’s bodily autonomy and choices.”

The largest crowd to protest the forcible jabs was at Civic Plaza in Albuquerque, with hundreds in attendance, possibly even 1,000.

“As a vaccinated nurse, I stand beside my fellow healthcare workers who deserve the right to choose their own medical treatments. We are taught our entire nursing careers about bodily autonomy and advocating for our patients. We advocate for informed consent, instructing patients on all the risks they take and possible outcomes. Yet, we are not given that same respect for this vaccine,” said Jennifer De La Paz, a nurse from Three Crosses Hospital in Las Cruces.

“In a state that is already crippled by staffing shortages, this mandate is only going to make it worse. Continuity of care is important for our patients and bringing in travel nurses to fill these shortages does not provide for that continuity of care. We live in these communities, we are dedicated to our communities and this mandate will force staff to go elsewhere out of state or even leave their professions [altogether]. I know that hospitals in Las Cruces are unable to fully open all their beds already because of the nursing shortage. This is not fair for the patients or for the staff.”

At the Las Cruces event, many were in attendance as well, with signs reading things like “No Forced Medical Procedures” and “No Jabs 4 Jobs.” Many held similar signs at the Artesia protest.

Another press release from the New Mexico Freedoms Alliance noted that nurses and medical staff at hospitals were doing a “mass call out” on Wednesday and Thursday. The workers will be calling out “in compliance with their organization’s regulations, to demonstrate solidarity against the vaccine mandates for healthcare workers.”

The press release makes clear, “This is not a strike; the workers will be available to serve their communities on Friday. However, this is a demonstration of what will potentially happen to the healthcare system if the rule-makers do not rescind the vaccine mandate, and thereby force many healthcare workers to leave their jobs. The last thing healthcare workers want is to be forced to leave their patients with inadequate staffing coverage.”

Additionally, a cease and desist against the vaccine mandates was served to healthcare administrators around the state, including Presbyterian, Lovelace, and UNM Hospital in Albuquerque, Memorial Medical Center, Three Crosses Hospital, and Mountain View Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces, and Artesia General Hospital in Artesia.

The Cease-and-Desist letter, signed by Attorney Jonathan Diener of New Mexico Stands Up!, calls for an immediate reversal of the vaccine mandate by the healthcare administrators. It notifies the administrators that the vaccine mandate imposed by Governor Lujan Grisham is illegal under federal law, and identifies the statutes. Both the healthcare administrators and the individuals who impose the vaccine mandate can be held legally liable if they choose to move forward with the mandate.

Another letter was also sent to these health care facilities from health care workers pleading with them to stop the forced inoculations. Part of the letter reads:

“We have shown up every day for the last 20 months to YOUR organizations to provide care for OUR patients and to advocate for their care; now it’s time we advocate for ourselves. YOUR organizations remained open because WE showed up to work. WE showed up and REUSED PPE, WE showed up and held your loved one’s hands while they passed, held iPads for last goodbyes and worked multiple overtime shifts. Our vaccination

status did not matter then. Many of us contracted COVID and have already developed robust natural immunity.”
