On Tuesday, August 10, 2021, outed sexual predator New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo resigned in disgrace following allegations he sexually harassed multiple women. He did not pay off any of his accusers hush money but still resigned over his actions. However, one of his closest allies, who also is accused of sexual misconduct, has paid off her accusers. Her name is Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham of New Mexico. She paid accusers $150,000!

To: Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham
We, the undersigned citizens of New Mexico hereby demand you follow your ally Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s lead and resign following multiple allegations against you, including one in which you paid $150,000 in hush money to a sexual accuser, James Hallinan, who claimed you poured water over his crotch and then groped him.
You also are alleged to have grabbed a man, Eddie Dehart, by the crotch at a party, causing his relationship to crumble and inflict years of emotional damage upon him.
Your actions, including your payoff to your sexual accuser, not only are a disgrace to your office, they show clear intent by you to silence victims of sexual violence and delegitimize their lived experiences.
As you claimed in March 2021 regarding Cuomo, “I’m, frankly, in that group of elected leaders, that you believe the individual, you give real credit and credibility there, if you don’t, we are revictimizing brave men and women who come forward.”
We demand you live by your own standard and not revictimize these men and their stories.
