Gov. MLG threatens new lockdown if New Mexicans don’t wear masks in their own homes

On Thursday, during Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s COVID-19 press conference with Health Secretary Dr. David Scrase. They announced new coronavirus cases and 21 deaths they claim are due to COVID-19. During the briefing, Lujan Grisham brought up her frustration with New Mexicans not following her strict public health orders. 

“You’re going to hear from medical professionals that say you should get too used to wearing a mask, even indoors in your own home because too many of us are asymptomatic, and we just don’t know,” said the Governor.

“And you have to stay away from other individuals. I cannot tell you how many times we all see — all of us — on social media where people are taking photos without their masks right next to each other and saying, ‘Well… you know, I was six feet… I had a mask on.’ You were right next to another human being. You cannot get close to other humans. If you are six feet — within six feet of another New Mexican, you are too close. You are increasing the opportunity for this virus to spread,” continued Lujan Grisham.

The Governor added, “I implore all of us. These are the things that will make the difference. If we do not do them, more drastic decision making will occur and we will have a horrible November and a dramatically bad December. And nobody in this state deserves that.”

“It’s hard for me to remain patient,” said Dr. Scrase. “We are preparing all of our institutions for an Italy-like situation in the next couple weeks.” He also said he predicts the COVID-19 pandemic to extend well over another year’s time.

Lujan Grisham also threatened small businesses with a new public health order, saying, “For every single business that has somehow picked one of the public health options for an essential business and ignored the five-person gathering, that’s no longer going to be a loophole. This wasn’t intended to crest opportunities for folks to further spread COVID. So that’s going to get done immediately. It’s going to affect a whole number of businesses.” 

The Governor added, “And you know we’re doing our crackdown, and you know that we’re doing our enforcement,” adding, “More is coming because those opportunities for us to do less because we are doing more in mask-wearing, social distancing, and other public health hygiene didn’t occur.”

Lujan Grisham also complained about local Law Enforcers unwilling to enforce her mandates.

Dr. Scrase spoke about a “wedding” and “potluck” being a “spreader” infecting 15 people and urging support of the Governor’s lockdown. 

Although new public health orders went into effect today, the Governor’s strong stance on a potential new lockdown appears inevitable, based on her comments during the press conference, especially with her bleak outlook on the months of November and December.

State senator who defended anti-Police rioters now begging for Police protection after getting hate mail

Over the weekend, state Sen. Jacob Candelaria (D-Albuquerque), known for his far-left extremism, took to Twitter to bully citizens peacefully protesting Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s public health orders in Santa Fe, as well as others on a variety of issues. 

He branded the peaceful group of folks as “rioters,” and claimed the event was a “super spreader,” despite his participation in a Black Lives Matter/Antifa “protest” in June, where he live-streamed himself without a mask and not following the CDC’s health guidelines of staying six feet apart. This was also in violation of Gov. Lujan Grisham’s health orders at the time barring large gatherings, and recommending masks/social distancing. By his own definition, he also participated in a “super spreader” event. 

The protest devolved into a lawless mob of violence, where small businesses in Downtown Albuquerque suffered hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage. At the time, Candelaria offered free legal services to the rioters. Months later, business owners are still trying to reconcile Candelaria’s damage cause by potential clients. 

Candelaria has targeted Law Enforcers on multiple occasions, including supporting a proposal to “demilitarize” the Police and bullying local sheriffs who declined to enforce Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s strict lockdown policies during the coronavirus pandemic. 

He claimed Bernalillo County Sheriff Manny Gonzales, “is part of the problem” and that he “refuses to embrace basic reforms and embraces #MAGA.” 

During the weekend, he also targeted a constituent and pro-life priest with sexually suggestive GIFs and bullied a Republican state representative who is running for the New Mexico Senate. The priest, who tweeted his support for the dignity of human life and no sex outside of marriage, got this reply from Candelaria: “I LOVE BEING GAY. That’s a fact,” along with a GIF of a man taking off his shirt.

Later on Sunday, Candelaria got hate mail from a clearly unhinged individual who left voicemails including homophobic slurs and the line “we’re going to get you out one way or another, motherf***er.” Candelaria responded on Twitter, claiming the Police were not responding fast enough and saying he was going to “flee” Albuquerque with his husband for his own safety. 

He tagged Gov. Lujan Grisham and Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller on multiple melodramatic Twitter threads, pleading with them for “a public call for some sort of protection until this investigation can be done and completed.” He demanded protection due to him being a state legislator and claimed he had no response from city or state police, other than officers coming to his house. According to one report by the Albuquerque Journal, “he grew frustrated when officers suggested the voice messages were not necessarily a threat.” He claimed the Governor’s office said there was no “budget” to protect him.

He wrote, “I understand you are busy with the transition @GovMLG, but I believe when credible threats of violence are made against any member of #nmleg, it should not take hours and dozens of calls to get anyone to take the threat seriously.” 

After months of railing against Law Enforcers, including the Bernalillo County Sheriff, the state senator’s calls for special protection from the very entities he has targeted have fallen flat in what appears to be a ploy to gain attention ahead of the November 3 election. Out-of-state ‘eco-left’ corporation acquires PNM Resources after donating thousands to MLG, Dems

On Wednesday, the wind energy company AVANGRID announced it would be acquiring PNM Resources, New Mexico’s largest utility. AVANGRID is the third-largest wind utility company in the U.S. The Spanish Iberdrola, S.A owns the company. 

Some groups are blasting the utility’s acquisition of PNM, saying AVANDRID is an “eco-company based thousands of miles away that doesn’t seem to care about our energy workers,” as Larry Behrens of Power the Future noted.

“We are excited to be part of this transaction that provides so many benefits to our customers, communities, employees and shareholders,” said Pat Vincent-Collawn, chairman, president and CEO of PNM Resources. “Our combined companies provide greater opportunities to invest in the infrastructure and new technologies that will help us navigate our transition to clean energy while maintaining our commitments to our local teams and communities.”

But the move comes after Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham and New Mexico Democrats took thousands of dollars from the out-of-state conglomerate, with its U.S.-based headquarters in Orange, CT. According to public records on the New Mexico Secretary of State’s website, the company donated $1,000 in October to the New Mexico House Democratic Campaign Committee and directly after the 2018 election, it donated $2,500 to Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s campaign.

According to AVANGRID’s press release about the PNM deal, “AVANGRID currently owns 1,900 MW of renewable energy and a pipeline of 1,400 MW of renewables assets in New Mexico and Texas.  In addition, Iberdrola operates a retail business in Texas. For more than 15 years, Iberdrola has also funded the King Felipe VI Chair in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of New Mexico.” 

The company also noted in its press release their plan to withdraw from the San Juan Generating Station near Farmington. “The closure of the generating station will destroy hundreds of jobs and cause revenue losses for New Mexico communities,” notes Power the Future. 

The organization previously noted AVANGRID’s involvement in New Mexico politics in May, raising questions about its donations to Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham.

In 2019, Grisham also took a vacation to Gran Canaria, an island in Las Palma Spain, according to documents obtained through an Inspection of Public Records Act request, showing the Governor had Lt. Gov. Howie Morales serve as acting-Governor while she was out of the country. Iberdrola has multiple service points and locations on the Gran Canaria island. 

It is unclear why anyone lobbied the governor by financing the trip or how much New Mexicans paid for her non-publicized private trip abroad. However, the New Mexico taxpayers paid for her security while she was in Spain.

It is also unclear if there were any joiners on the trip other than her staff and security agents. Could the Governor’s close friend and former business partner New Mexico Rep. Debbie Armstrong have joined the trip as well?

In 2015, PNM opened a wind farm in Cibola County, which appears to be the wind farm Gov. Lujan Grisham shot her 2018 “Turbine” ad, where she touted her “green energy” proposals while running for governor. AVANGRID has a wind farm called “El Cabo” in Torrence County. 

In 2019, NPR noted wind energy’s issue with turbine blades going to the landfill, negating the supposed “green” value of the energy source. Millions of birds and bats also face their demise each year due to the turbines.

MLG calls karaoke and bingo ‘high-risk activities’ during COVID-19 news conference

On Tuesday, Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham announced more COVID-19 restrictions during her weekly news conference, including required spot-testing workers for restaurants, keeping a three-week log of all customers for contact tracing, a curfew by 10:00 p.m. daily, and a mandated online certification by October 30.

Previously, during her September 24 COVID-19 update, Lujan Grisham raised eyebrows when she said that “cornhole tournaments” are a “high-risk” activity. She doubled down on her latest presser, this time adding in bingo and karaoke as “high-risk.”

“We got a report in a community about karaoke and bingo. These are high-risk activities that have created spread,” said Lujan Grisham. She added, “COVID will never be over. The virus will always live among us.”

The newest restrictions are the beginning of a backward jump on opening up the state. She has repeatedly claimed to care about New Mexico’s economy, however, her actions to clamp down on citizens’ everyday activities shows she is willing to hurt businesses in order to fulfill her agenda. 

Big box stores like Walmart and Costco are still allowed to operate with few restrictions, while restaurants and houses of worship have strict mandates.

Don’t listen to the partisan fear-mongering: voting in-person is safe

In recent weeks, Democrats and the left-wing media have attempted to cast doubt on the safety of voting in-person, with story headlines reading things like “Voting fears in New Mexico amplified amid 2020 tensions.” 

Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham has been fear-mongering about safety concerns regarding in-person voting, uring “every voter in New Mexico to request an absentee ballot and vote safely by mail during the COVID-19 pandemic.” 

However, June’s primary election went forth without any health concerns or voting locations closed down due to a COVID-19 outbreak. 

Despite the Governor attempting to stigmatize in-person voting, it is the safest way to cast one’s ballot–both in terms of one’s health and one’s security that their vote will be counted. But don’t take my word for it. Listen to the words of Democrats across the state who affirm how safe voting is:

Democrat Bernalillo County Clerk Linda Stover, who oversees the most populous county in New Mexico, said in-person voting is “probably one of the safest places to be in town.” 

Democrat Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver acknowledged the safety of in-person voting. She said, “in-person voting is safe and we’ll be safe here” in all 33 counties of the state. Toulouse previously fought hard at the New Mexico Supreme Court, although unsuccessfully, to hold an all-mail-in election. Democrats claimed it was an “assault on Democracy” not to eliminate in-person voting. 

Although absentee voting is an option, it is not guaranteed, as voting in-person is, that one’s ballot will not be thrown out or discarded. According to a report by NBC News, there is a higher chance that absentee ballots made by people of color will have their mail-in ballots thrown away or disqualified.

University of Florida professor Daniel A. Smith said: 

Hispanic and Black voters were more than twice as likely to have their ballot rejected as white voters in Florida’s 2018 general election. In May, he co-published a review of Georgia’s 2018 midterm election data that found a similar pattern of rejection for voters of color.

When it comes to mail voting, names and addresses can suggest race and create opportunities for implicit bias or added scrutiny. In Georgia, Democratic officials said that election officials can access a voter’s race when they’re checking for a signature match. The state party successfully sued to require multiple poll workers to sign off on a signature mismatch, which they hope will reduce bias.

NBC News writes:

The most common reason ballots are rejected is that they arrive late. Mail service is less reliable in lower-income communities, and many Native American reservations do not have home delivery addresses used for mail voting. The pandemic has stressed mail service across the board, and amid the fiscal crisis, the U.S. Postal Service has ordered recent changes that are expected to slow the mail service.

Based on the available evidence, voting in-person is not only the safest way for voters to cast their votes, it is the preferred method to ensure every voter’s ballot is counted. It is recommended that if a voter wishes to order an absentee ballot, they return their ballot to the County Clerk’s office by mail at least two full weeks before the November 3 election, otherwise, they should hand-deliver their ballot to the County Clerk’s office in their respective counties.

Gov. Lujan Grisham’s gargantuan flip-flop on fossil fuels

In October of 2019, Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham told New Mexicans that she supports the oil and natural gas industry, giving a glowing review of the industry. She said, “I could spend well longer than 30 minutes telling you about the benefits of what’s going on in the state of New Mexico because of what’s going on in the oil and gas industry — opportunities that we haven’t seen, ever” at an event for the New Mexico Oil and Gas Association. According to the Las Cruces Sun-News, Lujan Grisham gave her “professed her full-throttled support for the oil sector” during the speech.

During her 2018 campaign, Lujan Grisham took well over $198,480 from the oil and gas sector and took tens of thousands of oil and gas dollars during her previous runs for U.S. Congress, making her contribution total add up to $230,430, according to the government watchdog group FollowTheMoney.org.  

However, the Governor’s actions in office, as well as her recent statements paint a quite different picture, saying during a forum with the U.S. Climate Alliance that “we need to transition out of fossil fuels,” which goes in direct opposition to her previous statements. She also claimed that the oil and natural gas industry “fully embrace” the idea of “climate change.” 

As well, during her reign as Governor, she signed into law the most radical state-wide “climate change” policy, dubbed as the “Mini” Green New Deal, or the “Energy Transition Act.” the 2019 Act will which will ban all oil production by 2045, which will not fare well for the fossil fuels and energy industry in the Land of Enchantment.

“For a Governor who squandered a surplus of over a billion dollars to call for the end of the state’s largest revenue source is nothing short of mind-boggling. In the past, the Governor has voiced her support for the oil and gas industry, but she tells a much different story to her radical environmental supporters. New Mexicans deserve to know if she’s lying to them or lying to us,” said Larry Behrens of Power The Future.

MLG has hissy fit on Twitter after Pelosi refuses to negotiate with Trump on COVID-19 relief

In September, Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham testified in front of the U.S. House Committee on Financial Services, asking them to bail out New Mexico, citing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and low oil prices. 

During her testimony, she repeatedly claimed she would be “tightening” her “belt” in the coming months and years. However, she has spent billions of state dollars on her costly pet projects, including implementing a new state department offering free daycare and the “Energy Transition Act,” which will totally wipe out all oil and gas producers within a few short years. Currently, 39% of New Mexico’s budget is sustained by the oil and gas industry.

While President Trump’s team has been trying to work on a second round of COVID-19 relief for Americans, Democrats have refused to negotiate with the Administration’s proposals, the President offering up to $1.6 trillion in relief, whereas Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and her caucus have refused to make concessions from their $2.4 trillion proposal. 

On Tuesday, President Trump wrote on Twitter, “Nancy Pelosi is asking for $2.4 Trillion Dollars to bailout poorly run, high crime, Democrat States, money that is in no way related to COVID-19. We made a very generous offer of $1.6 Trillion Dollars and, as usual, she is not negotiating in good faith. I am rejecting their request, and looking to the future of our Country. I have instructed my representatives to stop negotiating until after the election when, immediately after I win, we will pass a major Stimulus Bill that focuses on hardworking Americans and Small Business. I have asked [Senate Majority Leader] Mitch McConnell not to delay, but to instead focus full time on approving my outstanding nominee to the United States Supreme Court, Amy Coney Barrett. Our Economy is doing very well. The Stock Market is at record levels, JOBS and unemployment also coming back in record numbers. We are leading the World in Economic Recovery, and THE BEST IS YET TO COME!” 

Clearly rattled by the President’s statement, Lujan Grisham retweeted the President’s post, writing, “Thousands of New Mexicans need the federal government’s help right now. Not November, not whenever you get around to it. The pandemic is real, the economic crisis is real – whether you believe in them or not, Mr. President. Do your job.” 

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Lujan Grisham refused to trim the fat off of her bloated 2020 $7.6 billion state budget, trimming it to only $7.22 billion, while cutting $318 critical federal COVID-19 relief for tribal communities and local governments. 

Lujan Grisham has totally locked down New Mexico, which has killed most industries, including the tourism industry, which trickles down into many sectors of the economy. As of the latest jobs number report by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, New Mexico’s unemployment rate was 34% higher than the unemployment rate nationwide and nearly double that of every neighboring state, including Colorado, which is also run by a Democrat governor. The neighboring states’ unemployment numbers are as follows: Arizona at 5.9%, Colorado at 6.7%, Texas at 6.8%, and Utah at 4.1%.


Lujan Grisham has refused to ease coronavirus restrictions in recent weeks, with the state’s small businesses and even larger businesses being forced into temporary or permanent closure. Just this week, the governor has gone after a trampoline park for reopening, while the state has seen more businesses shuttered.

MLG claims GOP trying to ‘rob the soul of our state’ by working to defeat Ben Ray Luján

Ben Ray Luján is spooked out of his wits at the prospect of Republicans; specifically, his GOP opponent Mark Ronchetti winning the open U.S. Senate seat and other races across the nation. In a rare move, Luján had Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham (who may or may not be his cousin) sign an email for him asking for donations. 

Lujan Grisham wrote in the email: 

I’m proud to be the governor of New Mexico every day.

But right now, I need your urgent help to protect it. Here’s why:

— First, Trump barged into New Mexico, held a massive rally, and pledged to turn us red.

— Then, Republicans launched hundreds of thousands in attack ads to take Ben Ray down.

— Now, alarming new polls show Republicans are just SINGLE digits from overtaking him.

We cannot allow Trump and his Republicans to flood New Mexico with cash and rob the soul of our state for their political gain.

Will you rush $10 before the 72-hour deadline to ensure Ben Ray WINS this Senate race?

The move by Lujan Grisham to sign email copy for Luján may mean Republicans truly have a shot at taking the Senate seat, with the Left freaking out, at least through email correspondence, with doom and gloom rhetoric claiming the President of the United States (including New Mexico) “barged” into the state (despite it being in the United States), among other heated lines.

Particularly noteworthy is Lujan Grisham’s plea that Trump and his Republican friends are “robbing” the “soul” of our state for political gain when in reality, Lujan Grisham and Luján have been on the forefront of anti-New Mexico policies that are harming New Mexico and the economy.

Some such policies that are noteworthy include their obsession with legalizing abortion up-to-birth and infanticide in New Mexico. Lujan Grisham pushed hard for a bill to strip protections in state statute for unborn infants, which the Democrat Legislature overwhelmingly rejected. Luján refused to sign onto a bipartisan bill called the “Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act,” which would have given basic medical care to babies born through a failed abortion, which his fellow New Mexico Democrat representatives Deb Haaland and Xochitl Torres Small also refused to sign onto. 

Lujan Grisham also passed New Mexico’s “mini” Green New Deal, aiming to wipe out all state oil production. At the same time, Luján has endorsed the actual Green New Deal championed by New York socialist Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Lujan Grisham signed a bill stripping counties’ “Right to Work” ordinances away, forcing people to join bureaucratic unions that eat away at workers’ paychecks, as well as bills to raise working families’ taxes. She also supports taxing seniors’ Social Security checks, which folks have paid into their entire working lives. 

Now, as President Trump has signaled he may be coming to New Mexico soon, Lujan Grisham and her (cousin?) are running scared, flinging any heated rhetoric at all at the wall, hoping something, anything sticks.

CA’s Gov. Newsom signs order banning gas-powered car sales by 2035—NM could be next

On Wednesday, California’s Gov. Gavin Newsom announced that he would bar the sale of new gas-powered vehicles starting in 2035 via executive order. 

“Transportation represents more than 50% of California’s greenhouse gas emissions, Newsom said on Wednesday before signing the executive order,” reports the Washington Examiner. 

“Newsom said the move to bar internal combustion engines is an economic opportunity for California, which alone has 34 manufacturers of electric cars.” 

The extreme move means California’s residents will be faced with an imminent mandate to buy electric cars, which could hurt working families who cannot afford to invest in such expensive technology.

Newsom’s executive action could very well be mimicked by New Mexico, as Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham has followed suit with California on multiple energy-based issues, such as signing New Mexico’s “Energy Transition Act,” which will ban all oil production by 2045. 

According to a 2019 review by Power The Future, “Governor Lujan Grisham traveled an estimated 6,000 miles by car and took 15 flights across the country from May through July while utilizing fossil fuel-based transportation. This despite her promise to ‘promote the purchase and use of electric vehicles in our state, in order to help make it a center of that growing industry.’” The numbers are likely to be much higher today, as the Governor has tried to build a national presence to find a spot in the Joe Biden administration if he were to win the Presidency in November. 

In September 2019, Lujan Grisham unilaterally decided to increase the cost of cars with increased emissions standards with vehicles in the 2022 model year, which is expected to increase the average fuel economy to 52 mpg, according to the Albuquerque Journal.  

“To combat climate change, to keep New Mexico’s citizens safe, to protect the air we all breathe, it’s essential we adopt more stringent clean car standards that increase fuel economy and reduce emissions,” she said at the time. 

Power The Future’s notes that the move is predicted that car prices will rise an average of $2,700 thanks to the “regressive green agenda” set forth by the Governor.

Power The Future’s Larry Behrens wrote regarding Newsom’s executive order, “Governor Lujan Grisham has never heard of a radical California idea she didn’t like, and this one is no different. Late last year, the Governor took fossil fuel-powered transportation to New York City to sign her own extreme vehicle emissions edict. When they were asked about it, the Governor’s office worked hard to hide the fact her actions were a carbon-copy of California’s.”

“If the Governor wants to copy California and lecture New Mexican’s about what to drive, she might want to first look at the gas-mileage of her own massive SUV.”

Due to California’s left-wing energy policies, they have experienced widespread energy blackouts across the state, which has resulted in a loss of life and threatening wildfires.

It is not immediately known if the Governor is to follow suit with California and sign an executive order of her own. However, electing a pro-energy majority in the state Legislature is critical in 2020 to counteract the imbalance of anti-oil and gas rhetoric coming from the Governor and her allies in the state House and Senate.

On Sunday evening, a handful of radical far-left organizations, such as ProgressNow NM, OLÉ, Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, and others will hold a rally honoring late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who died on Friday night, and a “Call to Action” to support “progressive” candidates and causes.

According to the event, which will be held at 6:00 p.m. MDT at Tiguex Park, “there’s still more to do. Now, it’s up to us to continue the fight. Before we even had a chance to mourn her loss the Senate has committed to appointing a new conservative justice. As in 2018 when we felt the outrage and fear of Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination, our rights are once again on the line. Rights for reproductive health and justice, LGBTQ+, equal pay, criminal justice reform, immigration, public education, environmental protections, worker’s rights and so much more.” 

The band of pro-abortion, pro-illegal immigration and other fringe groups say in their invite tp “Please bring your mask and practice social distancing,” however over 1,000 people have responded to the Facebook event, meaning it is unlikely they will be able to abide by the Governor’s public health order barring gatherings of ten people or less. 

Last week, Democrat Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s Health Department sent a targeted letter to the Republican Party of New Mexico for holding a “Women for Trump” bus tour, where the Department contends it violated the health order due to more than ten people congregating and allegedly not enough people wearing masks or “social distancing.”

Although the leftist event will have more than ten attendees, it is unknown whether the left-wing Governor will reprimand the Democrat-aligned groups as they attempt to fire up their supporters using the death of Bader Ginsburg as their “call to action.” As of 11:45 a.m. MDT, 208 people had RSVP’d as “going” to the event while 829 were “interested.”
