Fox News announces shocking split with Tucker Carlson

On Monday, it was revealed in a news release that Fox News’ Tucker Carlson of the high-rated hit show Tucker Carlson Tonight is leaving the network.

It read, “FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.”

“Mr. Carlson’s last program was Friday April 21st. Fox News Tonight will air live at 8 PM/ET starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating FOX News personalities until a new host is named.”

Last week, Fox News settled its lawsuit with Dominion for $787.5 million. It is immediately unclear if Carlson’s departure is related to the multi-million-dollar settlement.

Carlson ended his Fox News career with a staggering 2.99 million viewers of his Thursday night show, trouncing all other networks by millions. Fox News is likely to lose many viewers if Carlson is picked up by another network, and it is unclear who will fill his shoes with his abrupt departure.

Matt Walsh of the Daily Wire wrote following the split, “Wow. Disastrous moment for Fox News. Tucker was by far the most important and relevant figure at the network, and in all of cable news.”

The Fox Corp Class A and B stocks appeared to have lost around five percent following the news:

“An interim program, ‘Fox News Tonight,’ will air at 8 p.m. ET until a permanent replacement for Carlson is named. ‘Fox News Tonight’ will be hosted by a rotation of various Fox News personalities,” according to a Fox News report

  1. The end is near.

Fox News let go of Dan Bongino and his weekend show a couple of weeks ago. Now Tucker Carlson is gone. Are they on a mission to clean out conservatives to better “compete” with CNN?

Next, I expect the MyPillow ads will be axed (sarc).

  2. I used to watch Tucker and Mark Lavin regularly. I guess I am down to just Mark. RAV and Newsman are pretty much our families news sources. Both are free and you can get them on an app for your phone. I seldom use fox for a source, knowing who their leadership is just makes them not trustworthy.

  3. Sad Sad Move on Fox’s part………. Big Mistake!!
God Bless you Tucker and good Luck.
I look forward to following you.

  4. Tucker Carlson was a real plus for Fox News. The top execs at Fox made a huge mistake getting rid of him. I’ll turn to Newsmax TV beginning Monday, April 24. So long Fox News.

  5. Well, I guess no more Fox for me! I don’t care much for the people on Newsmax but I guess I’ll adjust. I’m still trying to wrap my head around the idea that they fired their most popular person! Fools!! They are calling him an election denier and Jan 6 insurrection supporter. I also noticed he and Jesse used he/him pronouns for the trans school shooter. I don’t think Tucker would appreciate having to do that.

  6. Telling the truth in communist America will certainly come with consequences. As in Orwell’s 1984 in a constant bombardment of lies, telling the truth is a revolutionary act. Tucker was waking people up to the fact that criminals run this country and gaslight the public to continue to do so. The deplorable’s must not have accurate information, only the state media and their lies are allowed.good luck Tucker.
