Report: Antisemites viciously attack UNM student after hearing him speak Hebrew

It was reported late on Monday by Dov Hikind, a former New York state assemblyman and founder of Americans Against Antisemitism that an unnamed student at the University of New Mexico was viciously attacked by four to five men after hearing the student speak in Hebrew.

“A student at [the] University of New Mexico was out with friends this past weekend in Albuquerque. After hearing him speak Hebrew, some 4-5 men (a few were identified as Arab) began viciously attacking him while shouting antisemitic slurs,” wrote Hikind.

In the photographs shared of the student, it appears the incident left him with a black eye, bruises around the base of his nose, among possibly other unknown injuries at this time.

Hikind noted that “The hate criminals remain at large.”

The Piñon Post is investigating for more information on the matter and this report will be updated with any further developments. Requests for comment have been made to the UNM Police through the school.

According to the details of the incident, it may have been an incident that happened at 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 8th, where an unspecified “aggravated battery” occurred at the Cornell Parking Structure.

  1. The persons that attached this student need to get out of our country. This is un-American and against the Judeo-Christian values. We are still One Nation Under God – if we can keep it.

  2. It is totally disgusting that Albuquerque has a problem with Arabs or any others from attacking a person for their ethnicity, religion or even speaking the Hebrew language. Animals like this need to be caught and prosecuted or shipped out of the country. We do not support violence of any sort and it is time these bullies are found quickly and prosecuted with more than just a slap on the wrist. America is now being viewed on the world scene as a nation of weak people by what they see in our government leadership. As Americans we need to join together whenever we see any violence like this and stand up and protect the innocent. Real Americans that believe in what this country was founded on need to stand up now before the freedom we all grew up under is lost to the wicked no matter who they are. If you give bullies like this an inch they will take a mile.

Its unfortunate how many of these situations do turn out to be scams. Either way, we can all aspire to be better than this, and we should keep our eyes and ears peeled for any if this type of behavior in The Land of Enchantment. #NotMyNM

    2. Maybe it happened maybe it didn’t. If it happened it is deplorable, regardless of the perpetrators. If it didn’t happen all of those jumping on the story will be like the media that breathlessly reported the Jussie Smollett hoax.

  3. Is it time for the police to begin considering that perhaps there may have been some intentional inaccuracies in the report, like in the Smollett case? Not saying there were, but obviously there is a lot of precedent. If there was intent to inflame opinion falsely (and I am not saying there was) that is very serious and should be followed up on. If there was no such intent, that should be proven as well in order to allay suspicion. This should not be dismissed at this juncture.
