Leger Fernandez makes spectacularly dumb claim about Biden’s border

In a stunning display of denialism during a June 3 U.S. House Rules Committee hearing, far-left Democrat Rep. Teresa Leger Fernandez (NM-03) attempted to rewrite history, declaring, “But I do think that it is important that we stay rooted in fact. And the reality is there were no open borders during Biden.”

The comment quickly ignited a firestorm of criticism from Republicans, border security advocates, and anyone familiar with the reality of America’s recent border crisis.

Ben Petersen of the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) rebuked the statement on X, writing:

“Record-breaking MILLIONS of illegal immigrant crossings, overwhelmed border towns & cartel criminals running wild say otherwise.”

Leger Fernandez’s claim is not only false—it’s blatantly contradicted by government data and the lived experiences of border state residents. During Joe Biden’s term from 2021 to early 2025, the United States suffered the worst border crisis in modern history, marked by record-shattering numbers of illegal border crossings.

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), more than 7.8 million illegal alien encounters occurred under Biden’s watch—the highest ever recorded in a comparable timeframe. This doesn’t even account for those who were not encountered or those who got away, estimated to be far exceeding a grand total of ten million illegal aliens who lawlessly flooded into the country. Fiscal Year 2022 alone saw a jaw-dropping 2.76 million encounters, and the crisis only intensified until President Donald J. Trump returned to office in January 2025.

Since Trump’s return, the border has undergone a dramatic turnaround. Reinstating policies like Remain in Mexico, expanding deportations, and authorizing the completion of the border wall, President Trump has overseen a 95% drop in illegal crossings compared to the same period the previous year, according to the Department of Homeland Security. Some immigration analysts, including those at the Center for Immigration Studies, have even noted that the U.S. is now experiencing the lowest levels of illegal crossings in decades—if not ever.

This resurgence of enforcement has also disrupted cartel operations and slowed the flow of fentanyl and human trafficking across the border, clear proof that secure borders save lives.

Compare that to the Biden years, when the administration dismantled successful Trump-era policies on Day One, ended Title 42, and effectively adopted a de facto open borders policy. The result was predictable: overwhelmed border towns, surging crime, and lives lost at the hands of illegal aliens who should never have been released into the country.

One such victim was 22-year-old Kayla Hamilton, who was raped and murdered by an MS-13 gang member allowed to enter illegally and placed into a resettlement program.

Tren de Aragua gang members from Venezuela even took over apartment complexes and terrorized residents in places such as Aurora, Colorado. Mt. Cristo Rey was also conquered by cartel smugglers under Biden’s reign.

Leger Fernandez’s desperate attempt to shield the Biden administration from accountability isn’t just dishonest—it’s dangerous. As a representative from a border state, her refusal to acknowledge the facts betrays her constituents and undermines the safety of all Americans. Her actions, along with those of her U.S. House colleagues, Melanie Stansbury and Gabe Vasquez from the New Mexico delegation, to shield illegal aliens from accountability, also speak volumes. Vasquez represents the borderlands of southern New Mexico, where he faces a tough reelection.

Thanks to President Trump, the border is finally being secured once again—but voters should remember who helped create the crisis in the first place.

MLG, Dems livid after U.S. House passes Trump’s ‘Big, Beautiful Bill’

In a triumphant moment for conservatives and the America First movement, President Donald J. Trump’s “One Big, Beautiful Bill” (BBB) passed the U.S. House by a razor-thin vote of 215–214, triggering an all-out meltdown from New Mexico Democrats and their allies on the far left. Contrarian Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) voted with Democrats on the bill on concerns of reckless spending, despite in 2023 voting to let Joe Biden raise the debt ceiling. Rep. Warren Davidson (R-Ohio) also joined Democrats and Massie in rejecting the bill that protects the Second Amendment and the country.

The historic legislation—a masterstroke of pro-growth policy, border security, and Second Amendment reinforcement—sent liberals into a frenzy. Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham and others unleashed emotional tirades over provisions prioritizing national sovereignty, economic opportunity, and constitutional freedoms. All of New Mexico’s U.S. House representatives rejected the monumental bill.

“The passage of this bill is a monumental win for American families, small businesses, gun owners, and patriots who believe in secure borders and free markets,” said Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA), who helped spearhead provisions to deregulate firearm suppressors. “This is a 2A victory and a direct hit on bloated bureaucracy.”

But while the rest of the country celebrates, New Mexico Democrats are in full panic mode.

Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham fumed, claiming the BBB “attacks Medicaid, jeopardizes food benefits for children, and undermines our progress on clean energy.” She failed to mention that the bill contains the largest middle-class tax cut in American history and reforms long-abused welfare programs to prioritize self-sufficiency and integrity. It does not, however, “attack” these programs.

Even more absurdly, Rep. Melanie Stansbury — red-faced and flustered during a press scrum — declared the bill’s funding of the border wall, Trump’s proposed “Golden Dome” missile defense shield, and national security enhancements as dangerous.

The hysterics weren’t limited to Capitol Hill. The New Mexico Democrat Party joined in, issuing a statement that the bill “will be deadly,” conveniently ignoring that their own party added $6 trillion in debt under Biden with nothing to show but inflation, energy dependence, and open borders.

Rep. Teresa Leger Fernandez chimed in with her own apocalyptic claims, accusing Republicans of orchestrating “the largest transfer of wealth from the working class to the ultra-rich in American history.” Her screed overlooked the permanent expansion of the small business deduction, protections for family farms, and tax cuts for tipped workers like waitstaff and drivers — real benefits already lauded by groups like the Job Creators Network and Uber.

Rep. Gabe Vasquez also chimed in with the same tired and discredited talking points, much the same as Fernandez and Stansbury.

In contrast to the doomsday rhetoric from Democrats, industry leaders and advocacy groups celebrated the bill’s provisions:

The National Rifle Association praised the removal of suppressors from the National Firearms Act, calling it a “monumental victory for Second Amendment rights.”

Farm Bureau, Cattlemen’s Association, and National Pork Producers Council highlighted reforms that support family farms and protect food supply chains.

Border Czar Tom Homan applauded new funding to expand ICE operations, enhance wall construction, and combat child and drug trafficking.

The American Petroleum Institute cheered restored American energy dominance and the rollback of Biden-era methane fees.

Claims that BBB will devastate Medicaid and SNAP are baseless fear-mongering. The bill implements eligibility reviews, anti-fraud measures, and streamlined assistance reforms backed by most Americans. Even the alleged $500 billion in Medicare “cuts” are nothing more than trimming waste and fraud, not touching a dime of guaranteed benefits.

And yes — the bill includes funding for the Golden Dome, a groundbreaking anti-missile defense shield to protect against threats like China, Russia, and rogue nations.

At the end of the day, the BBB is about America First. It’s about freedom, prosperity, and security. That’s why the radical left is screaming. They’ve lost control — and the people are taking their country back.

Now, the bill heads to the U.S. Senate. Americans across the nation are urging their senators to finish the job. Let the Democrats wail — the future belongs to those who build it, not those who tear it down.

Dems now victim-blaming NM Republicans after firebombing hate crime

In a show of complete shamelessness, New Mexico Democrats are blaming the victims — the New Mexico Republican Party and GOP officials — for being the target of a violent arson attack that blew up the entranceway to the Albuquerque headquarters. Rather than condemning the political violence outright, Democrats are inflaming tensions and inciting further hostility by recklessly targeting GOP leaders like Reps. John Block (R-Alamogordo), Stefani Lord (R-Sandia Park), and Republican Party Chairwoman Amy Barela. Their dangerous and provably false rhetoric not only undermines the gravity of the violence but also puts these officials at direct risk.

While the FBI and ATF investigate the fire as a suspected arson — with fire-starting materials recovered from the scene — Democrat leaders have chosen to escalate, not de-escalate. State Democrats issued a press release loaded with inflammatory claims, including the absurd accusation that Republican lawmakers had been part of a crowd “calling for murder.” Not only is this untrue, it’s libelous, as pointed out by Rep. Lord.

Rep. John Block — who is the editor and founder of the Piñon Post —was not even present at the event in question, and despite repeated attempts by Democrats to link him to the January 6 Capitol incursion, he never set foot inside or near the building nor participated in any violence. His presence at a peaceful rally attended by 53,000+ other peaceful Trump supporters — miles from the Capitol steps — appears to be another tired and debunked attempt to tie him to violence.

Chairwoman Amy Barela made clear during a Monday press conference: “This was not just an attack on our building. This was an attack on our values, our free speech, and the right of every New Mexican that wants to participate in the democratic process without fear.” She also revealed to Fox News that the targeted attack was being investigated as a hate crime.

But instead of standing with those under threat, Democrats doubled down. Congresswoman Teresa Leger Fernandez, whose words to “legislate, litigate, agitate” were cited by Republicans as dangerously timed mere hours before the firebombing, dismissed concerns with shocking callousness.

In comments to KOB 4, she accused Republicans of hypocrisy for condemning violence instead of apologizing for her call to “agitate,” claiming, “It’s ludicrous to have Republicans, who themselves have participated in violent protests, to accuse me of inciting violence.” She added, “We actually passed the sign of peace” at her town hall — an empty gesture in light of the inflammatory language she used just before the GOP headquarters went up in flames.

Leger Fernandez’s attempt to turn the blame onto Rep. Block — lying that he was involved in violent protests — further inflames the situation and spreads outright disinformation. These reckless allegations endanger GOP leaders by portraying them as instigators of violence when, in reality, they have consistently and unequivocally condemned it, including the January 6 unrest.

Instead of answering the call to stand above the violence they have inflamed, Democrats released a memorandum weaponizing the tragedy to smear GOP leaders with fabricated associations to extremism, referencing long-debunked connections and even citing the crimes of individuals wholly unrelated to the party’s current leadership. The memo accuses Chairwoman Barela of turning a blind eye to extremism simply because she has appeared in photos with GOP figures like Voice of America chief Kari Lake and Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene — a clear attempt at guilt by association rather than substantive critique.

Rep. Stefani Lord called the Democratic Party’s allegations “libelous,” and Sen. Nicole Tobiassen said their claims are “desperate.”

In the face of a violent attack, New Mexico Republicans have called for unity, calm, and a return to civility. Democrats, however, have responded with personal attacks, misinformation, and what amounts to political gaslighting — accusing their opponents of the very behaviors they themselves are fueling.

Rather than take responsibility for inflaming tensions, Rep. Leger Fernandez and her allies are engaging in dangerous victim-blaming — further endangering those already under attack. If Democrats genuinely oppose political violence, they should begin by ceasing the kind of reckless rhetoric that invites it.

‘Gaslighting liar’: Democrat scrambles for cover after terror attack on NM GOP HQ

At a Saturday town hall in Santa Fe where U.S. Rep. Teresa Leger Fernandez (D-CD-3) called for followers to “agitate” against Republicans, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and the Trump administration in general, she is now trying to save face following the firebombing of the Republican Party of New Mexico Headquarters early in the morning Sunday.

At the town hall, Leger Fernandez told the crowd, “Legislate, litigate, agitate! And you guys are part of the ‘agitate’ part.”

The inciting words were widely seen as a call for violence, mainly because they were not qualified in any way to ensure this agitation was done legally or peacefully.

Her comments come in the wake of violent domestic terrorists torching Tesla vehicles at dealerships, including on tribal land in New Mexico, where Teslas have been seen vandalized following CEO Elon Musk’s advisor role to President Donald Trump.

After the inflammatory language, violent domestic terrorists committed arson at the state GOP headquarters in Albuquerque, effectively blowing up the main entrance, causing smoke damage throughout, and wrote in a stencil on the stucco outside, “ICE = KKK.”

Many hours following the terror attack, Leger Fernandez wrote, “Political violence is unacceptable, including the arson attack on New Mexico’s GOP headquarters. The perpetrators must be held accountable. Every American should be able to freely and safely participate in our democracy.”

She added, “At my town hall yesterday, I spoke about love in action—about the importance of showing respect and listening. That is what we need right now.”

The Democrat conveniently left out the part where she called her supporters to take to agitating those who disagree with them by antagonizing conservatives — resulting hours later in a violent arson attack that could have left people injured or killed.

One X user wrote on Leger Fernandez’s post, “Uhm…  You called for people to ‘agitate’ against Trump, Musk, Republicans, conservatives, and others with whom y’all disagree. Stop lying.”

“You told them their role was to agitate. They did exactly what you told them to do. Step up and bluntly say you were wrong and to NOT cause destruction and harm. This is on you. Fix it,” wrote another.

One person added, “[Y]ou incite it at your rally then deny, gaslighting liar. you don’t represent me or NM.”

All of NM’s US House reps. back criminal aliens, vote against ‘Laken Riley Act’

The U.S. House of Representatives passed the Laken Riley Act on Tuesday, marking the first major legislation approved by the 119th Congress. The bill, named after a Georgia nursing student tragically killed by an illegal immigrant, seeks to bolster public safety by tightening immigration enforcement measures. Despite its widespread bipartisan support, New Mexico’s entire Democratic House delegation—Reps. Teresa Leger Fernandez, Gabe Vasquez, and Melanie Stansbury—voted against the measure, prioritizing policies that benefit criminal aliens over the safety of their constituents.

The bill passed with a 264 to 159 vote, earning the backing of all voting Republicans and 48 Democrats. This represents an increase in Democratic support compared to last year’s vote on the legislation, signaling growing bipartisan concern over immigration enforcement failures. “We welcome with open arms any Democrat who wants to help us solve these problems because the American people demand and deserve it,” House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., said ahead of the vote.

The Laken Riley Act requires Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to detain illegal immigrants convicted of theft-related crimes and grants states the authority to sue the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for harm caused by federal immigration policies. Proponents argue that the bill is a necessary step to hold the Biden administration accountable for its perceived leniency on border security.

“It’s striking that one of Gabe Vasquez’s first votes in Congress is against keeping New Mexico families safe. Vasquez wants an America where illegal migrants can murder, rape or steal without fear of punishment,” wrote the National Republican Congressional Committee’s Will Reinert.

“Today, Gabe Vasquez proved to New Mexicans that their safety and well-being is not his priority,” said Congressional Leadership Fund Regional Press Secretary Maureen O’Toole. “What will it take for Vasquez to protect New Mexico families and take border security seriously?”

“House Republicans won’t stop fighting to secure the border and protect American communities,” House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, R-La., said. “When will Democrats finally decide enough is enough?” Scalise emphasized that the bill directly addresses the tragic consequences of lax immigration policies, such as the murder of Laken Riley.

Jose Ibarra, the illegal immigrant convicted of Riley’s murder, had a history of prior arrests but was never detained by ICE. This failure to act, critics say, underscores systemic flaws in federal immigration enforcement. Rep. Mike Collins, R-Ga., who introduced the bill, called the measure a “commonsense” approach to protecting American lives.

Despite these arguments, Reps. Leger Fernandez, Vasquez, and Stansbury sided with the majority of their party in opposing the legislation. Their votes have sparked criticism from New Mexicans who view the bill as a straightforward measure to enhance public safety, and their votes resonate even louder since New Mexico is a border state. By opposing the act, the delegation has chosen to align with policies that prioritize illegal immigrants over the well-being of law-abiding citizens.

“I think they put politics ahead of principle,” Speaker Johnson said of Democrats who opposed the bill last year. The same criticism is now being directed at New Mexico’s representatives, who are accused of turning their backs on constituents concerned about rising crime and border insecurity.

The Laken Riley Act’s passage comes amid broader Republican efforts to reintroduce border security legislation as the party takes control of both chambers of Congress. The Senate is expected to vote on the measure later this week, potentially setting up a showdown with Joe Biden, whose administration has faced sharp criticism over its immigration policies.

Two of NM’s US House reps. reject deporting illegal alien pedos, killers

The U.S. House of Representatives recently passed the Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act, a bill introduced by Republican Representative Nancy Mace of South Carolina.

This legislation mandates the deportation or inadmissibility of illegal immigrants convicted of sex offenses, domestic violence, stalking, child abuse, or violating protection orders. The measure passed with a 266-158 vote, with every Republican and 51 Democrats in favor, while 158 Democrats opposed it.

Among New Mexico’s delegation, Rep. Gabe Vasquez was the sole vote in favor of the bill. Reps. Teresa Leger Fernandez and Melanie Stansbury voted against the measure, joining the majority of their Democratic colleagues in opposition.

The bill, which has sparked intense debate, comes at a time when immigration policies remain a contentious issue. Proponents, including Rep. Mace, argue the legislation addresses safety concerns, specifically targeting individuals convicted of heinous crimes.

In a statement provided to Newsweek, Mace criticized opponents, saying, “158 Left-wing members of Congress just voted against deporting rapists, pedophiles, and murderers of women and kids.”

Opponents, however, contend that the bill unfairly targets immigrants and could have unintended consequences for survivors of domestic violence. Representative Pramila Jayapal, a vocal critic, stated during the debate, “Scapegoating immigrants and attempting to weaponize the crime of domestic violence is appearing to be a time-honored tradition for Republicans.” She also warned that the bill might deter survivors from coming forward due to fears of deportation.

As the bill moves to the Senate, the votes of New Mexico’s representatives highlight the state’s varied perspectives on immigration and crime policy. While Vasquez’s vote may appeal to constituents favoring stricter immigration enforcement, Leger Fernandez and Stansbury’s opposition reflects a commitment to safeguarding immigrant rights and seeking comprehensive reforms.

Leger Fernandez blames staffer, ‘service blackout’ for cringe ‘Navajo taco’ post

New Mexico’s Third Congressional District Representative, Democrat Teresa Leger Fernández, has found herself at the center of a social media storm after an unfortunate mix-up involving a photo she posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. The incident has drawn comparisons to a similar gaffe made earlier this year by Democrat U.S. Sen. Martin Heinrich and has become fodder for critics questioning the authenticity and awareness of New Mexico’s elected officials.

On Thursday, Rep. Leger Fernández posted a photo with the caption, “Enjoying some Navajo tacos!” However, the image showed what appeared to be a plate of grilled lamb ribs with fry bread and blue corn mush on the side—definitely not the traditional Navajo taco she claimed to be enjoying. The post was quickly deleted but not before being captured in a screenshot by a user with the handle @AngryMomUSA, who pointed out the mistake and likened it to Heinrich’s previous blunder, where he mistakenly referred to a bighorn sheep as an elk.

The screenshot quickly gained traction on social media, with users criticizing the congresswoman for being out of touch with the very culture she represents. One user remarked, “I live in Texas, and I know that’s nowhere near a Navajo taco,” while another called her a “total fraud who has no idea what a Navajo Taco looks like,” expressing concern over her representation of Navajo residents in New Mexico.

In response to the backlash, Julian Duque, a spokesperson for Leger Fernández, explained that the mistake was due to a “miscommunication” caused by a service blackout in Gallup, where the team was visiting. According to Duque, photos and captions got mixed up, leading to the erroneous post. He clarified that the team had indeed dined at Cheii’s Restaurant in Fire Rock Casino outside Gallup, where they ordered both lamb ribs and Navajo tacos. To support the claim, Duque provided a meal receipt showing that a Navajo taco was among the items purchased.

State Rep. John Block (R-Alamogordo) responded to Lujan Grisham throwing her staffer under the bus, the exact same excuse Heinrich had, with “So, @TeresaForNM claims she either: Ate a plate of ribs AND a Navajo taco in one sitting OR She was going to pose with a staffer’s Navajo Taco and claim she was the one wolfing it down,” adding, “Also, I was in Gallup last week. And I had service ALL OVER GALLUP, including at Fire Rock Casino. Why do they lie?”

The timing of this misstep is particularly sensitive as Leger Fernández gears up for her re-election campaign, where she will face Sharon Clahchischilliage, a Navajo Republican candidate. Critics of Leger Fernández, including those who have seized on this latest incident, argue that the mistake underscores a disconnect between the congresswoman and the cultural traditions of the Navajo people, a key constituency in her district.

The comparison to Heinrich’s earlier social media gaffe only amplifies the perception that some of New Mexico’s leaders are out of touch with the state’s cultural and natural heritage. Heinrich had attributed his error to a mix-up in photos sent by his staff, a defense that drew mixed reactions from the public.

Leger Fernandez posts, quickly deletes embarrassingly out-of-touch photo

On Thursday, far-left U.S. Rep. Teresa Leger Fernandez of the Third Congressional District, a Democrat, posted an embarrassing photo where she said she was “[e]njoying some Navajo tacos!”

However, the photo she shared included no such food item. Instead, it appears she ordered grilled lamb ribs that came with a fry bread and blue corn mush on the side — not a Navajo taco.

The photo, which was quickly deleted by Leger Fernandez, appears to have been taken at Cheii’s restaurant located in Fire Rock Casino outside of Gallup.

The photo was not deleted before X user @AngryMomUSA grabbed a screenshot and posted it, writing, “Like @MartinHeinrich’s ‘elk’ post, this is @RepTeresaLF ‘s “Navajo Taco,’” referring to an embarrassing post Heinrich made at the beginning of the year showing him posing in front of a longhorn sheep, which he labeled an “elk.”

The X account continued, “Her post was deleted btw. Do any of these people even live here in NM?! It’s no wonder that they ate completely out of touch with a day in the life of the most violent, uneducated state in the US.”

Leger Fernandez’s post was chided by many commenters, including state Rep. John Block (R-Alamogordo), who pointed out the location of the photo and even shared a screenshot of Cheii’s menu, which displayed what the restaurant’s Navajo taco actually looks like.

“That don’t look like no Navajo Taco I’ve ever eaten. This does,” wrote another X user, sharing a photo of a genuine Navajo taco.

“Total fraud, who has no idea what a Navajo Taco looks like. Terrifying that Teresa Fernandez represents the Navajo residents of New Mexico. Even worse is that she CHAIRS the House’s subcommittee for Indigenous People!! Why is this fraud representing Natives?” one user questioned.

After Heinrich’s elk gaffe, he quickly swept it under the rug and blamed a staffer for the flub. It is unclear if Leger Fernandez, who represents all of the New Mexico side of the Navajo Nation in the U.S. House, will do the same.

All three of NM’s congressional reps. want illegals to vote in U.S. elections

House Republicans and several Democrats approved a bill on Wednesday to expand proof-of-citizenship requirements for federal elections and impose voter roll purges on states. The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act passed with a 221-198 vote, with five Democrats supporting it.

Despite this, New Mexico’s Democrat Reps. Gabe Vasquez, Melanie Stansbury, and Teresa Leger Fernandez opposed the bill, showing a clear divide even within the Democrat Party. The vote shows the trio’s support for allowing illegal aliens to vote in U.S. elections.

The legislation is unlikely to progress in the Senate due to strong Democratic resistance. President Biden has also promised to veto it. Critics argue that the bill’s core idea—making noncitizen voting illegal—is redundant and more likely to disenfranchise U.S. citizens than prevent illegal voting.

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) insisted on the House floor that the bill is necessary because noncitizens have participated in U.S. elections, despite existing laws against it. Johnson stated, “Even though it’s already illegal, this is happening.” He further emphasized the need for the legislation to prevent noncitizen voting and to make it unlawful within states.

The far-left “Brennan Center for Justice” cataloged 30 suspected cases of noncitizen voting out of 23.5 million. The notion that noncitizens are voting and that Democrats are importing undocumented immigrants for electoral gains is central to the bill’s purpose.

The Heritage Foundation found illegal alien voting in abundance, including 11,000 illegals previously registered on Virginia’s voter rolls.

Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas), who introduced the bill, argued that progressive Democrats use open border policies and attack election integrity laws to transform America. Roy’s stance is that Democrats aim to leverage undocumented immigrants to maintain one-party rule.

“This is a matter of national security and election integrity, and Gabe Vasquez is willing to compromise both just to avoid contradicting Biden’s open border. NM-02 deserves better than someone who would sell out their votes like that,” wrote National Republican Congresional Committee Spokeswoman Delanie Bomar following the vote.

“The only reason New Mexico’s Democratic representatives would oppose states requiring proof of citizenship to vote is because they want illegal immigrants to vote in our elections,” said Republican Party of New Mexico Spokeswoman Ash Soular. “They stood by while Joe Biden let 10 million illegal immigrants into our country and now, they’re going to stand by while our national security, election integrity and democracy are threatened. Only American citizens should be allowed to vote in U.S. elections. The SAVE Act is a common-sense and crucial step to restoring confidence in our voting system.”

NM Dems lose their minds after AZ court upholds pro-life law

On Tuesday, the Arizona Supreme Court upheld the state’s longtime pro-life law, which effectively prohibited abortions in the state.

“The decision — which could shutter abortion clinics in the state — effectively undoes a lower court’s ruling that stated that a more recent 15-week ban from March 2022 superseded the 1864 law,” one report noted.

The state’s pro-abortion Democrat Gov. Katie Hobbs claimed the decision marked “a dark day” in her remarks at a press conference, despite babies’ lives being saved after the ruling.

Following the landmark decision, New Mexico Democrats wailed on X, formerly Twitter, about the decision.

Democrat Rep. Teresa Leger Fernandez of the Third Congressional District called the ruling “disgraceful,” calling women who travel to New Mexico to abort their babies “healthcare refugees” in a severely unhinged post

Democrat Sen. Martin Heinrich blasted the decision, claiming the decision will “strain access in states like New Mexico.” Previously, Heinrich admitted that New Mexico taxpayers are footing the bill for abortion tourism.

Rep. Melanie Stansbury of the First District, a radical Democrat, used the decision to try and convince voters to support the far-left, abortion-up-to-birth Democrats, writing, “Across this country, we’re seeing our right to reproductive healthcare attacked and taken away. When we put Republicans in power this is what we get. In November vote for your rights, vote for Democrats.”

Democrat Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham wrote, “Today’s extreme decision to reinstate a 160-year-old ban on legal abortion is a draconian step backward that puts the health of countless Arizona women at risk. New Mexico continues to provide access to abortion and other reproductive health services,” in a melodramatic post.

Gabe Vasquez, who represents the Second District, a far-left Democrat, has so far not released a statement, although he is fervently pro-abortion up-to-birth and endorsed by radical abortion groups.

The New Mexico Democrat Party wrote in a post, “Today, the Arizona Supreme Court upheld an antiquated abortion ban … because Trump overturned Roe v. Wade – just one day after he looked into the camera & bragged that he is ‘proudly the person responsible’ for overturning Roe.”

The Democrats went on to attack Republican U.S. Senate nominee Nella Domenici.
