In her latest snub to New Mexico healthcare professionals, Democrat Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, 63, is once again fleeing the state for Washington, D.C. to get her knee replaced. This comes after a previous September 2022 visit to the nation’s capital, where she had “a consultation on an ongoing knee injury with an orthopedic surgeon from whom she has previously received treatment, according to her office,” as reported at the time.
Now, the governor’s office has confirmed she will be going off to D.C. again. The Associated Press reported, “Lujan Grisham was scheduled to depart Tuesday and return next week after the replacement of her right knee with an artificial joint. She consulted with an orthopedic surgeon in September after aggravating a previous injury.”
The Albuquerque Journal noted that the governor is expected to return to New Mexico in time for the January 17 opening day festivities of the Legislature, where she will deliver her State of the State address.
“Lujan Grisham spokeswoman, Nora Meyers Sackett, said Tuesday the governor expects to deliver an in-person State of the State Address on the opening day of the 60-day legislative session. She has delivered the speech remotely during each of the last two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” the Journal noted.
It is unclear why the governor snubbed New Mexico doctors, who could have easily performed the routine knee replacement surgery in-state. It is also unclear who she may be meeting with while in Washington, D.C.
Previously, Lujan Grisham was angered over a debate with her former opponent, Republican Mark Ronchetti, who would not sit at a table to spar with the scandal-ridden governor. Instead, he stood at a podium, which is customary for debates.
Lujan Grisham has planned to attempt to ram through many far-left policy proposals in the upcoming 2023 Legislative Session, including trying to codify abortion up-to-birth and infanticide into state law, as well as enviro-Marxist proposals to enshrine her Green New Deal.

Its news because 50% of the state is on medicaid, they can’t go to DC for surgery and the other 50% with healthcare have to accept what we have here. It’s elitism. Using the excuse it was a doc that saw her previously doesn’t fly because this state is BLEEDING doctors, so who gets to see the doc that last treated them? If she believed in NM healthcare she should have stayed here and got the lackluster care we get.
yes i am puzzled as well. why are we defending the butchers and murderers who are still killing people here and pushing poison? there is no health care in western medicine, only management, to make money, not heal or cure.

Dr Hanosh replaced both of my knees and he is phenomenal! It has been 11 1/2 years and I’m still in no pain and only rarely use a cane. I used to walk with crutches. Her loss!! What a fool!
We have top notch specialists locally. Had both of my knees replaced right here in Alamogordo. No problems with them since. She obviously has an alternative notion for going to DC.
I wonder just what she likes about New Mexico. She dislikes our doctors, our businesses, our workers, especially oil and gas employees. Guess she likes unlawful people like criminals, drug users and people who break into our state from other countries..

all doctors have revealed themselves in the last few years and should all go to prison, except for a few who stood up to the mass fraud and murder of the plandemic. its too bad people did not realize this sooner, the government is doing what they have always done, just expanding their reach now to more people.

The “knee replacement” is just an excuse to keep Her Rotundity in the eye of the d.c. cartel rather than any true medical concern. I’m not a structural engineer so I’d have a real concern with calculating the GROSS weight / chicken leg support ratio needed for such an operation.
Had mlg been looking for a brain transplant I do have some experience in whacking chickens and feel confident that I could have done a mediocre job of swapping the unused noggin of mlg for the fully functioning head/brain of a Barred Rock or Aracana hen – resulting in a net gain of brain cells for mlg.

She’s following the example of her mentor, Bill Richardson. Remember he sucked NM dry and then moved away. When her second term ends, I expect her to leave our state in a shambles like he did.
It’s easy to get surgery wherever you want when you steal and misuse money from your taxpayers. We pay for her fancy food and her inappropriate grabbing scandals too. NM doctors are beneath her.
