Vulnerable Dem Leger Fernandez raises cash to fund abortions

Despite facing a tough reelection in the newly redrawn New Mexico House District Three, U.S. Rep. Teresa Leger Fernandez is once again doubling down on pro-abortion radicalism. This time, she is not only promoting abortion up-to-birth, she is raising money for pro-abortion “funds” that finance abortion tourism to New Mexico.

In an email on Tuesday titled, “Abortion is health care,” the Democrat’s campaign wrote, “In New Mexico, we believe that the personal decision to grow a family belongs with New Mexican familias, their faith, and their medical provider — and that politics and government interference have no place.” She seems to be confused between the decision to grow a family happening before the child is conceived and not afterward by killing the baby in an abortion.

The email went on:

In the face of last week’s devastating draft SCOTUS decision that would overturn Roe v. Wade, New Mexico will remain a leader in ensuring that patients can get access to care. But for many patients, that will mean traveling great distances — including to New Mexico from other states.

But this isn’t new — it’s already happening. New Mexico has long been a leader in providing health care, and we have seen a surge in patients from Texas seeking abortion care since the passage of Texas’s restrictive abortion ban, SB 8.

But for those seeking medical care, traveling out of state to access it is often an insurmountable financial or logistical burden. And for those patients, it is often local abortion funds that fill the gaps to provide the funding they need for travel, shelter, and more.

That’s why Teresa wanted us to reach out and ask for your support for New Mexico’s three local abortion funds.

Leger Fernandez’s campaign then solicited $30 donations from her supporters to fund “New Mexico Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice,” “Indigenous Women Rising,” and the “Mariposa Fund.” All of these dark money organizations pay for abortion costs for women to travel to get abortions in New Mexico.

Now, as the first-term Democrat faces reelection, it seems she is going all-in on pro-abortion radicalism and in the process, directly helping end children’s lives through abortion violence. Leger Fernandez faces Republican Alexis Martinez Johnson, who previously got close to winning the election in 2020. With redistricting, the seat has changed from a D+14 to a D+5, according to analysis from FiveThirtyEight.

MLG campaign asks for Mother’s Day card signatures after promoting unlimited abortion

On Friday, in truly twisted form, scandal-ridden alleged serial groper Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s campaign team sent out an email requesting signatures on a Mother’s Day card for the radical left-wing governor.

This comes right after Lujan Grisham touted radical pro-abortion policies, such as 2021’s S.B. 10, which she signed in New Mexico, stripping all protections for babies in the womb, pregnant mothers, and medical professionals. The bill effectively legalized abortion up-to-birth and infanticide.

This week, Lujan Grisham appeared on CNN to promote abortion and condemn pro-lifers who want to save babies from being murdered through abortions. Lujan Grisham told Jake Tapper, “You have states that are going to work to continue to restrict the decision-making of a woman about her own body, her own health care.”

She added, “And you got more than half the country that has the potential with this leaked draft decision to lose their constitutional rights. And I think it could be just the beginning. And no amount of preparation prepares you for actually being able to see what this opinion could look like and what it could actually be.”

While sharing the clip on Twitter, the Governor wrote, “We took action in #NM to protect a woman’s right to an abortion. As governor, I’ll never stop fighting for women and their rights.”

But pro-lifers clapped back at Lujan Grisham. Elisa Martinez of New Mexico Alliance for Life and candidate for the state House of Representatives wrote, “NOT true. What about the dozens of women who are sent to the Emergency Room or have died as a result of unsafe & unregulated abortions in #NM? You’ve fought to empower #abortion businesses – not for women.”

But despite Lujan Grisham’s rabid support for abortion up-to-birth and infanticide, her team is now “thanking” Lujan Grisham with a Mother’s Day card. In an email, the campaign team wrote, “On Mother’s Day, we want to say “thank you” for everything Gov. Lujan Grisham has done for New Mexicans. Will you sign your name now to wish Gov. Lujan Grisham a happy Mother’s Day?”

Lujan Grisham recently took a maxed-out donation from Planned Parenthood and donated thousands to the sexist pro-abortion group that only helps anti-life women run for office, EMILY’s List.

MLG digs up old campaign ad to promote abortion up-to-birth

On Tuesday, scandal-ridden alleged serial groper Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham dug up an old 2021 campaign ad for her run for Congress where she touted her support for radical pro-abortion policies.

The embattled governor, who is under investigation for ethics violations and recently paid off a staffer $150,000 for claims she grabbed his crotch, wrote, “I’ve spent my career being an advocate for women and their right to choose.”

“In 2012, I released this ad talking about the need to stand up for women’s rights. This message is even more important than ever,” in apparent response to the Supreme Court’s leaked decision in the Dobbs case which overturned the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion-on-demand in the United States.

Lujan Grisham ironically claims she is protecting “women’s rights” despite half of abortions killing baby girls, while mothers have been maimed and killed because of abortions — the opposite of women’s rights.

In true form, Lujan Grisham proceeded to ask for money from donors to help her continue killing babies in the womb, writing, “I will never stop fighting to protect women’s rights in New Mexico. Join us in the fight and pitch in $25 right now.”

In 2021, Lujan Grisham signed into law S.B. 10, which legalized abortion up-to-birth and infanticide in New Mexico. That means that when Roe v. Wade is officially overturned, New Mexico will continue being the Wild West of extreme late-term abortion.

Vulnerable Dems Leger Fernandez, Stansbury double down on abortion support

Late Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court’s draft opinion on the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case was leaked to the press, which showed the Court was poised to overturn 1973’s Roe v. Wade decision, which legalized abortion-on-demand in the United States. Roe’s defeat would mean individual states would get the ability to ban or legalize abortion as they see fit.

While pro-lifers cheered on the potential decision, which was later confirmed to be authentic by Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, Democrats doubled down on their support for radical abortion up-to-birth and infanticide policies. Those Democrats included vulnerable U.S. Rep. Teresa Leger Fernandez.

The first-term congresswoman wrote on Facebook Monday, “In New Mexico, we believe that the personal decision to add to a family belongs with New Mexican familias, their faith, and their physician – and that politics and government interference have no place. Now more than ever, in the face of this anticipated and devastating draft decision, NM will stand with women and families.”

Leger Fernandez added, “We will remain a leader in ensuring that patients have access to the full spectrum of healthcare they need and deserve, including access to abortion care.” It should be noted that ther is never a medically necessary reason for abortion, therefore there is no such thing as “abortion care.” Abortion is the selective killing of a child in the womb.

In the attempt to take out Congresswoman Yvette Herrell (R-NM-02) from the House of Representatives, Democrats heavily gerrymandered New Mexico’s congressional map, which plunged large swaths of Democrat voters while adding conservative areas into Leger Fernandez’s Third District. According to FiveThirtyEight, Leger Fernandez’s district was winnowed down from a D+14 seat to a D+5. Leger Fernandez faces Republican Alexis Martinez Johnson in the General Election. Martinez Johnson previously ran for the seat in 2020, so this race would be a second round for the two candidates.

With a competitive cycle ahead in November, national polls are showing Democrats are training Republicans on generic ballots by double digits. Since protecting human life in the womb is an issue that many moderate Democrats in New Mexico believe is important, Leger Fernandez’s doubling-down on her pro-abortion stance could hurt her beyond measure in the November 8 General Election.

Rep. Melanie Stansbury (D-NM-01), who also faces a tougher reeleciton with her district being downgraded from a D+18 to a D+11 could also face a tough race, with her radical stance on abortion.

“It’s now clearer than it’s ever been: SCOTUS is about to gut our basic rights to control our own bodies. It’s up to the Senate to end the filibuster and pass the Women’s Health Protection Act, now,” the first-term Democrat congresswoman wrote on Twitter.

She added, “Care remains available—this is still a draft opinion. But we must continue the fight in the Senate and at the ballot box.”

As Democrats continue to go all-in on abortion up-to-birth policies, Republicans have a shot at picking up seats across the nation, especially with the control of Congress and the Legislatures having even more significance in the abolition of abortion across the U.S.

Taxpayers pay UNM’s $350K legal bill in death of mother during late-term abortion

On Wednesday, the legal group Abortion On Trial released information about a years-long legal settlement after a referral from the University of New Mexico that resulted in the death of 23-year-old Keisha Atkins of Albuquerque.

“According to [a] public records request, The University Of New Mexico has agreed to pay the Estate of Keisha Atkins a settlement of $365,000.00 over the claim of negligent referral to an abortion provider leading to the death of 23-year-old Keisha Atkins, who died of sepsis during her elective 24-week abortion,” wrote the group in a news release.

“UNM should have never referred Keisha to Curtis Boyd’s outpatient abortion facility, Southwestern Women’s Options.” said Jamie Jeffries, Executive Director at Abortion On Trial. “It is unacceptable medical care to perform an induction abortion outside of a hospital. Practitioners everywhere should be aware that referring women to private abortion clinics can result in legal action and subsequent liability.”

The group’s news release continues:

Not only was Keisha Atkin’s elective 6 month abortion taxpayer funded through New Mexico Medicaid, the $365,000.00 settlement agreed to by UNM, a publicly funded university, will be paid for by New Mexico taxpayers. The Decision by UNM to participate in referring women to Curtis Boyd’s Southwestern Women’s Options abortion facility in Albuquerque is a decision taxpayers are now force to be involved in. While public university funding should be going toward further education needs, this case and settlement has redistributed hundreds of thousands of dollars away from New Mexico students.

Attorney Mike Seibel, who was involved in securing the settlement, wrote to his friends, “Of the attorneys fees generated from the UNM, $365000 settlement I donated a good amount to pregnancy centers, sidewalk advocates, pro life candidates and pro life causes.  The money man intended to use for evil God turned to good.  It’s time to win this battle.”

Colón endorsed by Planned Parenthood abortion business

On Saturday, far-left State Auditor Brian Colón, who is running for New Mexico attorney general, was endorsed by abortion up-to-birth group Planned Parenthood, which commits over 324,000 abortions annually.

Colón wrote on Twitter, “I’m proud to be endorsed by Planned Parenthood Votes NM.” He claimed that “conservative courts” are ignoring precedent regarding abortion, despite the procedure’s inhumane practice of killing children in the womb — a violation of constitutional rights.

He wrote, “I’ll stand tall” with Planned Parenthood “to be a firewall in NM.”

The radical abortion group endorsed Colón, as well as other Democrats vying for seats in the Legislature and statewide.

Other endorsements by the abortion business include scandal-ridden alleged serial groper Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, Lt. Gov. Howie Morales, Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver, Public Lands Commissioner Stephanie Garcia Richard, state auditor candidate Zachary Quintero, and left-wing radicals in the House such as Reps. Joy Garratt (D-Bernalillo), Andrea Romero (D-Santa Fe), and Joanne Ferrary (D-Doña Ana).

According to the most recent statistics from 2019, New Mexico’s abortion rate doubled, while abortion mills open up around New Mexico as Gov. Lujan Grisham recently signed a bill in 2021 to legalize unlimited abortion up-to-birth and infanticide in the state.

Now, as Colón has received the endorsement of the radical anti-life group, it could help his bid for the seat in the Democrat primary by peddling the far-left pro-abortion agenda. In the general election, however, support for the destruction of human life in the womb may not be as kind to him with the electorate, as pro-life Republican presumptive attorney general nominee Jeremy Gay could peel off pro-life Democrats and sway independents.

NM abortion rate doubles, Planned Parenthood opening new locations in state

On Friday, New Mexico Alliance for Life released a report showing that New Mexico’s extremely loose abortion laws are causing even more babies to be killed through abortions annually. In 2019, the number of babies’ lives ended through the deadly procedure doubled.

The group wrote, “The Center for Disease Control released its 2019 numbers and the findings are shocking: New Mexico’s abortion rate doubled—in just one year. The out-of-state abortion rate outpaced in-state residents ending their child’s life by abortion, largely due to pro-life laws in neighboring states.”

“This is an eye-opening report, while Texas, Arizona, and other states pass life-saving laws, New Mexico’s Governor and the abortion lobby fought to rescind all protections for women and unborn babies,” said Elisa Martinez, New Mexico Alliance for Life Executive Director.

The group’s report further stated, “New Mexico also leads the nation in elective late-term abortions, also due to neighboring states passing pro-life laws.  This is why New Mexicans must elect pro-life leaders to send to Santa Fe and Washington D.C. to represent our values.”

Now, as pro-abortion politicians in Santa Fe rammed through an abortion up-to-birth bill in 2021, New Mexico, which has already been the abortion capital of the United States, is a haven for inhumane killing of babies up to and in some cases after birth.

New Mexico’s neighboring state of Texas recently passed a pro-life law to save babies from Abortion, which has already prompted abortion businesses to open new locations in the state, with at least one new location opening in Las Cruces, according to the Southwest Coalition for Life.

Mark Cavaliere wrote in a March email, “Now, in a move that is tragic yet also not surprising, the nation’s largest abortion corporation ‘Planned Parenthood’ has been distributing literature promoting a new center “coming soon” to Las Cruces, which will distribute chemical abortion pills.

MLG touts abortion, pot, taxpayer-funded college as biggest accomplishments

On Tuesday, scandal-ridden alleged serial groper Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham sent out yet another fundraising email, this time trying to claim her administration has been a success on three major issues: abortion, recreational marijuana, and taxpayer-funded “free” college programs.

She spoke about how her signing of a 2021 bill to legalize abortion up-to-birth and infanticide was a “safeguard” for the ability to kill more children in the womb in New Mexico.

Lujan Grisham wrote, “I safeguarded our reproductive rights as the GOP attempted to enact near-total abortion bans in other states.”

Regarding pot legalization, she wrote, “I legalized cannabis to take a step toward ending the war on drugs, which has disproportionately harmed Black and brown communities.”

Lastly, she wrote, “I just signed a bill that will provide free higher education to every New Mexico student – opening doors for a generation of young adults.” This program costs the taxpayers a recurring $75 million, which in times of economic crisis will require tax increases to fund.

Lujan Grisham did not, however, talk about the 40% of small businesses killed under her pandemic lockdowns, the high pandemic virus numbers despite stringent mandates, or New Mexico having the highest unemployment rate in the United States.

Under her tenure, other than mass economic devastation, the Governor faced scandal after scandal, including a $150,000 payoff from campaign funds to a sexual abuse victim who claims she groped him. At the Children, Youth, and Families Department, important records were being deleted while whistleblowers who sounded the alarm got fired.

The Department of Workforce Solutions also had hundreds of millions of dollars missing while she paid people not to work during her pandemic lockdown — further exacerbating the economic devastation.

But despite these grievous offenses in office and more, Lujan Grisham is banging the drum on her legislative record of killing more babies up to the date of their birth, legalizing drugs, and forcing New Mexico’s already impoverished taxpayers to fork over more dough for “free” college programs.

Lujan Grisham faces multiple GOP opponents, one of which will be selected on the June 7 primary to take her out. Multiple Libertarians are also running for the nomination, showing a competitive race to defeat the scandal-ridden Governor in November.

Abortion up-to-birth group endorses Maggie Toulouse Oliver

On Tuesday, Democrat New Mexico Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver sent an email saying she had gotten the endorsement of the radical abortion up-to-birth dark money group “EMILY’s List,” which only endorses women who support unlimited abortions.

Despite the Secretary of State’s position not having anything whatsoever to do with abortion, the endorsement out-of-state abortion group means cash will likely flood into the state in the form of independent expenditures to promote Toulouse Oliver’s candidacy.

“EMILY’s List is proud to endorse Secretary Maggie Toulouse Oliver for reelection,” said Sarah Curmi, vice president of state and local campaigns at EMILY’s List. “Secretary Toulouse Oliver has steadfastly served the state of New Mexico. As secretary of state, she has worked hard to secure fair and safe elections, increase voter access, and create a transparent and efficient state government.”

In response to the endorsement, Toulouse Oliver wrote on Twitter, “I’m honored to earn this endorsement from [EMILY’s List].” Her team in a subsequent email wrote, “you know you’re on the right team when EMILY’S List endorses your candidate.”

“What you see is what you get with Maggie. With EMILY’s List behind us, we can keep Maggie’s seat,” the email continued.

As the 2022 race looms around the corner, Toulouse Oliver will seek to keep her job in the Secretary of State’s office after years of a tumultuous tenure.

She previously ran unsuccessfully for an open U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Tom Udall. She ran far to the left in the primary, supporting unlimited abortion, the Green New Deal, “free” health care, and other costly social programs. Toulouse Oliver ultimately dropped out before the primary and threw her support behind then-U.S. Rep. Ben Ray Luján who won in the general election.

Conservative activist Audrey Trujillo is running on the Republican side against Toulouse Oliver. No other challengers have jumped in the GOP race.
