NM House and Senate to hold final votes on abortion up-to-birth and infanticide bills

Today’s a deciding moment in New Mexico, with both the House and the Senate chambers to decide the fate of a radical abortion up-to-birth and infanticide bill, H.B. 7 in the House S.B. 10 in the Senate. Sens. Linda Lopez (D-Bernalillo) and Peter Wirth (D-Santa Fe) are sponsoring the legislation in the Senate and Reps. Micaela Cadena (D-Doña Ana), Brian Egolf (D-Santa Fe), Joanne Ferrary (D-Doña Ana), Deborah Armstrong (D-Bernalillo), and Georgene Louis (D-Bernalillo) are carrying the bill in the House.

The bill would flatly strip away all protections on the books in New Mexico for women, children in the womb, and health care workers. The bill rips out portions of the law protecting medical professionals’ conscience rights, allows teen girls to get abortions on-demand with no parental consent, and paves a path for unregulated, unsafe abortions in New Mexico.

The bill is an exact mirror image of 2019’s failed bill, which pro-life Democrats killed in the Senate. Since that vote, most of these pro-life members have been ousted by their parties or have mysteriously died. Gov. Lujan Grisham took out retribution on these pro-life Democrats by mounting well-funded primary challenges to them, made up of mostly out-of-state PACs, dark money organizations, and misinformation campaigns to malign their reputations.

It should be noted that not a single co-sponsor of the radical abortion bills comes from any locality outside of the three Democrat-dominant population strongholds of Bernalillo, Doña Ana, and Santa Fe counties, which says a lot about where the bill comes from and where support for it comes from also.

Out-of-state abortion giants, including Planned Parenthood and far-left dark money group the American Civil Liberties Union, have spent an unknown sum on expensive mailers and digital advertisements on their deep-pocketed misinformation campaign.

H.B. 7 and S.B. 10 were rushed through both chambers’ committees and both chambers will decide whether they support the right to life or abortion up-to-birth and infanticide.

ACTION ALERT: Please reach out to your representative and senator here. Call them and tell them to vote “NO” on S.B. 10 or H.B. 7. Remind them how quickly the next election is coming and how you will never forget their vote on Election Day.

PETITION: Demand the resignation of Rep. Phelps Anderson for betraying his constituents

State Rep. Phelps Anderson (DTS-Roswell) was elected on a pro-life ticket as a Republican by the voters of New Mexico’s 66th District—which includes Roswell, a “sanctuary city for the unborn.” However, Anderson betrayed his constituents’ trust by voting for the abortion up-to-birth and infanticide bill, H.B. 7.

After massive backlash from his home district and across the state, he left the Republican Party in disgrace to become an Independent. He then on February 10 voted against a pro-life bill to protect women going to abortion facilities during COVID-19. On February 19, Anderson voted for the final passage of S.B. 10, abortion up-to-birth, and infanticide legalization.

But the people of the great 66th District did not elect an Independent—They elected someone they thought was a Republican. They also thought they were electing a pro-life representative, but now they are left without any representation at all.

However, Rep. Anderson doesn’t care. He callously told reporters, “Resignation is not a choice for me because I believe when an unpopular vote is made, we cannot expect our legislators to resign.”

If Rep. Anderson refuses to resign and he continues to serve in the New Mexico House, the people of District 66 will be without representation for 23 months—equivalent to one year and 11 months.

Rep. Anderson’s betrayal should not be tolerated, which is why today, the Piñon Post is launching a petition demanding Rep. Anderson resign.

As I said before, Rep. Anderson “must now resign and allow local leaders to fill his seat with someone who truly represents the 66th District. The time for wishy-washy and unreliable ‘Republicans’ in the House is over.”

Please sign the petition and help us make a real difference!

ACTION ALERT: NM Senate to hear MLG’s abortion up-to-birth and infanticide bill on Monday

In 2019, New Mexicans successfully defeated a radical abortion up-to-birth bill, HB-51, which would have stripped away protections for women and their children in the womb and removed “conscientious objection” protections for physicians and medical professionals.

The bill is back in the form of SB-10, the same cookie-cutter legislation proposed in 2019, but this time it is being proposed in the New Mexico Senate, the same chamber where HB-51 was defeated. State Sen. Linda Lopez and Majority Leader Peter Wirth are co-sponsoring the bill, which is a single page (and seven lines in length), flatly stripping the statute off the books–and thus harming countless New Mexicans.

The Democrats believe they may have the votes to ram through the bill, due to the deaths of pro-life Democrat senators and the election defeats of pro-life Democrats by radical anti-life extremists. The newly grasped pro-abortion advantage by Democrats is why it is such a top-priority for anti-life extremists and Democrats in the Legislature.

Planned Parenthood abortion business has already been lobbying New Mexico legislators with misleading and false statements to support an abortion up-to-birth and infanticide bill, as reported on previously.

According to two legislators, SB-10 will be heard on Monday in the Senate Health & Public Affairs Committee, and it is critical for Piñon Post readers to reach out to the legislators in the committee and demand they vote “NO” on SB-10, the abortion up-to-birth bill. Please email the committee members below:

Draft email language to copy into your email:

Dear Senator,

My name is [YOUR NAME], and I am asking you to vote against SB-10, the abortion up-to-birth and infanticide bill proposed by Sens. Linda Lopez and Peter Wirth.

This ill-conceived and hastily drafted piece of legislation (which is only seven lines in length) would flatly strip out a life-saving New Mexico state statute that protects women, children, and health care professionals, of which we all should be mindful.

An essential part of the current law that these senators look to rip out protects health care workers who have conscientious objections to performing an abortion. Without these protections, our health care heroes will be at risk.SB-10 puts doctors at risk of losing their medical licenses and face criminal prosecution or other sanctions.

Also, stripping the statute would remove physicians’ requirements to perform abortion procedures, leaving women exposed to sub-par care.

SB-10 allows sex traffickers and child abusers to take a pregnant minor in for an abortion without any parental knowledge or involvement–not to mention without any reporting criteria.

With this bill, a pregnant mother would be allowed to have an abortion at any pregnancy stage. It is a medical fact that the risk of death or serious injury to women increases to 76.6% in abortions after five months.

This bill is ill-conceived and leaves gaping holes in state law for women to be maimed or potentially killed during an abortion, and I urge you to please vote against SB-10 for the children, the women, and the health care heroes we must protect.

Thank you so much for listening to my concerns and for voting against this bill.

Sincerely,

Pro-Trump protest and Jericho March set for Saturday at the Roundhouse

On Saturday, patriot groups are working together to organize a planned pro-Trump protest and Jericho March to support the President and pray for the nation.

According to an infographic posted by one of the organizers, patriots will meet up at Bernalillo Exit 242 at 10:00 a.m. and start riding from Albuquerque to Santa Fe at 11:00 a.m.

The rally at the Roundhouse will begin at 12 noon, and will feature speakers from Bikers for Trump New Mexico, Cowboys for Trump, New Mexico Return, among others.

According to the national Jericho March website, the event “is comprised of Judeo-Christians collectively praying to God to intercede, expose a particular darkness, and bring about justice. As a community of believers, we take our petitions to heaven, and we know that our mighty and powerful God answers and can move mountains.”

The Jericho March movement is supportive of President Trump and uses the hashtags #JerichoMarch and #StopTheSteal in its branding.

One of the organizers of the protest wrote on the Facebook event, “Opening prayer and pledge, anthem then we march to the St. FRANCIS Cathedral. We will have a prayer vigil and a call to altar there. We will return to the Capitol and have speakers and then gather in unity for a final march and prayer around the Capitol building.”

After the Santa Fe march, patriots are planning on driving up to the Governor’s Mansion and singing Christmas carols outside.

More information can be found about the event and how you can join in here.

ALERT: The Red Nation’s anti-Semitic ‘Global Day of Rage’ hate rally happening today in ABQ

As reported on previously, anti-Hispanic and anti-Semitic hate group “The Red Nation” is holding their “Global Day of Rage,” partnering with “The Women’s March” and “Al-Awda,” a group whose president compares Jews to Nazis and supports the Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah, among other atrocities.

The event details, which are to happen on Wenesday, July 1st in Albuquerque are below:

5pm: Car Parade will start at San Mateo and Central, then head west down Central Ave to Rio Grande Blvd, then head north to Mountain and will end at Tiguex Park.

6pm: We will have a rally with speakers at Tiguex Park.

The Piñon Post previously sent out the following press release calling on Santa Fe Mayor Allen Webber, Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller, Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, and other elected officials to call out “The Red Nation” hate group.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Piñon Post calls on Mayor Webber to denounce ‘The Red Nation’ for racist rhetoric and links to terrorism

SANTA FE, N.M.—On June 18th, Mayor Alan Webber proudly shared the stage on the Santa Fe plaza with members of the group, “The Red Nation,” an organization that has a past of anti-Hispanic bigotry. Now, the group has aligned itself with the Hezbollah-linked group “Al-Awda,” whose founder equates Zionists with Nazis.

Anti-Hispanic bigotry

The Red Nation’s founder claimed in a 2016 blog post that “the ‘Hispanic’ or ‘Spanish American’ racial identity was a fiction created to make New Mexico appear ‘white enough’ to join the U.S. since both identities privileged a European or Spanish heritage even if the population was mixed or descended from detribalized peoples. New Mexico’s statehood was delayed until 1912 because white Anglos felt the territory did not possess a white majority, so a new ‘race’ of whites had to be created.”

“The Red Nation is an anti-Hispanic hate group, period. Its bigoted attempts to erase the rich culture of Hispanic and Spanish American people — both by attempting to tear down outward representations of our heritage and by claiming our racial identity is fictitious — is textbook racism,” said John Block, editor of the Piñon Post.

Ties to anti-Semitism and the terrorist group Hezbollah

The group has also recently partnered with the Hezbollah-linked group “Al-Awda,” to put on a July 1st parade and rally in Albuquerque called the “Global Day of Rage” against Israel’s occupation of the West Bank. According to a detailed report by the Anti-Defamation League, Abbas Hamideh, the group’s founder has expressed strong support for Rasmea Odeh, a member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, who was convicted of planting the explosives used in two 1969 Jerusalem bombings.

In addition, Hamideh repeatedly praised the work of the Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah, writing, “Happy #LiberationDay #Lebanon! Long live the courageous #Hezbollah!”

He compared Zionists with Nazis, writing, “Yes, the Nazis are still around with a different name: Zionists,” and wrote, “Israel will eventually die just like Nazism.”

Hamideh also said FOX News and CNN are “Zionist Jew network[s]” that are controlled by “Jew Zionist masters.”

Mayor Alan Webber Must Denounce The Red Nation

“The anti-Hispanic, anti-Semitic organization calling itself ‘The Red Nation’ has shown just how far it is willing to go to promote a pure evil ideology of hatred, division, and racism. The Piñon Post calls on Santa Fe Mayor Alan Webber to immediately denounce The Red Nation for its ties to terrorism. As a civil and just society, we must call a spade a spade, and violent organizations like The Red Nation must be called out and ostracized — not embraced,” said Block.

Block continued, “We also call on other people in positions of power, including Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller, New Mexico’s entire federal congressional delegation, and Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, to denounce The Red Nation for its racist and violent terrorist activity. As Mayor of Albuquerque, Tim Keller must immediately condemn The Red Nation for their racism, and discourage them from holding their anti-Semitic event in his city.”

According to federal designations, “Domestic terrorism is the unlawful use, or threatened use, of force or violence by a group or individual based and operating entirely within the United States or Puerto Rico without foreign direction committed against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof in furtherance of political or social objectives.”

By the group’s demonstrations and its promotion of violent means (such as destroying property) to meet its political and social objectives, The Red Nation is carrying out acts of domestic terrorism.

The Piñon Post will be sending a letter to U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo petitioning him to designate the group a terrorist organization.

ACTION ALERT: Stop Dems’ automatic mail-in ballot amendment that may open door to fraud

🚨DEMOCRATS MAY BE TRYING TO STEAL OUR ELECTIONS AND YOUR HELP IS URGENTLY REQUESTED🚨

It was announced that the Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s bill (SB-4) to force through an all mail-in ballot election in 2020 would only get one committee assignment and it would be on the fast-track thanks to the Democrats’ dark-room deals and closed-off Legislative Session from the public.

The Senate Rules Committee added a critical amendment to the bill redacting language that would have forced through the dangerous option for county clerks to automatically send absentee ballots to every voter in their county — stopping language that may have opened the door to massive fraud. The bill without the dangerous amendment passed the Senate by a vote of 40-2. But radical groups are urging representatives in the NM House to add a committee and/or floor amendment to sneak the dangerous language back in.

PLEASE EMAIL NEW MEXICO SENATORS AND URGE THEM TO VOTE AGAINST THE ADDITION OF THIS DANGEROUS LANGUAGE INTO SB-4:

Draft email language to copy into your email:

Dear Representative,

My name is [YOUR NAME] and I am asking you to vote against any proposal to add redacted language back into SB-4, the election reform bill. The redacted language would allow county clerks to automatically send absentee ballots to voters, which opens the door to massive election fraud.

Elections are the foundation of our democracy. Access to polling locations is vital, and ensuring no fraud occurs in our elections is essential to election fairness. Automatically sending out absentee ballots to archaic voter rolls that have not been cleaned in years creates a vast potential for our elections to be hijacked by bad actors.

Thanks to New Mexico’s county clerks, every citizen was allowed to vote safely in-person during the June 2020 primary election despite the COVID-19 pandemic. Democratic Bernalillo County Clerk Linda Stover reaffirmed this, saying that in-person polling places were “probably one of the safest places to be in town.” In-person voting with the option to request an absentee ballot should be upheld.

Part of good governance is ensuring that our electoral systems remain accessible to all voters. We do NOT need more expense, red tape, and a lack of election integrity. Please VOTE NO to any committee or floor amendment to SB-4 adding automatic mailing of absentee ballots to voters. The OPTION to order an absentee ballot should be that of the voter — not the government. Thank you.

Sincerely,
