The African American Performing Arts Center at Expo New Mexico will soon see the name of Sheryl Williams Stapleton, a former official with Albuquerque Public Schools and an ex-state legislator, taken down from its facade.
This decision comes in light of Williams Stapleton facing serious allegations at both the federal and local levels for misappropriating public funds. The name removal ceremony is scheduled for next Friday.
Earlier in the week, Williams Stapleton was hit with federal charges, including bribery, money laundering, and defrauding the U.S. government. These charges were brought forth in connection with accusations that she, in collaboration with Joseph Johnson, misused millions in federal funding for personal gain. Additionally, she was indicted on charges of racketeering and money laundering among others related to the misuse of state funds two years prior.
In response to these allegations, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham issued a statement, writing, “After careful consideration, I have decided that the serious charges levied against former Rep. Sheryl Williams Stapleton in a 35-count federal indictment this week warrant removal of her name from the African American Performing Arts Center at Expo New Mexico. If she is exonerated of these alleged financial crimes in a court of law, the New Mexico Legislature can consider returning her name to the facility.”
This stance marks a shift from the Governor’s previous position in 2021, following the state charges against Williams Stapleton.
At that time, Governor Lujan Grisham had expressed a more cautious approach, indicating that her office would refrain from “premature actions” given the principle that “Stapleton is innocent until proven guilty.”

MLG was FULLY AWARE of what Stapleton was doing. She couldn’t not be. She’s only taking these dramatic measures because it would reflect badly on her if she didn’t. Kind of like how she handled Fort Bayard back in the day. She and Richardson knew what was going on there and chose not to handle it until the complaints became loudly obvious, vocal….and oh….people died. MLG doesn’t handle anything until it personally jeopardizes her and her pockets. Let’s talk about Epstein and Zorro Ranch, too. MLG and Richardson went to parties there, and she’s aware that Standbury and Leger worked for Maxwell’s money-laundering fake company. Until the spotlight shines on her, MLG will ignore it and tell us there’s nothing to see here and we’re spreading misinformation and fake news.

I mean, this is a good thing. But, I just thought that she would never do anything like this at all. But, I have to say it, it’s about time Lujan Grisham actually does something right this time. Sheryl Williams Stapleton has to be one of the most corrupted individuals, not just in the United States, not just across the globe, not just across the observable universe, if there are planets out there who have intelligent life like we do, which we know there are and if they have corrupt politicians like we do, but she’s also one of the most corrupted individuals in New Mexico and across the Desert Southwest(New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma, Mexico, California, Colorado, Nevada, Utah), but in this case, in New Mexico, along with Lujan Grisham herself of course and Martin Heinrich, to name a couple. I hate Lujan Grisham with passion, but I am actually glad she did something right this time.
And, we all know that Easter is tomorrow right? Well, our so-called “President”, Joe Biden and his administration have done something that will make you common sense minded people and Christians and Jewish folks, etc, very, very angry, for good reasons. The Biden administration has announced that tomorrow, Easter Sunday, will be “Transgender Visibility Day”. I’m not kidding! This is not a joke! They are really doing this. You know something, this is why the transgender agenda has become way too radical for people. Especially the fact that their doing this on one of the most sacred days of the year, Easter Sunday! The day where we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Son of God, the Messiah. Yet, our so-called President, Joe Biden, is going to make the same day as Easter Sunday…. Transgender Visibility Day?! What?! That is an insult to the Christian faith and religion. President Trump has even said it and he’s right. This transgender agenda has become way too much for people. Now understand this, transgender people are people too. I’m not going to say that transgender people aren’t people. They are. Sure, transgender people, especially those who are on the Left, have a sick, twisted, perverted way of showing that they are people too. But, they are people too nonetheless. But, for the Left and today’s Democratic Party to purposefully shove the transgender agenda down our throats, then to insult things like the Christian faith by making the same day that we Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, Transgender Visibility Day?! This shows that the transgender agenda has become way too much for people to handle. I’m not saying that we should kill all transgender people or anything like that. But, this purposeful and explicitly of shoving down the transgender agenda to people, including children, has got to stop ASAP. This radical leftist transgender agenda is destroying our country and it’s destroying other countries including the United Kingdom, and it is destroying our children and our schools and women’s and girls’s sports. Sorry to tell you people who are leftists or are on the Left or are supporters of the transgender agenda, but it’s true. This is why naming buildings, schools, streets, etc. for someone should only take place when the person is dead.
I’m sure it took this long as Sheryl Williams Stapleton was most likely a LARGE donor to the MLG campaign……….probably with some of that pilfered APS money
