Xochitl Torres Small running scared after NRCC ad calls out her loyalty to radical environmental groups

On Tuesday, Rep. Xochitl Torres Small sent out a panicky fundraising email begging for funds after the National Republican Congressional Committee began running ads in the Second Congressional District calling her out for taking over $175,000 in campaign cash from radical environmental groups and supporting radical anti-oil and gas legislation.

The ad says, “Radical environmentalists want to shut down New Mexico’s energy jobs and pass their Green New Deal. And they need Xochitl Torres Small’s help to do it. That’s why they’ve funded her campaign with over $175,000.”

In her email, Torres Small claimed, “Our opponent Yvette and her friends in DC know they can’t win this race on the facts, so they’re turning to lies and smears.”

But she does not say which claims in the ad are smears, and according to the ad, all facts are, indeed, accurate. Torres Small has taken over $175,000 from radial environmental groups and donors tied with “climate change” policy, and many of them support the Green New Deal, according to the Federal Election Commission (FEC).

In 2018, Torres Small ran as a radical environmentalist, garnering support from Green New Deal-backing groups such as the League of Conservation Voters and the Sierra Club. From just these two organizations, she received $60,961.62 between 2018 and 2020. These numbers do not reflect the latest FEC filing period, ending on August 31, 2020.

Torres Small supports New Mexico’s “mini” Green New Deal, which will wipe out the oil and gas industry by 2045. Torres Small’s email pleas appear to be another attempt by her campaign to hide her radical record, this time on environmental policy, in order to try and woo swing voters, some of whom voted for her in 2018.

NM Dems ballot harvesting votes from our senior citizens

As exclusively reported on last week by the Piñon Post, New Mexico Democrats are fully prepared to use the underhanded practice of “ballot harvesting,” which entails activists harvesting ballots by going to specific peoples’ residences and homes and picking up their absentee ballots.

There’s no telling what happens to these ballots once they are taken from the voter, which is what brings grave concern, and signs of voter fraud, as widely reported on. Multiple cases from California and North Carolina to Florida show multiple candidates ordering ballots for voters without their consent, then filling them out themselves or have the voters fill out the ballots while they are present at their homes, then dropping them off at polling locations.

Statistics show fraud occurring, such as in North Carolina’s 9th District race in 2018, where a Republican candidate allegedly paid a political activist hundreds of dollars to collect ballots and/or witness the filling out of ballots, which could be tracked by that person being a “witness” to the completion of the ballots.

New Mexico doesn’t require a “witness” when filling out an absentee ballot, which makes it just that much easier for fraud to sneak in. According to the Daily Signal, “Previously, New Mexico required the signature of a witness as well as the voter on an absentee ballot. However, in 1993, the state Legislature passed a law removing that requirement.”

States are working to curb the fraud by passing bills banning the practice of ballot harvestings, such as in Montana and Arizona, with the Arizona law being challenged and upheld in federal appeals court. However, New Mexico Democrats revealed that the practice of ballot harvesting is happening this election, and targeting some of our most vulnerable communities, including senior citizens.

One of the Democrat Party’s caucus chairs, Pamelya Herndon, revealed on a fundraising call for U.S. Senate candidate Rep. Ben Ray Luján and congressional candidate Rep. Xochitl Torres Small, that the Democrat Party is actively organizing members to visit elderly family members and drop off their ballots at polling locations. She said that the law allows people to deliver “at least one absentee ballot to a polling location” from a person who is not themselves.

She said, “Go by and talk to your senior citizens. See if those ballots have been put in the mail, and if not, pick it up and take it to a polling location… you can take at least one absentee ballot for a member of your family to a polling location. We want every ballot counted, Congressman [Ben Ray Luján] because we want to see that you and Xochitl Torres Small and everybody on that ballot for the Democratic Party gets elected.

According to state law the practice of picking up and delivering absentee ballots is as follows:

A voter, caregiver to that voter or member of that voter’s immediate family may deliver that voter’s absentee ballot to the county clerk in person or by mail, provided that the voter has subscribed the outer envelope of the absentee ballot.

Democrats are clearly intent on utilizing absentee ballots to push them over the finish line, with ballot harvesting in full-swing to help them do just that. With races such as New Mexico’s Second Congressional District in play once again this year, the stakes could not be higher, as the District was flipped Democrat only due to mysterious absentee ballots being counted last-minute.

An independent audit found countless instances of abnormalities in the votes, with counties such as Doña Ana showing multiple irregularities. “Fully 25 percent of the people who purportedly requested absentee ballots from the Doña Ana County clerk didn’t mail them back,” according to the report, going on to say the situation was “suggestive of the possibility that someone was submitting absentee ballot applications for Democrats and those deemed likely to vote for Democrats.”

“In Eddy County, Torres-Small only received 30.9% of the EV/ED vote (she lost by over two to one margin), but she won the absentee voting with 54.7% of the vote. The same anomaly occurred in both Otero and Sierra Counties — both unique and significant especially in Otero County because Herrell lost her home county in the absentee vote despite a sizeable victory on Election Day and early voting,” the report concluded.

The stakes could not be higher this Election Day, as President Trump is on the top of the ticket, and Republicans look to take back both chambers of the state Legislature, as well as congressional seats, including the Second District. As Herndon explained, ballot harvesting is happening, and voters must keep a watchful eye on their ballots, meaning they should do all they can do drop off their absentee ballots themselves at a polling location or just vote in-person on Election Day to curb the fraud.

Yvette Herrell’s race to reclaim New Mexico’s Second Congressional District

As a working mother and journalist living in New Mexico, I’ve recently become interested in politics. In doing so, I have learned a great deal about our candidates, and the conservative ideologies and values each of them represents. Over the next 82 days, I would like to educate the voters and highlight our 2020 Candidates for the General Election under our great President, Donald Trump.

Today, I’d like to showcase Yvette Herrell’s Campaign for the 2nd Congressional District. Yvette Herrell has been a longtime voice for New Mexicans! She served four terms in the New Mexico House of Representatives and is now running for U.S. House in New Mexico’s 2nd Congressional District. She’s a lifelong Republican and avid protector of our constitutional rights!

Herrell has raised an astounding $1.3 million thus far in her 2020 campaign. She received the prestigious 2020 Iron Lady Award and was named a “Young Gun” by the National Republican Congressional Committee. The Washington Post interestingly named CD-2 the most competitive district in the nation, making Herrell’s campaign exciting as we work to create a red wave in 2020.

Yvette was born on March 16th, 1964, in Ruidoso, NM, and has been a lifelong member of the Cherokee Nation. After graduation, she attended Cloudcroft High School and obtained her legal secretary certificate from ITT Tech School of Business in Boise, Idaho. She went on to own several small businesses and became a real estate agent in Alamogordo.

In 2010, Herrell challenged incumbent Representative Gloria Vaughn for District 51 in the New Mexico House of Representatives, winning with 864 votes against Vaughn in the June 1, 2010, Republican Primary. She went on to win the General Election on November 2nd, 2010, with a total of 3,077 votes against Susan Medina, the Democrat nominee. In 2012, Yvette Herrell was unopposed in the June 5th, 2020 Republican Primary and won with 2,128 votes and also won the Nov 6th, 2012 General Election with 7,750 Votes. She won the District two more times in 2014 and 2016 before running for Congress in 2018.

Yvette Herrell ran a very close race in the 2018 election against attorney Xochitl Torres Small. At the end of election night, Herrell was in the lead with most media outlets dubbing her the winner until the next day when more ballots were counted, and Torres Small was announced the official winner, taking the lead over Yvette with absentee ballots. Talk of voter fraud from Herrell’s campaign surfaced, although never proven.

Now in 2020, Yvette Herrell is back stronger than ever!!! She ran a fantastic campaign, winning the June 2020 Republican primary, with 45.6% of the vote against Claire Chase and Chris Mathys. Yvette Herrell goes on to face Democrat socialist Xochitl Torres Small in the November 2020 General Election. Herrell has worked tirelessly to flip this seat, and change New Mexico for the better! Voting the career politicians out of office, such as Xochitl Torres Small, Ben Ray Lujan, and Deb Haaland is now more imperative than ever for our state’s future.

Herrell has campaigned throughout New Mexico, making appearances at “ReOpen NM” rallies and fighting for our constitutional rights as our tyrant Governor MLG continues to try to eradicate them. Yvette is a loyal supporter of our great President, Donald Trump, and is dedicated to flipping New Mexico Red this 2020 general election. She has come together with all of our Republican candidates in a combined effort to rid Congress of the career politicians currently holding offices. Let’s rally behind Yvette Herrell and her boots-on-the-ground, grassroots efforts to help New Mexico and its citizens. Go Vote! Stand up for our future by changing this state and making it great once again! Herrell2020.

Dem former Congressman Harry Teague endorses GOP’s Yvette Herrell over fellow Dem Torres Small

On Tuesday, in a crippling blow to Democrat Rep. Xochitl Torres Small, former Rep. Harry Teague (D-NM), who used to represent the 2nd District, endorsed Republican challenger and former state Rep. Yvette Herrell for the race.

“Ultimately, it is time to vote for candidates that will protect and lead New Mexico no matter what their party tells them to do,” Teague said in a statement. “We must vote for candidates that have the interests of New Mexicans first, who will stand up to their party and put their personal ambitions aside for the best interests of New Mexico.”

“New Mexico must have a Congresswoman represent the 2nd Congressional district that knows and appreciates the impact the energy industry has on all New Mexicans,” Teague added.

Teague represented the District from 2009 to 2011, the only Democrat to do so in nearly 30 years.

Herrell commented on the influential endorsement, saying, “It’s a true honor to have Congressman Teague’s support – I am dedicated to bridging the gaps that divide us!”

In massive victory, Yvette Herrell wins GOP nomination for CD-2

Late on Tuesday night, after a contentious three-way primary between former state Rep. Yvette Herrell, millionaire oil lobbyist Claire Chase, and Las Cruces businessman Chris Mathys, it was finally called that Herrell would be the Republican chosen to face-off against first-term Democrat Rep. Xochitl Torres Small in November.

At around 8:35 A.M. on Wednesday, Herrell carried 45% of the vote to Chase’s 32% and Mathys’ 24% with 596/641 precincts partially reporting. The Associated Press and local news outlets have safely called the race for Yvette Herrell.

Over the course of the heated primary, the candidates took shots at each other, mainly over their support for Trump, however, the voters appear to have chosen the “Trumpiest” of all, Yvette Herrell.

During her time in the New Mexico House of Representatives, Herrell sponsored multiple pro-life bills, as well as championed conservative fiscal and energy policy.

Herrell’s win marks a rematch between her and Torres Small, who “won” in 2018 after absentee ballots were found out of nowhere and miraculously gave her a win over Herrell after the race was already called for Herrell. A subsequent audit found massive fraud and statistically impossible results.

But Herrell will once again face off against the far-left Democrat to reclaim the seat for Republicans, with President Trump at the top of the ticket.

This is a developing story…

Anti-Trump ex-lobbyist Claire Chase won’t fight for the working-class people of CD-2

One week ahead of New Mexico’s primary election, New Mexico voters will see two very important things about the candidates and the campaigns they are running. First, they will see what lengths candidates will go to earn a vote — be that throwing out low blows on their primary opponents, or see what the outside groups supporting them will do. Second, they will see what lows their supporters will go to hit the other guy as hard as one can, to see if the sleaze they’ve dropped will stick.

Many candidates, mainly Claire Chase, has blatantly fumed hatred for President Trump, calling him an “a**hole unworthy of the office,” and claiming to have voted for pro-abortion Libertarian Gary Johnson for President in 2016. Now, Chase claims she did indeed vote for Trump. But after Trump won the presidency, she joked about moving to Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, and “Columbia” to escape Trump.

With just a week remaining, Chase, who has hired many of the same consultants tied to Jay McCleskey, the “slash and burn” political hitman, is sure to continue hitting her opponents below the belt with ad-hominem attacks and claims of non-existent “anti-Trump” sentiments, despite her deep-seated hatred for the President of the United States.

Opportunism is a funny thing — especially if it comes in the brand of Claire Chase, a multimillionaire ex-lobbyist whose constitution could not stomach the prospect of Trump as President, saying the 45th POTUS made her “throw up in [her] mouth.” Now, the NeverTrump candidate, whose experience equals a low-level ten-month staff position due to a vacancy in former Congressman Steve Pearce’s office and an eight-month stint at NM Oil and Gas Association, conveniently claims to love the President now, and also to be an avid “pro-life activist.” However, there is no evidence to back up either claim. Chase also claims to have been Pearce’s “most senior” legislative staffer, but that is untrue.

During the 2019 pro-life fight against abortion up-to-birth HB-51, there was silence from Chase on the bill. Also, she has failed to produce a single piece if proof claiming she has done any work whatsoever in or for the pro-life movement. Her opponent, former Rep. Yvette Herrell constantly sponsored pro-life bills, and boldly stood up for Life as a legislator, working alongside Republicans and Democrats to defend the most vulnerable in our society: the unborn.

While Chase worked at NM Oil and Gas for the short period, the organization gave money to anti-oil Democrats while taking a neutral stance on the radical “Energy Transition Act,” New Mexico’s version of the “Green New Deal.” While Chase had the opportunity to act against the measure aiming to completely wipe out New Mexico oil and gas by 2050, she didn’t stand up for the hard-working oil producers in the Southeast corner of our state — despite claiming to be a champion of the industry.

Chase also claimed to have “first-hand experience” as a pecan farmer, but there is no evidence showing she worked for the farm owned by the multimillion-dollar family she married into. Claire Chase was not listed on any ownership paperwork for Chase Farms, and neither was her husband, Chance Chase.

Judging by the groups who have come to support Chase, such as the super PAC, “Defending Main Street,” run by the anti-Trump “Main Street Partnership,” it’s not ambiguous what kind of member of Congress she would be. A PAC called “Citizens for a United New Mexico” is closely tied to Chase’s campaign. Chase’s campaign chair, Nancy Brantley’s husband, George Brantley, gave over $25,000 to the PAC — a clear conflict of interest. The PAC has bashed both opponents Yvette Herrell and Chris Mathys with hit jobs.

Despite working for both Rep. Steve Pearce (who serve in the New Mexico Legislature before serving in Congress), and the late Sen. Pete Domenici (R-NM), who served in the U.S. Senate for over thirty years, she dares attack opponent Yvette Herrell as a “career politician,” despite Herrell spending a mere eight years in the New Mexico House of Representatives, and signing onto the U.S. Term Limits pledge By working for multiple congressional outfits in D.C. and for serving as a lobbyist in Santa Fe, wouldn’t that qualify Chase as the very thing she’s trying to portray Herrell as? Chase still has her (202) area code phone number, despite living in New Mexico — where a resident would use a (505) or (575) number.

During Herrell’s time in the Legislature, she was ranked the most conservative member and served in leadership roles for the conservative American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), which has hundreds of conservative Republican members from across the country as members. However, Chase and her allies have bashed ALEC, despite their record of conservatism.

If that wasn’t enough, Chase hired Chris Grant of the consulting firm “Big Dog Strategies.” Grant was a legislative aide for disgraced ex-Congressman Chris Collins who was convicted of insider trading and resigned from Congress. Grant benefited from the insider trading tip from Rep. Collins, avoiding him a loss of $11,200. Now, Chase has hired the consultant despite his shady past.

But despite the facts not being on Chase’s side, she has been unrelenting in her bitter campaign against Herrell, sending out mailers bashing the former New Mexico legislator, and falsely claiming from an out-of-state surrogate that Herrell tried to bash Chase’s previous divorce — despite Herrell being divorced herself.

The negative campaigning on behalf of Chase and her anti-Trump surrogates proves that she is willing to go to any low length to win the campaign by slinging mud but won’t address the countless facts showing her lack of a conservative, pro-Trump record, and her deep connection to the Washington, D.C. Swamp.

Unlike my own experience in D.C., working for a non-profit pro-life legal group, as a staffer for Chevron’s government affairs department championing oil and gas policy alongside the Trump Administration, as a manager for one of President Trump’s largest independent ally organizations, and as a pro-life sidewalk counselor on weekends, Chase has skewed her experience and made claims she cannot prove with any relevant experience.

New Mexico’s Second Congressional District needs a champion, and most importantly a REPRESENTATIVE of the people, who will work in their best interest when they get to D.C. The sprawling District full of hard-working, working-class patriots needs a champion for their interests. They need someone who will work day and night to support the values they care about while in the Nation’s Capitol, fight hard against the far-left extremists tearing down the fabric of our nation, support President Trump, and show up for the people of CD-2 when it matters.

It is clear that the only person in this race who has a proven commitment to the people of the Second District is Yvette Herrell, a patriotic champion of, by, and for the people. Yvette isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty, and she doesn’t just give constituents lip service. Yvette’s proven, well-documented, and incomparable record of ethical leadership and strong advocacy for our most important issues, such as the Right to Life and our Second Amendment, is the only one in this race who can go head to head with Xochitl Torres Small and win — again.

I’ve worked alongside Yvette while working as a committee aide at the New Mexico Legislature, and she treats everyone, from the janitorial staff to the Speaker of the House with respect, she does her homework, and most importantly, she fights — and fights hard for our rights.

We don’t need a multimillionaire ex-lobbyist who has never done a hard day’s work in her life as our representative — we need a worker. Yvette is the worker we need representing us in Congress.

Torres Small triggered by proof of fraud in 2018 CD-2 race — claims it’s a ‘conspiracy theory’

On Thursday, Rep. Xochitl Torres Small, who is running again for the 2nd Congressional District, sent out a panicky-sounding fundraising email trying to disprove the blatant fraud uncovered in the 2018 race, which she “won” by the grace of absentee ballots showing up out of the blue in Doña Ana County.

The email, titled “NEW: Yvette’s latest conspiracy theory” appears to be in response to a video Herrell released three months ago regarding the massive signs of fraud found in the 2018 race.

Torres Small’s email reads, “Yvette Herrell just released her 1 minute pitch to voters, and she’s taking her conspiracy theories to a new level, even going so far as to allege that there was ‘fraud’ in 2018.”

But despite Torres Small’s best attempts at masking the fraud that did, indeed happen in 2018, evidence proves that fraud was rampant.

On election night 2018,Republican Yvette Herrell was up in the vote count late in the evening. However, the Secretary of State’s office announced that ballots would cease to be counted until the next morning. From the time counting stopped to when it resumed in the morning, there would be ample time for the outcome to flip — be it organically or by the hands of those handling the votes.

That morning, ballots were found that pushed Democrat Xochitl Torres Small into a tight win, in counties where Small lost handily, such as in heavily-Republican Eddy County, only receiving 30% of the vote. But Torres Small’s absentee number was a much higher figure, 54.7%, close to double.

According to the report conducted after the election, “These anomalies are not simply organic. Reviewing the historical returns in the CD2 district, over the last five election cycles, the same degrees of variation between absentee votes and EV/ED votes do not exist in CD2 in any cycle to the degree found in the 2018 race.”

Other major anomalies occurred, but the most malevolent of them is the 25% of absentee voters who requested ballots in Doña Ana County and never returned them — a number that rarely reaches 5%. According to the report:

“it is probably the strongest purely statistical red flag present in this whole election  — of the possibility that someone was submitting absentee ballot applications for Democrats. There is also a significantly high number of duplicate applications — where one voter supposedly submitted more than one absentee ballot application or submitted an absentee application after the absentee ballot had been received, or the voter had voted in person. In many of these cases the signature on the duplicate applications do not match each other.”

Torres Small claims that election fraud did not happen and that her supposed “win in 2018 was real.” But the anomalies, as proven by the independent report prove that such anomalies cannot possibly be coincidental. Her email fundraising gimmick appears to be just another way for her campaign to solicit donations based on a conspiracy theory of her own.

‘Libel’: Claire Chase plants false story with out-of-state, expletive-laced source hitting Yvette Herrell

On Tuesday, Russell Contreras from the Associated Press, a clear ally of Claire Chase’s campaign, published a blatantly false story about the contentious 2nd Congressional District race, in which an out-of-state resident, Florida’s Jared Richardson, claims Yvette Herrell spoke to him about Chase’s past divorce.

“She called on two different occasions to spread these (expletive) rumors,” said Richardson in an interview with the AP.

The false story coincidentally dropped the same day absentee voting begins, and as Herrell is being supported with $100,000 from an independent, pro-Trump group, the House Freedom Action Super PAC, which is backed by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), President Trump’s Chief of Staff former Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC), and Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA). Herrell has also been running an ad with Chase’s words read verbatim, calling President Trump an “a**hole unworthy of the office,” and “super offensive.”

“[Herrell] said she called on April 8 to discuss her run for the seat in 2018 — Richardson has supported another GOP candidate — and said Richardson later called her back and accused her of spreading the Chase rumor. ‘His allegation is 100% false,’” according to the AP report.

The story also tries to link violent provocateur “cartoonist” Roger Rael with Herrell’s campaign, despite Rael targeting Herrell, among other pro-Trump Republicans, such as “Pro-Gun Women” leader Stefani Lord, pro-Trump conservative talk radio host Eddy Aragon “The Rock of Talk,” Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman, former Congressman Steve Pearce, Republican Party of New Mexico Executive Director Anissa Ford Tinnin, and other Republicans in his libelous internet graphics. Rael has attacked conservatives in the state, both verbally and physically, with sexist, homophobic, and false character assassinations, which Chase apparently looks to seize upon for political gain.

A slanderous cartoon by Roger Rael slamming Herrell and other pro-Trump conservatives.

“‘I have never attempted to use personal rumors about Claire in this race, and will never do so. Neither has my campaign,’ said Herrell, who has been divorced twice. ‘I will take any legal steps necessary to protect myself against libel.’”

The nasty attacks by Claire Chase, her out-of-state source, and the help of a violent cartoon artist appear to be desperate attempts to slander Herrell since her previous attacks on the New Mexico lawmaker don’t appear to stick.

Liberals are looking to capitalize on Chase dividing Republicans in Southern New Mexico, delivering a re-election win for incumbent Democrat Xochitl Torres Small. The AP report proved this with a quote from leftist UNM professor Gabriel Sanchez, saying “the nastiness of the GOP primary will leave the eventual winner so battered and bruised that Republicans will have a hard time going up against Democratic incumbent U.S. Rep. Xochitl Torres Small of Las Cruces in the general election.”

Pro-Trump Congressman Jim Jordan appears in TV ad for New Mexico U.S. House candidate

On Friday, former New Mexico Rep. Yvette Herrell’s campaign released a new television advertisement featuring pro-Trump Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), in which he called New Mexico’s 2nd Congressional District voters to send Herrell to Washington, D.C. to join him.

“I’m fighting for our country, and our President, every day. And I’m asking you to send Yvette Herrell to join us in that fight. I’ve known Yvette for years — she’s rock solid. Yvette will take on the Washington swamp, she’ll boldly stand with President Trump to secure our border, hold China accountable, help restart our great economy. Don’t believe the special interest lies you’re hearing. Vote Yvette Herrell for Congress,” Jordan said in the ad.

In 2018, Jordan was an early endorsement of Herrell’s congressional campaign, writing, “Yvette is a proven conservative who is not afraid to fight for the principles of limited government and fiscal responsibility originally envisioned by our Founding Fathers. I look forward to having an ally like Yvette Herrell in the House of Representatives.”

The new uplifting ad from one of Congress’ staunchest defenders of President Donald Trump comes in the wake of a firestorm of lie-filled ads from out-of-state PACs and Herrell’s opposition in the race, apparently seeing her campaign as a threat.
