Police have released the identity of the Farmington, New Mexico shooter who killed three and injured at least six others as 18-year-old Beau Wilson, a student at Farmington High School who was set to graduate the day after the Monday shooting spree. Police fatally shot Wilson.
The victims who died from Wilson’s rampage include 97-year-old Gwendolyn Schofield, her 73-year-old daughter, Melody Ivie, and 79-year-old Shirley Voita.
In a Tuesday briefing, Farmington Deputy Police Chief Kyle Dowdy said the shooting in the residential area between Dustin and Ute streets appears “to be purely random and had no specific targets or motives that we can identify at this time.”
Dowdy said Wilson lived at an address in the neighborhood where the shootings took place. However, there was no indication he knew any of his victims.
A 16-year-old friend of the shooter told the Albuquerque Journal that during the shooting, he sent Wilson a Snapchat message about the shooting.
“The 16-year-old said he saw a video on TikTok of his friend being shot by officers. He said he knew instantly — by the way Wilson was walking — who it was,” the report noted.
The friend said, “I knew he was going to do something bad, but I didn’t think it was going to be something like that.”
“What he did was wrong,” the teenager said. “But everyone is going to see him as the mass shooter of Farmington, and I’m going to see him as Beau.”
As for a motive of the shooting, police said, “We’ve discovered nothing that leads us to believe that the suspect knew” and “We’re pretty confident in that this was completely random.”
Dowdy noted Wilson had a history of “minor infractions as a juvenile” and was believed to have suffered from an unspecified mental illness but nothing that “would rise on our radar.”
Where are the parents?; where is any family?; What mental health issue? Friends knew what was going on but did not think it serious? Too many of these kids the liberals have ruined over sixty years of societal manipulation. It is time to get back to the 1950s.
You can’t simply re-create the 1950’s and expect it to fix families and children, but what was the SOURCE of the values in the 1950’s? Christianity. God’s creation and order, and people who feared God. Young kids don’t care about traditions alone, they need to know WHY.
Just as hippies were searching for answers in the late 60s/70s our youth now are searching for meaning. The Church needs to step up and somehow do a better job to meet these youth and point them to God.
I agree. Let’s look at the parents, the school and all the BS on the Chinese TicTok for some of the answers. Once again, we DO NOT have a gun problem, but a messed up kid problem. We do not need to go to our State’s Alec Baldwin Non-shooting gun response/motive either.
Schools instruct the kids not to tell their parents what goes on in their classrooms. Some parents don’t want to be bothered-others support all the BS their kids are being taught. For example-drag Queen strip shows for kids, that the parents attend with their children. Also parents taking their children as young a 3 years old to “gender clinics” to get them started early for their “gender change.” The schools are teaching your children to distrust their parents and that they shouldn’t communicate with them if they are troubled in any way. All teens and pre-teens go through many changes both physical and emotional they need to communicate with their parents. Instead internet check marks liking their posts, and the schools, tax payers pay for have taken over our children. Ask yourselves, when did you last attend a school board meeting? Do you know what they are teaching your kids? e.g CRT, Porn books on how to perform gay and straight sex etc. Children are being sexualized-let them be kids-all that comes in due time.
Again HIPPA has protected the nutcase. This kids mental status should have been known by law enforcement! If the laws and HIPPA worked as intended NCIC would be able to flag a mentally troubled individual from buying guns!
