Dem rep’s home raided amid DOJ probe into sketchy group that funded MLG trip

On Wednesday, federal agents were spotted at the home and the Laredo, Texas office of Congressman Henry Cuellar (D-TX), as the Department of Justice’s Public Integrity Unit, which investigates bribery and government integrity, is investigating him.

According to a recent report, “Documents obtained by Fox News show that in 2013, Cuellar and his wife took a $25,000 trip to Turkey and Azerbaijan which included a stay at a luxury hotel and was sponsored by the Turquoise Council of Americans and Eurasians.”

In 2013, then-U.S. Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham went on a swanky trip along with nine other members of Congress to Baku on the Caspian Sea sponsored by the Azerbaijani government masked as the nonprofit corporations Turquoise Council of Americans and Eurasians (TCAE) and the Assembly of the Friends of Azerbaijan (AFAZ).

Reports indicate that the lawmakers and their staff, including Lujan Grisham, received hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of travel expenses, luxury goods, such as scarves, crystal tea sets, gold-plated plates, turquoise earrings, and rugs, among other valuable items. Lujan Grisham did not disclose these gifts to the Ethics Committee, despite these luxury goods being above the threshold for disclosed gifts.

The rugs alone were valued at $2,500 to $10,000 — far above the $350 threshold set by the Ethics Committee. At the time, she claimed she did not disclose these luxurious gifts because she “did not think they were particularly valuable” and she reportedly said they were “unattractive.”

She took her fiancé, Manuel “Manny” Cordova, on the trip but paid $4,980 for his flights.

Lujan Grisham met with the Azerbaijan America Alliance on May 31, 2013 “regarding Azerbaijan-U.S. relations,” according to U.S. House lobbying reports

Lujan Grisham has continued her luxurious lifestyle, if not paid by the Azerbaijani government, the New Mexico taxpayers have shelled out tens of thousands for her expensive habits, including expensive tequila and $200/lb Wagyu steaks. Throughout the pandemic, Lujan Grisham has broken her lockdown orders to buy lavish jewelry while New Mexicans were forced to stand in bread lines during the holidays due to her strict 75-person capacity limit in grocery stores.

Recently, upon arrival back from her “climate change” excursion to Scotland, Lujan Grisham made the taxpayers foot the bill for a lavish dinner party which included “[s]ous vide and butter-basted beef tenderloin with roasted vegetable Napoleon and rosemary red wine demiglace.” Dessert included a “chocolate pear tartlet with hazelnut crisp,” with the meal totaling $150 per guest.

As federal investigators probe Rep. Henry Cuellar, it is unclear if more will come out about more alleged corruption by Lujan Grisham, who directly received tens of thousands in luxury gifts from the Turquoise Council of Americans and Eurasians — a front for the government of Azerbaijan.

Gov. Lujan Grisham’s office was contacted for comment but the Piñon Post has yet to receive a response.

  1. I really appreciate your reporting on these issues.
However, where is the Justice in our Justice System, where are the honest Judges and attorneys.
People of all Tribes and Nations call out for Peace but there will be no peace. God has given America the leaders it deserves and she will not repent from her sin.
History repeats itself and what was will be again.

I can relate to Jeremiah of old when he said…
“Therefore I am full of the fury of the LORD; I am weary with holding in: I will pour it out upon the children abroad, and upon the assembly of young men together: for even the husband with the wife shall be taken, the aged with him that is full of days. And their houses shall be turned unto others, with their fields and wives together: for I will stretch out my hand upon the inhabitants of the land, saith the LORD. For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely. They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.
Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.
Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken…

What good will a “good” Politician do when the people they would serve are themselves so evil. God said there in not one who is good, no not one! Not me, not you!

The politicians that are elected represent the people who elect them….which means what?
Evil people elect evil people because they share the same love of evil.
Unless people turn for their love of sin, no matter who you elect, nothing will change and you’re only deceiving yourselves.
America is under God’s judgement and her wounds will never heal until her people turn from the practicing of their copious amount of obvious and hidden sins.

Again, I say…There is nothing new under the sun, that which was will be again. If God punished Jerusalem and of the Beth Hamikdosh, and he is no respecter of persons, then He will by his own unchanging character have to punish America and every state whose leaders are evil.
Jeremiah watched the growing demoralization of his people with pain in his heart, and he sternly admonished them.

“Roam about the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and search in its broad places, if you can find one man, if there be one that executes justice, that searches the truth-and I will pardon it. And though they say, ‘As G‑d lives,’ surely they only swear to a falsehood…They have denied G‑d and said, ‘It is not He; evil shall not come upon us, neither shall we see sword or famine…’

“Therefore, thus says G‑d, the G‑d of Hosts, Because you speak this word, I will make my words in your mouth as fire, and this people as wood; and it shall devour them. Behold, I will bring a nation upon you from far… a mighty nation it is; an ancient nation, a nation whose language you do not know, and do not understand what they say. Their quiver is as an open grave, they are all mighty men. And they shall eat up your harvest and your bread, which your sons and daughters should eat; they shall eat up your flocks and your herds; they shall eat up your vines and your fig-trees; they shall impoverish your fortified cities in which you trust, by the sword. .” (Jeremiah 5:1-17).
You hear the talk of inflation, that people find it hard to buy food, pay for heat etc. The food lines are growing and why do think it is happening?
The politicians tell you “It’s the fault of the Democrats, and the Democrats say..No it’s the Republicans!”
How long will you refuse to see the truth? Their is none good, no not one!
Repent America because soon the doors of God’s Ark Of Salvation will be closed and you will die in your own sins and only YOU will be to blame if you allow it to happen.

  2. Are New Mexicans really electing them or are they just ‘winning the elections’. Most people here are not so rich they can afford to pay for her (and friends) lifestyles. Why would they keep voting for these people.? I wonder if they really are…just sayin!

  3. If the Justice Department finds wrongdoing they should go after her. I appears they are not afraid of raiding Cuellar’s home so let’s see what happens. Not a big fan of MLG but what happened to all your outrage when Trump was molesting women, instigating treason and spending charitable contributions on himself.

  4. Where can I get copies of this data regarding her expenditures? I would happily stand on the street corner with a sign if I could hand out copies of documents or compiled documentation. While I love getting the information I get from this publication, the writing is too slanted for me to share with the “blue” masses in Las Cruces. How can I or other readers get these documents to share?
