On Thursday, during Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s COVID-19 press conference with Health Secretary Dr. David Scrase. They announced new coronavirus cases and 21 deaths they claim are due to COVID-19. During the briefing, Lujan Grisham brought up her frustration with New Mexicans not following her strict public health orders.
“You’re going to hear from medical professionals that say you should get too used to wearing a mask, even indoors in your own home because too many of us are asymptomatic, and we just don’t know,” said the Governor.
“And you have to stay away from other individuals. I cannot tell you how many times we all see — all of us — on social media where people are taking photos without their masks right next to each other and saying, ‘Well… you know, I was six feet… I had a mask on.’ You were right next to another human being. You cannot get close to other humans. If you are six feet — within six feet of another New Mexican, you are too close. You are increasing the opportunity for this virus to spread,” continued Lujan Grisham.
The Governor added, “I implore all of us. These are the things that will make the difference. If we do not do them, more drastic decision making will occur and we will have a horrible November and a dramatically bad December. And nobody in this state deserves that.”
“It’s hard for me to remain patient,” said Dr. Scrase. “We are preparing all of our institutions for an Italy-like situation in the next couple weeks.” He also said he predicts the COVID-19 pandemic to extend well over another year’s time.
Lujan Grisham also threatened small businesses with a new public health order, saying, “For every single business that has somehow picked one of the public health options for an essential business and ignored the five-person gathering, that’s no longer going to be a loophole. This wasn’t intended to crest opportunities for folks to further spread COVID. So that’s going to get done immediately. It’s going to affect a whole number of businesses.”
The Governor added, “And you know we’re doing our crackdown, and you know that we’re doing our enforcement,” adding, “More is coming because those opportunities for us to do less because we are doing more in mask-wearing, social distancing, and other public health hygiene didn’t occur.”
Lujan Grisham also complained about local Law Enforcers unwilling to enforce her mandates.
Dr. Scrase spoke about a “wedding” and “potluck” being a “spreader” infecting 15 people and urging support of the Governor’s lockdown.
Although new public health orders went into effect today, the Governor’s strong stance on a potential new lockdown appears inevitable, based on her comments during the press conference, especially with her bleak outlook on the months of November and December.

I can’t believe there’s nothing we can do to get this tyrant back into her Constitutional box. In my heart I believe we had a lot of cheating in this state because I’ve lived here for 64 years and never have I seen such a hated Governor. I just couldn’t believe we end up sending cousin Benny Ray to the senate. I’m tired of corrupt Democrats cities ruling over rural counties and that is a reality all over the country. Somehow, we have to get out from under this corruption. I feel like this evil little dictator has a pillow over my face smothering me. I feel that way about the Presidential election. We all know the will of the people is Donald Trump as our president and they are stealing it from us. I believe that if he doesn’t prevail, his presidency will be the last gasp of our once great nation. The globalists will consume us and we’ll never gain freedom again. Somehow, we have to keep up the energy that put him in office. We have to find a way to overcome the evil with good.
After she stressed wearing masks in homes, a group of people, whose political stance were unknown to others, all got a big laugh. I know folks are frustrated with her and her mandates and fear mongering, but its hilarious to see this governor struggle with a NM social issue that is obviously beyond her capabilities to manage and lead. Just go on with your lives and ignore her, support our businesses, people have a right to make a living for their families.

People, yes, she’s a tyrant, but the Democratic governors ALL are keeping us tightly locked down because there is a socialist agenda afoot that will erode our civil liberties. Their dictates get the public used to following orders just as in a totalitarian state..
When you have a dictatorship people will sacrifice their civil liberties in exchange for security. MLG; ‘I stand for your health.” So, week after week, she demands compliance with her orders and if we do not do as she commands, she threatens us with even more draconian measures.
The virtue I personally treasure most is liberty. “Give me liberty or give me death.” At the age of 67, I am ready to die for that which I value most and that is the America the Founding Fathers envisioned.
If the relatively small New Mexican population cannot keep her in check, what state stands a chance of successfully fighting back against those governors of both parties who rob us of our freedom?

Wearing a face mask in your own home, in our home it is just my husband and I. Do our dogs need face masks? They are part of our family.
Maybe our governor needs to practice what she preaches. At an election party hosted by her, the picture on Facebook showed more than 5 people. There were a lot more than five and nobody had a Mask on!!!! Yet, we need to wear a mask!!!

The Governor and Secretary of State are run by their corrupt party to bankrupt the small businesses in the state. Their lockdown and mask mandate are planned to keep the virus in the population long enough to ruin the state. Covid has a .025% fatality rate. The majority of reported Covid deaths are not true. Only 9000 people died in US in last 8 months that didn’t have terrible comorbidities. The virus will run it’s course if we just go back to precovid normal. Less people have died so far in 2020 than by this time in 2019. We are not having a pandemic. This is a political psy-op. I am personally disgusted at the way New Mexicans believe the propaganda spewed out by crooked Governors and main stream news media. How stupid and pusillanimous are New Mexicans. Please grow some cajonies and throw your masks away and have a large holiday dinner. The testing for this virus is not even accurate.
